Worst gel manicure I have ever gotten. I came in and was the only customer. However, five minutes into my manicure a regular customer came in. I could tell she was a regular by how my lady was talking to her and knew a lot about her and wasn't talking to me. She sped through my manicure leaving streaks, bumps and I don't know what else do she could get to her regular customer. I will never be going back. read more

I would leave one star but the ladies in the salon were so sweet, I at least have to give them that. This was by far the worst mani/pedi I have ever had. First, my friend and I both noticed lumps in our gels. We mentioned the lumps to the ladies and they tried to fix it with another coat. We both left with extremely thick, lumpy gels. It was obvious that something wasn't right, we shouldn't have been charged. Second, they cut my nails wayyyy to short. I generally like my nails short but my thumb was so short it was a little painful. Third, I noticed that my nails became "bendy", they were extremely weak and started to crumble off after a few days. I went in to my normal place to have the gel removed and they told me that my nails were damaged and I need to wait a few more months for them to recover before I can get gels again. My friend had to super glue a part of her nail back on after this gel catastrophe. Finally, I now have ingrown toe nails on both big toes! My nails were cut wayyyy too short and now I'm dealing with this slightly painful toe annoyance that may take weeks to fix! It's been a little over a month since we went in there and both my hands and toes are still in recovery. Not happy. Won't be returning. read more

I agree with Peggy G. below. I went in there with a friend to get Gel Nails and had the worst manicure done ever. I even hinted early on that I wasn't pleased with her work and she did nothing to redeem herself or make it better. Still she charged me full price I seriously feel ripped off. Her application of polish was terrible. Every time she applied the color it would drag around the whole cuticle area, then she used her own nail to clean it up, which spread the mess even more! She barley filed the nail it was more like a surface file on the top and no cleaning under the nail at all. she used the same un-sanitized tool and wash cloth on me and my friend. I wouldn't doubt that none of their tools are sterile. The picture of the pedicured feet on the wall is one of the most ugly foot model/picture ive ever seen! And the lady even agreed! I swear the toes are deformed! If that's what they think is pretty im sure you would want to rethink about going in here. At least pay after you see the finish product. I have been going to the Perfect Nail for years. Linda and Shelia are such wonderful people. I have always had an issue with the sides of my toes that hurt. I go in with pain and come out pain free. I am so pleased with how they take care of my Pedicure and Manicure. They are exceptional people and have very kind and gentle spirits. Shelia always give me a leg massage after my pedicure and I always tip her generously she really does a good job. People who complain about this salon in my opinion complain in general. I come here every 2 weeks for fill and pedicure! It's my absolute favorite. Being a Sonoma county local I've tried almost every nail salon from Windsor to Petaluma. Its not big and its not fancy but the quality of work is amazing and so are the technicians. read more

Two stars because I suppose having gel on my nails is better than nothing. Had an appointment for a gel manicure and was out of there by 220. The photos speak as the the quality. Paint baked on by skin, no effort made to paint the end of the nail, granted they are short, but that has not been a problem for other techs that have done my nails and for someone who's supposedly been painting nails as long as Linda has, its a crap job to say the least. She slapped the polish of real quick without bothering to take her time to ensure the whole nail was painted and as close to the cuticle as possible Overall, I'm happy to have color on my fingers again but will not be returning or recommending. Almost a year here in Sebastopol and have yet to meet a competent nail tech, the search continues! AND the tools used were not sanitized or out of the autoclave. read more

I came in with gel already on my nails and wanted a new gel manicure. The nail tech put the wraps and nail polish remover on my existing gel, but she didn't file it first to break the seal to make it easier to remove. When I mentioned this, she said it wasn't necessary. After 20 minutes of sitting there with my fingers wrapped, she decided to take my old gel off. When it didn't come off, she proceeded to scrape and peel the old polish off with her nail clippers. It was painful and almost ruined my nails. I told her to stop and file the polish, but she would not listen. Never going back here again! It's not worth it.... read more

After reading the reviews I expected a decent pedicure. Everything done at Perfect Nails was poor. Minimal soak, hardly any scrub. No attempt to smooth out corns. Limp and brief massage. And the capper was the polish which was so sloppily applied it was all over several toes. She had to be asked to come and clean it all up. I would NEVER return. She also overcharges for such poor work. read more

I love this place! Why? Because after all these years, Linda still puts up with my crazy nitpicking and ALWAYS manages to get me in. I have been going here for a few years. Linda the owner has pretty good English skills and is really personable and funny! She is the best cuticle cutter I have ever been to . She really cuts my cuticles back and never cuts me. I get a basic manicure, often walk in and get my nails done right away and fast for $10. I always leave a $5 tip. I also have gotten pedicure here. Again they are quick, affordable and I appreciate their work...not easy bending over and massaging and washing feet and taking care of callouses etc. I am so grateful to be able to have my feet and hands cared for. I absolutely love this spot for a pedicure or mani/pedi! It is not an upscale salon, but I'm giving 5 stars for the best service, clean environment, sweet and kind people, extremely thorough and make sure you are happy, while treating you like a queen! Had a great experience today on my first visit to Perfect Nails. Brought my 88 year old mother in law for her birthday for a manicure and of course while there i had to have a pedicure. Linda was so personable and professional with her skill, we both left with big smiles vowing to return soon. I would not give them any stars. I went in for a pedicure and was VERY disappointed. They were not clean, and did a horrible job. They hurried through the pedicure, did not file or cut the nails, did a 3 second massage and that was it. In addition, when she painted my toes she did a horrible job getting the paint all over the skin. The pedicure lasted 7 minutes, maybe. I would suggest to everyone not to go here. It is more expensive and a total rip off. read more

Liars! I wanted gel nails (sculptures). One lady working was confused the other said they do and then spoke in their language. I sat down and the first lady was looking for gel the other handed her powder and told us it was gel. Then she proceeded to apply acrylic onto my nails! The outcome was horrible uneven nails, paint job was terrible, left with paint on four fingers , and it took a very long time. I have never reviewed any places before but these people are liars that don't give a crap about anything but getting your money. I will never go there again. read more

The problem at this salon is that there are two women who work here, and the quality of their work is so different. One, named Linda, does quick, excellent work on mani's and pedi's. The other, her colleague, is not very good. So, there is no telling who you will end up with even if you make an appointment. My heart sinks when I walk in and Linda is busy - and then when I am assigned to her colleague, I don't have the nerve to say, "Not her --- you!" So it's uncomfortable, so I am just not going to go back. My last pedicure, when I gave the colleague one last chance, was substandard. read more
