I'm not exactly sure why this business gets such good reviews. I scheduled an appointment to get a quote for an AC install and Shane was 30 minutes plus late without a call. When he arrived, he was there maybe 10 minutes, told me he would send a quote, and 3 days later, I'm still waiting. Compared to his competitors, this business isn't even in the same league. Every other business that came to give a free quote talked me through options, evaluated my furnace, electrical, then did a load calculation to get an idea of exactly what I need. It's quite possible this business does good work, but sales and understanding the customer needs is not a strong suit. read more

I fully expected to make a future appointment, yet they made the trip that day and showed up exactly when they said they would. Within an hour, my freezer was back up and running. After almost two years of dealing with dry skin, being "shocked" when I touch anything in my house, my furniture cracking and other dry air related maladies I decided to look into a all house humidifier . Did some research on makes and models, then made a few calls. First of all, the contractors I called all seemed to use the same Honeywell products. And the choices were a by-pass humidifier or a powered humidifier. The former being a passive type unit, the latter being able to provide a higher level of humidity. The former requiring a duct from the unit to the ventilation system, the latter being attached directly to the furnace. Both units were about the same in price when purchased from various sites, about $260. I also looked into a new thermostat and found a Honeywell IAQ that allows the % of humidity to be controlled from the main unit, about $170. I then talked to various contractors, all of them seemed to say that the installation would take about 3 hours, and all of them seemed to make a pretty good profit on the total bill, so no matter who I chose, it was going to cost me a few bucks. I went with Infinity Heating & Cooling after talking to the owner Shane Diltz. He arrive 30 minutes early on Monday and went right to work. He even had to do some modification to my furnace to install the humidifier. He also did not mind my asking questions as he worked. He got it all hooked up, it looks great and is whirring away upping the humidity in my house. Going to take awhile to get in the 35-40% range but I will be happy when it gets there. He was clearly extremely experienced, informative, friendly, respectful of Covid precautions, and completely honest. Shane gave my husband a proposal to install a new Laars Boiler System for our hot water heating. He installed the boiler but did not follow the venting requirements as stipulated in the installation manual. In addition he did not pull a permit as required by Arapahoe County. He completed his work 9-5-2019. The following November we began operating our heating. In late November I noticed a "bubble appearance"in the ceiling of the piano room. We discovered wet insulation in the attic which proved to be coming from the the boiler vent pipe. We called in an HVAC specialist who found the the vent pipes which carry hot air up through the house and out the flue in the roof had not been replaced with vent pipe required for the type of Laars boiler he had installed. In addition the temperature sensor required to be installed on the exterior of the house was left hanging on the side of the boiler. It took two days to remove the improper venting and install the required venting. Because of the incomplete installation of the Laars Boiler system, in the following seven months we suffered through and paid for: removal of wet insulation employment of industrial hygienist for mold testing removal of all furniture from the piano room transport and storage of Grand piano removal and replacement of two sections of the piano room ceiling Our expenses exceeded $10,000 read more

We have a huge 50-gal Polaris water heater/boiler combination. It's highly unusual to have this unit in a residential home, so most companies I called had no idea what to do with it. Shane was recommended by another H&C guy and I only wish I had found him three years ago when we moved into this house! Shane completed all the work requested and was very professional, friendly, and informative. We just had our carpets cleaned and he was even cool about wearing little plastic covers on his shoes while in the house. Our furnace went down on Thanksgiving afternoon. Called a number of repair shops the next morning, all of whom essentially blew me off. Called Shane and he fit me in for 1:30 Friday. I'm embarrassed it's taken me this long to review Shane at Infinity. We moved into an older neglected home in Arvada about 1.5 years ago and we have had a laundry list of issues. The home has a boiler which in itself is hard to find someone who knows how to repair. Our home also has an evaporative cooler. Both Shane has worked on. Before finding Infinity we went through many other repair services. One time we were without heat and we went through two other companies claiming they fixed it before we found Infinity. We moved from a home with AC to the evaporative cooler and Shane was patient our first summer as we worked hard to make repairs, replace parts to get it working efficiently. He's been out to our home at least a handful of times. So much so that this last time I called, he knew where I lived based upon a house description alone. Like I said, we moved into a neglected older home. If any of you are looking for your go to company for heating and cooling I would encourage you to give Shane a try. We scheduled a service for our furnace and a flush for our water heater. I called Shane on Friday and he made an appointment for Monday. Unfortunately he forgot about the appointment on Monday and I called him to ask what happened. He was very apologetic and scheduled me for Wednesday. It happens. When he did come, he did a great job. He knew we were getting ready to sell our house so gave us some tips about the inspection and what we may want to add. He was very friendly and professional. We'll be using them again. read more

I'm enjoying A/C as I write. I compared 3 A/C providers (including "a friend in the business"). All of them came to the house and walked me through the installation process. All expressed the need to bring in a separate electrician. The first two (or their electrician) tried to convince me that I needed parts or services that I was pretty sure I didn't. The third, Shane/Infinity, had the knowledge to work with my existing furnace and electrical. Prior to installation, as questions came up, Shane was responsive to email. Throughout installation, he was professional, friendly, dog-friendly, honest, and respectful of my home. As fate would have it (and Murphy striking), the blower on our central heating/cooling began grinding to a slow stop in the middle of A/C season. After calling around to several folks, most were quoting me 5-7 days out to get a service person to our home (one thing that annoys me on these yelp services is 'will get back to you within 30 mins' claims - it's an auto response email, that asks you for contact information; not a person calling you!). I decided to also call Shane who was able to schedule us in just a couple of hours later. He was prompt, took approx an hour to service (replace the blower) and we were back up and running. Not having done business with him before, I was a bit perplexed why I didn't receive an invoice on the spot, but he assured me it would arrive via email. It did, but it took a week. Shane and his team really are the best of the best in Colorado!! When our A/C unit went out early this summer, we were shocked to get quotes of over 10K to replace just the A/C unit. We received Shane's business card from a neighbor and gave him a call. Just got off the phone with Shane. Super nice guy. I was calling him to schedule an inspection of the HVAC system of a house we're buying because I was concerned about the size of the furnace relative to the size of the house. He patiently explained to me that given the square footage and the age of the unit, I didn't have to worry about it. So he saved me a unnecessary service cost - I suspect a lot of guys would have just booked the appointment and taken my money. I am so disappointed with this company. Shane is completely unprofessional and lacks any guarantee for his work. I recently purchased a townhouse and had furnace issues before the closing date. As per our contract, the seller was to hire a heating company to have it cleaned and in working order. We received the work order and a description of the work from this company. Shane was listed as the person who did the work. After moving in, the furnace stopped working after 3 days of being there. We went down to the furnace, thinking it might just be that the pilot went out. The furnace had a make shift wire stuck in it to stop it from making noise and the pilot would not light. I called this company first thing the next day, thinking that he would just come out and take a second look at his work. He literally laughed at me when I suggested that he come out. He thought that it was completely reasonable that a furnace that he worked on would stop working shortly after he worked on it. He refused to come out to fix his oversight. When confronted with the fact that his report stated that there were no visual problems with the furnace (and that in fact there was a strange piece of metal stuck in it to stop it from making noise), he said he must of neglected to notice it. Yet he still refused to come out to fix it! Please save your money! He does not guarantee is work! We have contacted the Better Business Bureau and they are beginning an investigation. I'm sure he'll be out of business in no time! read more
