So, I decided to give this place a shot. In the process of testing the wheel, they found a problem with the chain and offered to replace it for $15. Pleasantly surprised by the price, I gladly accepted their offer. I hung around in the shop and watched them work. In the meantime, people kept dropping in with their bikes, but somehow they were able to handle it with great efficiency. After about 30 minutes, not only did they have my bike's wheel trued and chain replaced, they also made some minor tune-up, such as adjusting the brakes and checking the gears. All for the total of $35 ONLY!!! I couldn't believe it when I heard the price. I was charged twice as much at the other local bike shop, and they didn't even change anything! Now my used bike rides like new. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I will definitely return for their service and send my friends there.

Angry is an understatement when I realized it had to take my bike back to them mind you I live across town, not their problem but a huge inconvenience just for them to tell me I didn't have that adjustable part??????????????? As if I don't know the features on my own bike that I've owned for over 20 years The adjustable part is ALLLLL BLACK to match the bike. We thought going to Wheelhouse to rent a bike or get the tire repaired seemed like a good idea. We showed up just as they were opening at 11am. The employees pull out the rental bikes and lock them up as part of their opening routine. My friend and I were waiting off to the side when the employee came over and said we were in their spot for their bikes. Ok, so we moved to a different location, she came over and said you're still in our spot. Ok, we moved further away, only to have her come over and tell us to move again. I get they have spots to put the bikes, but after the 2nd time, couldn't she have just pointed out a place for us to wait instead of telling us to move yet again? It was pretty irritating. So they open at 11, but apparently they cannot help you until they've pulled out all their inventory and locked it up outside the shop. We asked about a rental and she just kept saying - I'm busy - I can't help you until I'm done here. We asked well how long are you going to be? She didn't know, but just kept saying I'll get to you when I'm done. We said - well what about getting the tire fixed - how long do you think that might take? Same answer. Don't bug me, I'm busy pulling all the bikes out, and I don't know. Wow. What a crazy process. You show up when they open - but then stand around for 25 minutes while they prep the shop. Maybe do that before your opening time so you can actually HELP a customer when they show up at opening time. Finally, they were done and my friend asked about renting a bike and they showed her the options. She picked one and they got her set up. She was irritated because she's a seasoned biker and they treated her like an idiot. Again, some basic communication with her would have let them know she knew how to bike and that would have helped with set up. Finally, they agreed to fix her flat while we were gone. When we returned her flat was fixed, we returned the rental and were on our way. We were all really frustrated at the poor customer service and kept laughing about how poorly they handled the situation and the long wait just to get waited on. I would not recommend getting even a simple bike fit here due to safety concerns…read more I paid $100 for a bike fit and trusted the technician to properly adjust my bike. During the fit, my saddle height was changed and the seatpost clamp was tightened using only a hex tool. My carbon seatpost clearly states a maximum torque of 5 Nm, but no torque wrench was used. I assumed everything had been done correctly and didn't think to double-check their work. Shortly after leaving, I was riding at about 20 mph and hit a very small bump in the road. My seatpost suddenly dropped under my weight, which completely threw me off balance and caused me to crash into the nearby grass. This could have easily resulted in a serious crash. Because the seatpost slipped, the carbon seatpost was also scraped when it slid down into the frame under my weight, which is concerning for a carbon component. To make matters worse, after spending $100 on the fit, I left without any documentation of the final measurements or where my saddle height and positions were set. I essentially walked away without knowing what my final setup was supposed to be. Overall, the experience was very disappointing. I trusted the shop to properly adjust my bike and ensure it was safe to ride. Instead, I left with a slipping seatpost, damage to my carbon seatpost, and no record of the fit measurements. For something as important as bike setup and rider safety, I expected much better.
