My mom the client is a bit picky w/ caretakers so it's hard for Freda but she does her best to keep all 7 days of the week covered. I talked to my mom and our favorite caretakers are Stacey, Cynthia, and Lisa. Stacey and Cynthia mainly work during the week to keep coverage from what I can see. I hear them speak to my mom when I'm in the hallway and they're very nice and sweet. I'll be honest it's nice to hear my mom have small talk with people other than my brother and I. I believe these two Stacey and Cynthia are the only ones currently giving her a bed bath. If we didn't have them during the week we'd be in bad shape. They've also helped w/ my mom when a physical therapist is here w/ the hoyer to lift her up to do things so they are trained. Lisa, mainly comes in on the weekends unless she has time to fill in during the week. She's a very sweet lady whose very nice and appreciative of whatever we do for her. She's communicative and gives her advice on my mom's care. Again, we've been using this agency for over 1.5 years and I see no reason why we wouldn't keep using them. Give them a try especially if you're in the Yorba Linda area since they're located here.

I was thrust into a situation I thought I was unprepared for. I visited several care facilities and found this one that turned out to be a one minute drive from me. I realized I was more prepared than I thought. After more than a year, he entered hospice and this was home for one more year. Spacious, bright and popping with life, this 6 person max home nestled in the corner of a hill is the last place I would think of as "popping with life." But, it is. Being so close to me, I routinely did my own popping. I popped up unexpectedly regularly to visit my dad. Always and I mean Always he was busy with eating, haircuts, activities, socializing with the providers and tenants and relaxing in the yard. He had his own room and bathroom. He was taken care of like a prince. The kids would ride their bikes over to visit. They were always welcome and never missed a party. The owners, Lucy and her Husband, and the caregivers fill this home with love, care and life. He was happy and comfortable here. My dad called this his new home. We called it "Opa's" house. I never had a worry about his care. He was happy. The home was a true blessing. I miss my dad. I am glad we found such a warm home. A month has passed. Writing helps me cope. I find it extremely difficult even after a month. My best friend is gone. Staring at all the pictures, I realize this really was his new and final home filled with life, love and care. I miss my best friend.

Came over and she wanted me to join her to participate in the yoga class. It was so cute to see the room full of folks ready to start yoga. I discovered their beauty salon room and a computer lab at the lobby to play games. Finally found the laundry room in the 3rd floor but for some reason as soon as you get out of the elevator. It smell like dirty diapers! No Bueno! Somebody needs to fix that! It is okay to be poor but when you are stinky or dirty that needs to be corrected. The other floors did not have a foul odor in fact they smelled pretty good. I felt the door to the laundry room was really a heavy door. Other wise all washers and dryers worked well. My spirit mom actual studio had a lot to offer but no real kitchen. No stove! she has a frig and a sink but that is about it. Her bathroom shower had a phone in case she needs help. She was telling me that her senior living rent is really pricey but the staff seemed enthusiastic and attentive to her needs. So that made me feel better for her. She is not to hip on the menu as the food is not organic but my girlfriend is very particular with her well being especially her food. Easy parking and lots of room to roll around in the halls in the event you need (a) wheel(s) (chair) to get around. I also found that in the elevator they post daily activities schedule for the residents to have interaction and fun social events.

Both expressed sincere apologies for the missed appointment and explained it was due to simple clerical error. I wish I could give those folks five stars on here, and a hug! By and large, this is an excellent group of caring folks doing a very difficult job. You can count on these folks to help you out in times of need!
