Leavenworth is full of these curious corners that call out for exploration. We find a very pleasant gentleman offering greetings and samples of any product along with a bounty of information on the products. Vinegar is a product I'm not particularly fond of, but this particular high quality balsamic really turned me around. In a very clean environment, the shopkeeper draws a sample of any product into a small paper cup and gives us another cup with toothpicks and crouton sized cuts of bread. The first one we tried was an apricot balsamic and the flavor was very mellow. The apricot was not really strong and had a smooth flavor. The balsamic started mildly and ended with a pleasant fruit taste. Then we tried the pear balsamic and it was the opposite. The pear balsamic was a fairly thick liquid. It started with an 'almost pear schnapps' but smoothed immediately to a very strong pear flavor that finished with a pop of balsamic at the end. This shop is definitely for the vinegar connoisseur. We left with 4 bottles, one apricot and four pear, this stuff is good!

Well we went in to ask if would be opening up since the lights were on. The owner greeted us and said oh the girl just went home sick but I have time I can open the store for you. As we waiting for her, she was so gracious to the guest she was assisting and her other staff as she explained the situation and excused herself. So our sweet girls got to on their annual shopping spree at their favorite store in Leavenworth thanks to her. I can't remember her name but she was so friendly and loved helping the girls pick things out and show them all the toys and accessories in the shop. We have gone to both shops for the last 5 years on our annual trip to Leavenworth and every time the experience is exceptional. The store has an amazing variety of items, ranging from nostalgic candies from childhood to locally made popcorn, pancake mixes, hot sauces, magnets, and so much more. There's truly something for everyone. We ended up spending a good 30-45 minutes exploring because there was just so much to see. A Keurig coffee maker and pods are provided making it perfect to enjoy a morning cup of coffee on the front porch watching the sunrise through the trees. If wanting to venture out, the town of Leavenworth is only about a 25 minute drive taking you along the Wenatchee River.
