We cannot emphasize enough how much we love visiting Ingalls blubbery farm. A wonderful place to spend time with family or even alone. the farm also has a great view overlooking the local town. . The hosts are very sweet and welcoming, and of course the blueberries are delicious.

The trees are low enough not to require ladders so they're kid friendly (and for those of us who are fun-sized). The orchard offered a beautiful view of the hills in the background covered in fall trees when I went in early October. There was also a little pumpkin patch that was perfect for pictures! Many people visit Fly Creek Cider Mill and Orchard but you don't get the same experience since you don't get to pick the apples right off the trees. However, we did visit Fly Creek (which is a fun experience too!) the next day and I thought that the apple cider doughnuts from here were much better - they were softer and denser! I also compared it to some doughnuts that my cousin bought from another orchard in PA and Middlefield's still comes up on top! I definitely recommend here for your traditional fall apple-picking/apple cider doughnut-eating/pumpkin-picking experience! There weren't much people when we went so there were many opportunities for uninterrupted photos as well!

Then they also have raspberries, blue berries, grapes, corns that you can also pick. Or they also have it available at the store. And jams, more veggies.. Oh, and don't forget the cider donuts & smores cookies for a buck each. The only mistake I made is I only bought one bag of donuts. It's sooo good. And the staffs are friendly. Price so affordable .We drove an hour and half from where we were staying & it's so worth it. Definitely visit it when around the area. It really made mine & our kids trip so worth it.

Upon arrival each person pays a $10 cover charge that you receive a ticket for use in the country store in the amount of $10, so technically you get your money back as long as you buy something. Honestly the visiting experience was only okay, I am not sure I'd go back or recommend it BUT this is tempered by the fact that I did buy the biggest, prettiest mum and I may go back again for another one next year. I definitely have the nicest mum in all of Jersey City. I think it was around $20 for my huge mum and I was going to buy some apple cider donuts, but when I saw they were charging $18 for 12 donuts I put the package back on the shelf.

Honestly best apple cider donuts I've ever had + freshly baked , not stale at all and very soft and fluffy (but you have to buy it in a dozen, you can't buy individual) Lots of apples to choose from ~5-8 kinds from evercrisp to snapdragon to gold rush. Gold rush & pink lady were my favorite. Atmosphere: Loved for fall! There's was live music, plenty of apples and pumpkins to pick from, plenty of benches and seating indoors and outdoors for eating, and areas for children to play Dogs allowed! Service: friendly everywhere!! Price: cheap for entry, food is $$. You have to pay a $10 fee but it goes towards anything you buy. For apple cider & cider donuts I would say worth the price. Apple picking is charged by the pound

As I was held at check-out inside the building, an unnamed woman with no identification confronted me in an accusatory manner demanding to know what else we had picked. I told her everything we picked was on the counter. She asked what was in my car. I told her my patient, his rollator, and his mobility scooter. Not much else fits in a little KIA. She left me inside the building at the register and went out to my car. With no explanation to my startled patient, she began rooting through my car. He was alone and felt defenseless in a frightening situation. I don't know if I'll ever be able to get him to leave his house again for an outing like this. He is traumatized. Columbia County NY has many PYO options that are more friendly and less terrifying than this horrible place.

After filling a bag we ran into John as he was picking some Crab Apples. A half hour later and we had discussed everything from the chemical reaction that makes some apples sweeter than others, to his families history and what brought them to the area, to why planting a seed that you got from an apples, isn't necessarily going to produce an apples tree that produces apples that taste like the apple it came from (mind blown!). My son really fed off of John's excitement which was awesome to see. What if you don't run into John? You've still ended up at the best orchard within a 100 miles. I've been apple picking in the Hudson Valley for over 20 years. You see the same 4-5 variations of apples. However, once you see all of the variations that Wightman has, you'll feel cheated by the limited options at other orchards.

Choose a size bag (small or large) to apple pick, and have a day! This property is so beautiful and peaceful to walk through. They also sell freshly picked grapes, house made apple cider donuts (mini!), bottled apple cider, and apple chips. You are lucky if you get a chance to talk with John or Zachary Wightman-- they are pomologists filled with apple picking knowledge! There really is so much science behind it all, which was fascinating to learn. Thank you to the Wightman family for opening this farm to the public for picking, we had a blast! CC

When we arrived, on June 17, 2026, prime season for strawberries and snap peas, we were greated by a friendly young woman named Erin, who operated the admission booth. She provided us with two small containers for the snap peas and two larger for the strawberries and explained that we can pick whatever we want, and only pay for what we harvest. We acquired some beautifully fresh snap peas and freshly sweet strawberries. We visited the store, which offered typical farm store goods. There was nothing overly impressive about the store, but it is worth a look. We loved this place and even though it is more than an hour away, this will be our go to place to pick your own fruits and vegetables. We are looking forward to bluberries season in early July!

No entrance fee per person and no parking fee (Unlike many other farms). The downside was that there were not many strawberries. The ones we did pick were already wilting within 24hours. I think we caught the end of picking season. The farm is about 1/4 mile down from the market /cafe/brewery. The market is cute and has a lot of pantry items as well as fresh produce. They also serve lunch (chicken sandwich, etc). I was surprised at how expensive everything was. It was $18 for the chicken sandwich. It was well fried and came with a good portion of salad. However, the chicken itself was very small. It also took 20 min to be served. Another option is the airstream in the back. They were selling hot dogs. They had some local dogs that were pretty tasty. The brewery on premise was great. They had a play area to keep the kids occupied, tables/chairs and the World Cup was on. Can't really get better than that. There is also a goat pen in the back of the market. You can pay for some food and the kids can feed the goats. A lot of places charge you just to see the goats. This place doesn't haggle you like that. Great place. I wish they were closer to the city!
