If you want to come have the mani pedi experience here I would recommend getting gel nails for your mani to avoid early chipping. I am a super fan of Indulgence Salon. Indulgence is far superior to the others. I've only gotten pedicures there but am a loyal customer. I was there last Monday, May 5th. My technicians name was Danny and he has helped me before. He does a really good job and I like a square shape on my toes that looks great when he is done. All the technicians I notice work at the same pace on each client and it feels like a relaxing long time. This, in my opinion is what sets them apart, in addition to the hot stones they use. I thought this was going to be my new nail place. The first time I went I had a decent enough experience. I got. Gel manicure and pedicure before I went on vacation. My pedicure was solid. My gel manicure was..okay. It looked grown out a little bit BUT I was still happy overall. I went back a second time for a gel pedicure. I was happy. But when I went the last time around the holidays I had a bad experience and I will not be going back and I do not recommend this business. I can't remember the mama name who did my nails but I know it started with a J. Maybe Josh or Joseph. Anyway, I have sensitive nails and I told him that. He was holding the drill down for long periods of time to get the remaining gel manicure off my fingers. I did call ahead of time and let them know I had gel on and would need a soak off. They told me to arrive 15 mins early and I did. I told him the drill was hurting and getting hot. He didn't say much but took it off for a second. I flinched because it was getting hot again and let him know. To which he replied "you are too sensitive." I felt like leaving then and I should have. I ended up paying $70 for acrylics that looked two to three weeks grown out and with crooked line work. I did also let them know when I called to make the appointment I wanted nail art done and they said no problem. I don't know if he rushed because A few days later the grown out look was bothering me so much I had to get them removed and paid a different business to take them off. I went to another nail studio where they had a hard time removing my nails and said the salon used it toxic mma powder that is not legal to use. It is bad for your nails. read more

I cannot say ENOUGH great things about this place! I came to indulgence with extremely damaged nails from another salon in Windsor and was lucky enough to be paired with Erika. Erika took one look at my nails and much to my sadness told me she would NOT out acrylic on my nails for at least three weeks so that they could heal. She then gave me medicine to help strengthen my nail beds and sent me home. Three weeks later my nails looked extremely healthy and were ready for acrylics to be re added. I have very oily nail beds but Erika takes such good care of them that I only come in every 3 weeks and RARELY experience lifting. Overall the staff of indulgence cares ultimately about your nails health -they will not do any work on your hands unless they feel like they are in a good spot. I love that -my nails were SO PAPER THIN before coming here and now, three years later even though I have acrylics the nails underneath are hard and healthy. I am always greeted by name and asked if I would like something to drink and a warm compress on my back. It's HEAVEN. The shop itself is extremely clean and the staff seem to WANT to be there -as a customer I am never rushed and I always leave with what I had wanted. read more

My wife and I went to Indulgent Spa in Windsor this afternoon to relax while our toddler was in preschool. We had our (very happy) 4 month old with us, and I am 30 weeks pregnant. I was so looking forward to a nice pedicure and manicure. The pedicure was blissful. After the pedicure, a woman came up and told us the manicures would be one after the other in case the baby cried. Our child doesn't cry, but they looked like they only had a few people working, so we said that was OK. I went first, and my wife held our infant, who was cooing on her lap with a toy. After they finished the fill (but before the color) of my manicure, the same staff never came up and said my wife needed to leave with the infant "because she's crying." My baby was not crying; she had a toy in her mouth and was cooing with a huge smile on her face. My wife informed her that the baby wasn't crying. The woman said, "no? Oh, she's so loud. You still have to leave. This is a place to relax." Yes, this is a place to relax for myself and my wife, also. We were paying nearly $300 for the services we asked for. When asked if there had been complaints by customers, the woman said, "I have two kids." My wife repeated the question four more times until the woman admitted there had been no complaints. We felt very uncomfortable with that woman, so we left without completing the services we had requested. We paid only for what was completed (the pedicures). I was in tears once I reached the car. How dare an employee treat two (of only 4 total clients in the store) this way? When is it appropriate to shame a baby for softly cooing, or to shame a pregnant mother for wanting an hour to spoil herself? We rarely indulge ourselves with manicures and pedicures, but it was a special day for us. That woman took my happiness and shattered it. I sit here, holding my smiling, cooing baby, and I feel angry and indignant. If she did indeed have two children, then she knows how difficult it can be to find even an hour to have for oneself. Spa is far from "relaxing" with the employees that hover over you & nonstop pushing you to make a decision (on colors) and pushing so hard for more services. And FYI if you don't add services, they'll put you on the back burner and no longer a priority. So disappointed in my visits (3x's) And don't take EVER take your children there. Had a really unpleasant experience and will never be returning! And would advise to produce with caution if you chose this establishment for any service. The gentleman who preformed my service was extremely rough with the nail drill when removing my nail polish. At one point he looked away while going over the same spot making my nails extremely thin and causing burning pain. When I told him to stop he tried to compensate by being "gentle" but at that point my nails were already to thin. He made my nails all different lengths and shaped. I wanted to stop the entire service all but I was made feel like I had no other choice. Instead of having feeling relaxed and pampered I felt anxious and violated. read more

When her card reader didn't scan it, she made a big show of stuffing the card in and out of the machine, then shoved it back in my hand and said "your card doesn't work." One thing you'll notice when going to any restaurant or salon for years is how tidy and clean it is at first and then as the years pass, have they kept it clean or do things build up in the closets, corners, etc? THIS PLACE IS STILL SO CLEAN. I don't have a new favorite person yet. My last pedicure April 29th at 11:15 was FANTASTIC and today was ok and she gave a nice massage but the gal was not AS personable. you're not going to click with every operator, but the owner is still gracious and sweet whenever I see her. I feel like I am always searching for the next best pedi. I have my frequent stop places, this salon being top on the list, but I am always feeling like I am on the lookout for the next best spot. I have been coming here for a couple years, it is clean and the ladies are all very sweet. I love that they offer scented water with cucumber and lemons, or tea. You can get a neck warmer if you want while relaxing, and the chairs massage as well as recline. Standard pedicure is $25 or a little less with a cash discount. The nail color selection is expansive and I have never had polish issues after a service here. The girls usually clip to just the right length and do a great job to keep your tootsies in shape. I have left feeling like they could have paid a bit more attention to details when scrubbing and making sure my skin is smooth. Sometimes it can feel like I leave feeling like sandpaper when I didn't come in that way. Just a thought, but maybe buffing after the scrubbing would ensure the skin isn't rough. I am a runner, so I'm not sure if my shines are sensitive sometimes or if they are rough but sometimes the massage hurts because it feels like they press hard and are a little rough to get it done. I'm more of a slow and steady type of gal. I don't have knots on my shines, you can take it easy. Overall, it is a go-to spot, so I appreciate and like the salon. It is not bells and whistles, but it is also not low-budget either. It is a happy medium somewhere in the middle where you know it is clean and the job will be done well. read more

The staff don't gossip with one another while tending to you. I appreciate the fact that all the tools and implements used are wrapped in auto clave packages or the product is brand new. I don't fear of developing a foot/ nail fungus as the bowls are cleaned as you get up to have a seat under the nail dryer. I also appreciate the fact they don't discourage you to use your ATM card; I know it is better for the business but sometimes you want a Pedi and you didn't have time to stop at the ATM before your appointment . To me.... Manicures & Pedicures are a little boost to the body and mind. When it's given as a gift, it touches my heart as well, so....I left Indulgence Nails happy from fingertip to toenail. I came and enjoyed some pampering with 5 of my co-workers (a gift for teacher-appreciation week!) The technical procedure was as expected but the friendliness of everyone involved made the difference. Well, that and the hot oil/lotion they use. LOVELY!! Just had a great experience with Erica at indulgence! I had my nails done on Saturday, and noticed a small chip on one of my fingers today. I went in to see if they could fix it, and they sat me down right away! Erica not only took the time to fix the chip, but I also refreshed all of my other nails with a clear coat, and clipped away some more cuticles. I have been here 4-5 times now, each time with my husband for a pedicure and the occasional manicure for me. The only issue I've ever had here was my last manicure, I felt like they were busy, and the polish was layered too heavily without time to dry in between, so it was kind of that soft, never-dry easily messed up paint job. So I learned to just speak up about it, and they were receptive. Today I came in for a pedi and left with a lesson about how to care for my feetsies better. Although to be honest, I also left paying A LOT more than expected today, (because of the optional but recommended stuff I bought for self-care) I'm still very happy because of the lesson that accompanied the callus treatment, and how to care for my nails after tripping and breaking one to avoid fungus and future issues. I went with friends for the first time for pedicures--two regular, one gel. We were greeted with someone spraying our hands with alcohol before we had a chance to use the hand sanitizer. The two of us getting regular polish were asked to choose colors. Although I wasn't super happy with the selection, I found an okay color. My friend chose a different one. After she was seated with her feet in the water, she was told her color was an extra $2 because it lasted longer. We were given "menus" of different pedicures and had to select from those ranging from $35 up. We chose the basic and got what we paid for. Our technicians seemed to be in a great hurry and were less than friendly, scrubbing roughly. After sitting under the pedicure dryer for quite a while, we finally went to pay. I had my nails done yesterday. The woman was way too rough and got too much nail glue on my SKIN. Then she proceeded to file the nail to the point where my skin peeled open and started to bleed under the nail. Then came the alcohol spray and it burned like hell. She kept digging at it with the cuticle trimmers to get the glue off but that combined with the brutal filing on the side made the cut worse. I kept pulling away. The service there has gone downhill. Not sure I will go back again. I went to Shiloh nails last time and a few of the ladies that used to be at Indulgence are now working there. I continue to put polysporin on my thumb and hope it will heal soon. All I can say is OUCH...OUCH...OUCH! CRUD THAT HURTS! The owner sat next to my manicurist too doing my daughters nails the whole time and didn't notice I was saying ouch. My pedicure was mediocre too . Came in for a pedicure during the week. Made an appointment the day of and was able to get in easily. No wait once we arrived. The chairs are very comfortable and the manicurists are very accommodating. Hanging purses for you, getting you set up, etc. It was a nice pedicure with no problems. My only complaint would be it was a little too fast. Other than that it was very relaxing and she did a great job. If you pay with cash you get a $1 discount. I would go back since it's close to my office and easy to get in and out on a week day. read more
