Repotting in Winter before the growing season is what I do for all my houseplants. When I took this plant out of its tiny pot there was only one root that is about half an inch long. Shocked that I was sold a plant that was never well rooted to begin with. It's chances were not good and it's not thriving at all. I am very experienced with snake plants and own several. After this experience I will never shop there again! I think it is an extremely bad business practice to sell plants from cuttings that are not well rooted. I don't like leaving bad reviews but plants are expensive now and I think people should know what is going on in this store.

Well, I saw a water color painting class event on Facebook being held at Blooming Junction. My sister and I have been really getting into doing water color painting. I signed us both up. I was excited not only for the class, I was really interested in checking out what Blooming Junction had to offer! I'm so glad this opportunity presented itself. Such a lovely nursery, all the plants looked so healthy and well cared for. It's much more than a nursery though. There was a market to buy fresh produce and other sundry items. I was delighted to find Bubbies brand pickles. I find this brand at other stores, but the dill relish has been illusive. I was just thinking to myself this morning while making chickpea salad how I wished I had Bubbies Dill relish..and lo and behold I find it here! So happy! My sister and I strolled around before our class started. Bought a drink in the market to sip on throughout the class. There was a water cooler also in the workshop area. We had fun getting in touch with our creative side! After class ended, we strolled around some more. I ended up getting the Bubbies relish and strawberries. They were so sweet! The lines to check out were reasonable and the store was easy enough to navigate. The store itself has a bit of a strange layout. The building and interior are quite dated and are not particularly aesthetically pleasing. It's a very old-school type of place that probably could use some modernization. I guess you have to embrace the quirkiness of the visual this place creates. It's a local business so I feel inclined to support it. The location is convenient to where I live. Otherwise, it's just a bit more spacious than an Ace and not quite as big as a Home Depot or Lowe's. Every time we are more than satisfied with the service (they couldn't be more helpful) and the product (always very straight forward and quality) but our last order really showed why we keep coming back. We ordered 1.5 yards of river rock to top off some landscape at our rental and unfortunately there was an error based on the size of rock. We called and were lucky enough to get Tanner on the phone. After some phone calls and photo exchange, Tanner offered to load up his truck with an additional yard of stone and deliver is 30 minutes later. He arrived solo and helped unload our rock by hand with a shovel Talk about exceptional service. He was kind, helpful and obviously an exceptionally hard worker. It was just enough to finish our landscape project in time for our tenant to arrive home. We are blown away!!! Thank you Tanner!!! You deserve a raise!
