Recently, I dropped my membership. You might ask, WHY? The pool and hot tub closed for weeks due to poor water management. Machines were shut down because they required repair and were not fixed in a timely manner. The eight showers were never all working at the same time and the air conditioning broke during the summer. These are the major reasons I gave up my membership but I could get picky and list more. Since I have joined Planet Fitness, their machines are all functioning. Most machines are relatively new. Patrons disinfect the apparatus after use which shocked me. The members are very respectful of others. The members for the most part do not sit on the machines with their Iphones. If you are not using the machine get off it. The gym is cleaned on a regular basis with numerous garbage cans throughout. You won't find litter on the floor. This gym is worlds apart from my LA Fitness experience. Thank God some people know how to run a gym.

If you're a black card holder seeking amenities, you WILL be disappointed! Do yourself a big favor and keep it moving to Cedar Knolls or Elmwood park. This place is trash. Some of the employees are great, while others are complete scum bags. Genuinely over this place.

His other instructor, Kate, has classes that are similar but mix is different: more aerobic and with strength mixed in. What I like is coed group classes are scheduled daily, last 1 hour, and always intense. Sometimes I learn new muscle groups I didn't know I had :) Each day's routine barely repeats from a prior day so never boring. The workout begins with a warmup followed by about 8 exercise routines. Repeat those exercises as many times as you can in 1 hour. Target is about three cycles. I generally complete 1 1/2 - 2 sets. Joe' routines emphasize modest weights with repetition, stretch, balance, and good technique. He spots when a particular exercise is unsuitable for me, and suggests something else without losing the pace of the workout. I value the personal attention in a group setting that keeps cost down. Clientele is mostly female, older Generation Z and Millennials of all ages. Male and female, every age, and all degrees of fitness are welcome. Clientele is generally serious about being there. Gym is clean. And classes start and end on time. You don't make an appointment to be in a class. I recommend Joe and JD Core Training.

The place was vibrant and staff were so friendly! This new owner has made this gym a nightmare. She is extremely rude, arrogant and only cares about making money and steeling it from people, even in the midst of the damn International PANDEMIC!!! When I signed up she had all these random fees that were completely unnecessary like maintenance fees, and when questioned about anything her answer is "I'm running a business here!" Owner knows nothing about fitness and has the audacity to try to criticize your workout routine in the most rude way, completely unprofessional! The showers are filthy and broken, the sauna and hot tub have been broken for years. They never answer emails. And when I tried to cancel my membership because I do not feel it is safe going to the gym to workout in a mask the owner says to me "Oh well that's no excuse people don't stop going to the gym during flu season" ??? I still have yet to receive a refund for personal training that I paid for an never started because of COVID! Such a waste of an amazing gym for women only! DO NOT SIGN UP you will be trapped!

I even have an email that states "effective 5/6/19 no further payments will be charged." This is insane. I got the 12 month membership that actually is a 13 month membership and requires 30 day notice of cancellation (of course, that was not mentioned when I signed up.) Apparently gym is under new management, not sure they are doing a great job.

I never loved the idea of someone hovering over me one-on-one while I struggled to lift 50 pounds over my head. That's exactly why Rebel's semi-private training model has worked so well for me. Typically, there's one trainer working with about 3-5 people, which creates the perfect balance of guidance, independence, and motivation. Some days it even turns into a one-on-one session depending on attendance -- but even then, it never feels like the awkward, overly intense private training I've experienced elsewhere. If you want constant hovering, Rebel may not be your thing (though they do offer private sessions). But if you're skeptical of gyms or trainers and want a smart, supportive middle ground, this place is incredible. What really keeps me coming back is how every single session is different. I've been training here for over a year and I've never repeated the same workout. The creativity and thought behind the programming is impressive and keeps me motivated to stay consistent and continue building strength. Kevin has been phenomenal. He somehow knows exactly what my body needs -- it's almost telepathic. Whether it's addressing weaknesses, building strength, or adapting to how I'm feeling that day, he's always spot-on. Recently, I pulled my back doing something as simple as bending over to put something in my daughter's backpack, and I knew a Rebel session would help loosen things up and get me back on track (and prevent that dreaded "about to sneeze" back pain ). I also really appreciate how respectful they are of time. I can say, "Kevin, I've only got 40 minutes," and he'll say, "Perfect -- let's go," get me out in 30, and I feel just as good as I would after an hour session. That flexibility is huge. Thank you, Rebel, for keeping me motivated, strong, and consistent -- even with an erratic schedule. You're truly amazing.

I'd join, go for a month or so, and then quit. I am happy to say not have I only been going here for over two years, but I've actually become a regular; going four, or even 5 times a week. If you're looking for a new gym, look no further. The rebel family will change your life, it sure did mine!

Hope has done nothing but ensure that my priorities are met and always takes the time to hear me out and make me feel a lot better! As for their customer service, I always go to Chris for an issue, one of the operations manager of the gym.
