I hired the Beauty Lounge for my bridal hair and makeup (and to do my bridesmaids' hair). I'm so glad I did. I'll say at the outset that when I took a closer look at their Yelp reviews soon after hiring them, I was a little freaked out to find that some of the reviews were by people affiliated with the salon. But my fears were totally allayed when I worked with Jill, who did my hair, and Cassie, who did my makeup (and mani-pedi the day before the wedding). I had my trial run about a month before the wedding, and they were both a pleasure to work with. The day of the wedding, I voiced some concerns to Jill that my hair at the trial wasn't exactly what I wanted, and showed her a new photo, and my hair ended up looking BEAUTIFUL -- she did a fantastic job, and I couldn't have been happier. I know my bridesmaids were also really pleased with how their hair turned out. Cassie is an excellent makeup artist who really got into talking about different directions we could take with styles and colors, and I was so completely thrilled with how I looked for my wedding day. I got many compliments on the lipstick she used. They were responsive and professional throughout the entire process, and I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone. read more

I ALWAYS go to the beauty lounge for a hot new look and a complimentary self esteem boost! I have always been comfortable walking in and love that my awesome hairstylist will give me all the time I need and listen to the type of cut/color I want. Then she gives me her professional opinion, which I trust and respect and it makes all the difference in the world! I wish i could post a picture of my recent haircolor and highlights, she is truly gifted with the talent to mix complimentary colors to bring out your personality, cover your greys and make you feel ten years younger. I have always left with a huge smile on my face and am amazed I make it home without getting into a car accident because I can't stop looking at myself in the rear view mirror! I recommend the owner to everyone from my ultra conservative mom to my funkiest friend. She is so warm and genuinely caring and it shows. The salon is huge and feels like your in a trendy, New York lounge but without the outrageous cost. Her prices are ultra reasonable and she even offers a discount if you refer a friend! I hired Jill and her colleague from The Beauty Lounge to do hair for myself and my 7 bridesmaids for my August wedding. Everything came out GREAT! The hairdressers came to our hotel in Nashua which was convenient for us. Each bridesmaid had brought in photos of what they were looking for with their individual hair, and everyone's style came out exactly what they wanted. The Beauty Lounge girls got everyone's hair done in perfect time, and everything looked great. And my hair (which never lasts longer than an hour when professionally done) lasted the entire night! 12 hours, and none of the curls came out. I love the Beauty Lounge! The salon looks like something you'd expect to see maybe in NY or out on the West Coast- a fun, colorful, cool environment. Carole is a great stylist on so many levels. First off- she's the warmest person you'll ever meet and that's a really rare and great quality. She cares about the people that come to see her. and she cares about the product she delivers. She is always educating herself and staying on top of latest techniques. She always talks with me to find out exactly what I want, and she's got her craft down to a science. Carole cuts my hair and Cassie gives me facials. They are both GREAT! I am Asian and I had not had a regular hair stylist in the States before Carole, and I have lived in the States for 15 years. My skins looks the best in years thanks to Cassie's great facials. I loved her service so much I bought a facial for my friend for Christmas. She just had the facial today and was blown away by the massage Cassie gave her. She just had a baby and had been tired all the time. Lifesavers!!! I got a horrible cut at another "salon." I was so upset I couldn't even go home before it got fixed. Nicole fit me in that afternoon and my hair went from horrendous to presentable. She couldn't totally fix it because a chunk was hacked out of one side, and I didn't want to cut it to my ear length to fix it. But I will go back a couple times the next few month until they can fix it. Moral of the story, even if you are just getting your split ends trimmed, pay the extra money to go to an actual salon, not a fastcut type place. read more

I've been getting my hair done here since it opened and it's always such a wonderful experience - I've gotten everything from foils to feathers to ombre' by Carole and I'm floored with the results every time. I'm always referring people here, and to the Bumble & Bumble line they carry (it's great!). The location is super convenient and the salon is always stunningly stylish, clean, and everyone is so friendly. I have gotten my hair cut here for 3 years and its amazing! Their stylists are so nice and know what they are doing, I have never gotten a bad cut from them. I went to another salon and had to come back to the beauty lounge the next week to have them fix it. They are really miracle workers! I also get my eyebrows waxed here and they do a great job, they shape them and also give you aloe afterwards so your eyebrows doesn't sting.
