Easy parking, and staff were friendly. Got the paneer tikka masala (excellent), they gave a ton of rice and the spice level was appropriate. I actually could have gone a little spicier! The naan is also a really nice texture (a little on the thicker side, which I like). There were plenty of people eating in as well, and it looks like they have a lunch buffet too. On our way back from skiing at Highlands, we needed something warm and spicy. This place had good reviews so we decided to try it out. What I really loved about this restaurant is that they clearly label things that are vegan, this is amazing! Service was very friendly, the restaurant was pretty busy on a Saturday evening, but the food came out pretty fast. We ordered some appetizers, entree, bread and dessert. Spice level medium wasn't the medium we are used to, could have more kick, but other than that the food was good. The portion for the curry wasn't that large for the price. We usually get more at indian restaurants. Know that they charge a fee for credit card payments. It needed to cook longer or needed to be thicker sauce and lacked flavor. We have this dish everywhere and this was sub-par as it lacked flavor / texture of what we were accustomed to getting. This place doesn't look like much on the outside but the inside is very elegant. We walked in on a Sunday lunch and were seated instantly. We were informed that the buffet for lunch doesn't start until after Mother's Day. Ordered the Mutter Paneer and Chicken Tandoori. Both were delicious, I couldn't stop eating. Chicken Tandoori was very tender and flavorful; the onions that the chicken were sitting on were also perfectly caramelized. The Mutter Paneer was creamy and also extremely flavorful. You walk in and it's kind of a simple dining area. Indian Cuisine is one of my favorites (Chicken curry on rice with Naan bread) I was first introduced to Indian cuisine in Florida. Then when I moved back here I learned that we had a restaurant similar and I ate it here the entire time I was pregnant with my son last year. And today it was the best by far!! Absolutely amazing and my 1 year old loved it . The server who took my order, Bhimal was awesome. I wasn't for sure, what I wanted was called and he had me explain it to him and together we figured it out. Great customer service. And the restaurant was peaceful and very clean. We were staying at a bed & breakfast in Charlevoix and were driving around looking for some place to eat. This was a hole in the wall restaurant in a strip mall. Excellent food. Everyone was friendly. The food was great and there was enough for me to have Chicken Tikka Masala for breakfast this morning, too. It tasted just as good the next day. A friend had chicken biryani and they brought his a sauce to go with it. The sauce was like a cross between txatziki and maybe some tahini? The last true Indian food I ate was at a coworker's home about 15 years ago. I tried one Indian restaurant afterwards and it was such a disappointment. Aamchi isn't much to look at and is buried in a strip mall next to my favorite Big Apple Bagel, but the food is amazing! I had the Mix Grill, which is tandoori made, and the garlic naan. It was a ton of delicious food... more than I should have eaten, but I wasn't taking leftovers home! Including a diet Coke and a hefty tip, I dropped $36. A true bargain. As soon as I hear about an restaurant I haven't been to, I'm intrigued! This place is legit! It's takeaway only right now but I went in to order. The menu is sizable with lots of vegetarian and meat dishes. The smell was inside outrageously good! We got Korma, Palak (spinach), butter chicken and madras curries with plain and garlic naan breads. A 30 minute wait was fair but when we got stuck into the food it was so worth the wait! Delicious!!! Absolutely fabulous! Tasty, juicy chicken, deep flavorful sauces, fluffy rice, and real in an oven naan breads! This place is awesome! Give it a go! Don't stop, keep going. We had a horrible experience. My wife and I were kindly greeted at the door and was escorted to our seats. The guy left and we had no idea what to do. He later came back and said it was buffet only. Which we weren't expecting but was okay with. We got up and got our food, then sat back down. The food was lukewarm at BEST and was probably sitting out longer than 30 mins. I ate my plate because I felt obligated that I put food on my plate but my wife didn't even touch hers. We brought it up to the main guy and he went to "test the food temp." He put the thermostat in multiple dishes (cross contamination) and then finally showed us the last dish which I saw a worker a minute prior just add new hot food. It would have been different if they told us they were bringing new food which was fresh and not sitting around. He charged us both for the full price for the buffet which was around $25 each! I told him I was fine with mine because I did eat but my wife didn't even touch hers cause it was cold. I'm disgusted as a guest and feel like just another number. I paid for it both of us but working in customer service, he should have not charged me for at least my wife. Horrible experience, made our anniversary trip a night to remember. That's for sure. They are back open for dining in store. We've been carry-out patrons for years but the food is so much better when eaten from kitchen to table. I must say the food here is so savory. We've eaten Indian cuisine at many shops across the country, yet this gem exists right here in the Northland. Who could guess that Petoskey Michigan might be home to a taste sensation?
