I found them online through a job posting. To be honest, i think finding them ended up being a voodoo curse put on me. I've used their services for years cause clearly i'll never learn my lesson. I've had nothing but bad experiences with them. Whenever i am looking for a job, i am asked to come in, fill out a job application and meet with their headhunters. But i've used their services multiple times. Why is my info not saved in your database? The odd part is, i keep getting asked to come and interview with the same headhunter over and over again. You've met me already. How many times do you need to look at me to perform invisible biased? This means judging me by my looks, height, weight, ethnicity, and whether i am perky enough to send out, etc. It goes on and on. Here is the thing, if they want to collect resumes to sell them to third parties for $$ (allegedly) they should say so. Its so pathetic, unproductive, and just an insult to constantly waste my time and yours to provide false hope. This place is so packed and busy because they are so skilled at creating this illusion they are in high demand with tons of jobs, as if they are placing jobs for everyone in all of NYC and some parts of NJ. That couldn't be the furthest thing from the truth. They are actors getting a paycheck to appear as busy bodies. Sign me up. I wanna get a paycheck and do nothing all day. The last time i was in here, i let the headhunter have it. I called him out on his BS. I told him: Do you seriously want to get me a job or just waste my time? Do you want commission $$ or not? All you do is collect resumes. I've used your services so many times and its been nothing but a dead end. You don't think its odd the last 4 times i used you, i ended up getting a job all on my own? He gagged in silence and just couldn't take my brutal honesty. I wonder how he pays his rent because he surely is not helping anyone in the 5 boros land a job. To close things off, i ended up finding a job all on my own the last 5 times that i was in the market. That is 5 times they missed out on their commission $$ (thousands of dollars). Here is the thing, i am your secondary client. The firm you are recruiting for is your primary client. I get that. But when i send an email asking for a status update, i expect a response. Typing: NO UPDATE is easy. No one is asking for their first born child or a blood sample. I drop to drop everything for them, but they can't type a 5 second email to provide a status update? Really?!? Every time i ask if they are working on any new jobs, i get dead air. This firm really has a pair of elephant sized balls. How they don't bleed when he walks is beyond me. This is honestly, the only worthwhile staffing agency I've been to. Prior to ICS, I had gone to 2 other agencies where they basically took my resume and never heard from again. Although I have yet to find a job, the recruiter I'm working with is definitely a gem to work with. She's always calling and emailing to find out how my job search is going and to give me details on new job openings. She has already gotten me 2 interviews. These staffing agencies all follow the same script and it's so obvious. They "find" your resume online, call you, request that you meet with them and during the meeting will compliment you on your background, pretend they are interested and close the meeting with the usual..."I'll email you jobs I think you may be interested in and if so, let me know", blah blah. And you follow up with a thank you for the interview (no response) and you email again to say you are following up since meeting and you're still interested (no response) and a phone call and after receptionist ask who is calling, places you on a brief hold only to return to say..."He's not available" and transfers you to voicemail and of course no return call. And that's the Employment Agency Script that is followed to the letter for applicants that the recruiters upon meeting with face to face - decided aren't good enough, whether it be your Race, Age, Gender or Weight, they are practicing discrimination. read more

Good supportive agency. They deliver what they promise, and are responsive before, during and after you have been placed with a client!

I did not like how they treated me when I sat down in the chairs next to the windows. They did give me a cold water bottle though. I felt like that they only wanted to speak to me to see if i was a good BA, not if I was a good candidate. They are only in it for the money, and I saw an older gentleman scream at another gentleman on with glasses on as if they were in boys locker room.
