I stressed to him that I need my Outlook transferred to the new computer. He said no problem at all. Only after he wiped my old computer did he say he wasn't that good with Outlook and he wasn't able to transfer it. I spent 2 hours watching him try. What he did install was not compatible and did not work with the new computer but he refused to accept responsibility and blamed it on me. He was dishonest on several occasions just to save face. I'll take my business elsewhere.

I've called and left 5 voicemails during that time, none were ever returned. I've made 7 calls during business hours and 3 were actually picked up. I tried to come pick up my PlayStation yesterday because service was taking too long and they closed 20 min early and no one was there. Never actually complained until this point. Finally I called to complain and the guy argued with me extensively about how it was all my fault because I leave voicemails after hours and how I took a few days to come pick up my stuff. Honestly, Computer Re-Nu, I live 25 min away from you, I picked you because of good online reviews, you gave poor service and all I wanted was my stuff back, but now you've caused me more grief than it's worth and you can keep it. Everyone else: Go to GameStop for your video game system or pick another computer repair company if you want someone with better communication and customer service skills.

The same day, I requested a return and sent the item in the original packaging with the new tracking label affixed. USPS tracking says the package arrived at the receiving post office on Oct 9, only to see the post office was unable to deliver the package on Oct 10 becuase the business was closed. It's now been 11 days since my return arrived at their local post office without being delivered. I assumed maybe there was an issue with USPS so I filed a 'Missing Mail' request yesterday. This morning I received a call from a very polite Postmaster in Chattanooga who informed me they have tried delivering my package every day since it arrived there but the business is never open! I was told it's "open maybe 5% of the time we try to deliver mail" and that the post office "has a whole bin of packages for them" but that "nobody is ever at the location." After hearing from the Postmaster I tried to call the location using the number posted on their website - only to have it ring out to "Sorry. The mailbox is full and there is not enough space to leave a message. Thank you for using the voice messaging server. Goodbye." I've been forced to open a case with eBay to try and get my refund since the business address is never open to receive their mail.

The guy offered a free diagnostic, then charged $80 to wipe my hard drive and reinstall windows. He was upfront saying that it may not fix the issues. I only have myself to blame I guess. He's an amateur PC repair guy. Wiping a hard drive is NOT standard procedure or the first thing they should do. I don't understand all the 5 star reviews now that I've been there. Don't be fooled. Google 'computer repair in Chattanooga' and go with the place that has 94+ 5 star reviews. He might be far to drive but he is the best and only charged me $50 to diagnose and repair my computer - and he ACTUALLY repaired it. EDIT: In response to Aspire's reply. I only have myself to blame. As I said, you are correct that you were upfront with me with what you would do and that it may not fix it. And yes, you were fair and nice to offer to install a new hard drive no charging for the service. Let me explain (1) "not cheapest around" - I just got my computer FULLY fixed (new hard drive installed, new fan installed, stress test program run on PC to test, new Windows installed) for $75. This local PC repair did more work than you for less money. (2) "not professional, and not the best" - While you were respectful and polite, the clutter of your store does not inspire confidence, I had to come back to get small parts from my PC you left out or replaced with sub-par parts. I just did business with a PC repairman that kept me fully updated with pics, advice, and more to ensure I could trust him and understand what he was doing before I paid him. I got more necessary work done on my PC, by someone who went above and beyond to figure out what was wrong (not just wipe the hardrive...which it didn't need), for LESS money.

There's something reassuringly tangible in actually holding something, and undergoing the viewing/listening ritual. Anyway, this location is in the same store area as the Target in Hixson, so there's the same difficulity in actually 'seeing' the store if you're proceeding on Hwy 153. Just look for the TARGET logo on the entrance sign - - easy to see. They have the same 'meet or beat' option on pricing of like items, which these days is rather a standard. I must compliment the staff on their patience while I decided upon a sound system for my TV. Not only did they hook up several systems for me, they insisted that I play several tracks of MY soundtrack material on each, just so I'd have something to compare while making a decision. This was unexpected, and very welcome. All in all, beats driving across th river and dealing with Gunbarrel Road if all you need is a electronic do-dad or two.

A delivery date was setup for two weeks after purchase date. Date came and no delivery. No TV in stock. So after complaining with a telephone supervisor in the Customer Support division, I changed the purchase to a 65" Bravia 9 because I was told by the Customer Support national phone supervisor person that a 65" was in stock. Nope. Took another 3 weeks before they could deliver. Yesterday the sound bar died. Called Best Buy and they want to charge me $129 (starting rate) to service the sound bar even though I bought a protection plan. The sales folks sold the plan as if I have 100% coverage from day one of the purchase for two years. Come to find out, it only kicks in AFTER the manufactures one year warranty. So what did I pay for then? The entire purchase has been nothing but lies and deceptive sales practices. This is the last thing that I will EVER purchase from Best Buy. Buyer beware, advise one to take their hard earned money and go to a different electronic entertainment sales store for such purchases.
