I'm extremely finicky over my length and always make a point to stress this. The stylist cut my mid-back length hair to my shoulders. I cried looking in the mirror most days for a good year, and I'm not exaggerating. Anyway...this place is incredible. Steve actually LISTENS and Carla is a talented and honest colorist. My hair was obviously in a state at this point where I needed to lose 5-6 inches of split ends and I was still happy when I left. Steve cut it in a way that would normally be uncomfortably short for me, but it still flattered my oval face. Been a regular for about two years now and he still starts small unless I tell him to cut more. Really refreshing coming from all these hairdressers that think "just take 1 inch" means they can get away with taking 4 and I won't notice. Two additional pluses: -Very reasonable pricing. If you are paying $100+ for a haircut you're being scammed. They're honest enough to keep their prices low so tip accordingly. -Resident chunky orange cat If they ever close or retire I will 100% go back to having scary uncut witch hair.

I booked late April for highlights, and they came out over-processed. I decided to give it another try, and as a business professional, I like to support up-and-coming businesses, in particular, women run businesses. Again, another mess up, and with an attitude this time. Booked partial highlights and a trim. Instead of Balayage (safer and healthier for my hair since it's fine/slightly dry), she put on foils, which turned the hair into a frizz ball. The cut: I wear a signature side-swept bang that loops around. She cut the hair, blow-dried it (it looked fine), and then went back and cut a piece off the bottom bang, and then back again and cut off another piece off the bottom, which threw off the entire bang look, and now they are not blended and flat. I walked out of there with a baseball cap on, and 4 days later, it's still on. This is unacceptable and outrageous at these prices. For $ 400, your hair should look spectacular, and you should be 100% satisfied.

Just 2 doors down from our favorite Chinese takeout joint on Main Street in Tarrytown. Just a terrific experience in trying g times. I ended up with my hair being cut about 4 inches and my bangs were butchered and cut so short they don't even lay flat or fit on brush. I think she knew what she did because she said she didn't have time to blow dry my hair because she had another appt coming. My hair is naturally curly and I let her know I wear it curly and flat ironed straight... I said I didn't want a lot cut and I lost about 4 inches in length. Beware she doesn't cut in one straight cut... she's a trimmer . She continually keeps going back in trimming. So when you look on floor the bits are so small you don't realize how much is gone. Until it's to late.... I DO NOT RECOMMEND.. IM POSTING PICS SO YOU CAN SEE HOW IT GOT BUTCHERED. These pics are ABOUT TWO WEEKS AFTER CUT. I was too angry once I got home and dried it.
