Came here on a field trip. Very well organized with the farm. Nice farm for the kids to run around especially at tiny village. We went for a tractor ride after, circling the apple tree orchard. Not many animals, several goats and one cow. The goats were super friendly with the kids. After, the kids snacked on cider and apple cider donuts. The apple cider was a hit with my toddler, she typically doesn't like it. Donut was tasty. If you come on the weekend there's an entrance fee of $10 but they give you a $10 voucher to spend in the bakery. Cider donuts are expensive tho, $17 . There's also a cute lil pumpkin patch for photo ops or pumpkin picking.

June was perfect for strawberry picking and since my family were visiting, we decided to visit Dubois Farms to pick some strawberries. The place has plenty of parking. It was beautiful, and upon arrival we went to the market store where you will pay $1 for a box to fill your pickings. Next you took a trailer that would take you to the strawberry field. A fun short ride! We went on a weekday so it was slow which was nice. Since it was about 80 degrees, 1/2 hour was more than enough. The field had strawberries but you really need to look deep into the plant to find nice ones. Fun experience! But 2 boxes costed over $50 dollars. Nice experience!

Maybe our visit was tardy this year. We visited DuBois Farms again this year 1st week of October, but too late for honey crisp apples. There were soooo many people compared to last year, maybe the COVID was the main reason DuBois was a bit less busy last year ....?? Still ..... Great tavern, pizza, apple cider donuts !!!! It looked very lively with music & kids running around, riding the hay rides. But, no tomatoes, no green peppers to pick.

We go here annually for apple picking in the Fall. It's easy to access, well organized and laid out and has staff readily available when parking, exploring or around the orchards. Great for small children, strollers and mobility devices in most places (though the rows in the orchards themselves require walking.) They have a play area, petting zoo and picnic tables for concessions. Prices are a bit steep but there is a lot of tourist traffic. It's a great couple of hours with the family!

We were back at our favorite pick your own today, Dubois Farms. We started with lunch in The Tavern. The wood fired pizza, berry, and goat cheese salad and strawberry sangria were perfect. Fresh and delicious! Then, off to pick strawberries and raspberries. The farm is beautiful and clean, and the staff are cheerful and ready to help. After picking our fruit, we sat on the porch and listened to the live music. It was a really great day, and we will be back later in the season to pick peaches and nectarines when they are ready!

Every year we meet with my cousins who live up in Albany to go apple picking or cider tasting or some fall activity. We wondered in covid times how to do this safely and came across DuBois Farms who really excelled at putting aside our fears. AND THOSE APPLE CIDER DOUGHNUTS YO. Still dreaming about them! It was great to catch up with my cousins. We also brought my grandma who has difficulty walking. It was a little hard for her to walk down the long lines but we took it slow. One of the staff members offered to bring us back to the cars with a golf cart when we were leaving but my grandma opted to stretch out her legs for a little bit longer, what a lady. The cider we had there was delicious too and we felt really fortunate to have such a beautiful day in this mess of a year.

I love apple picking and have made it my annual Fall tradition. Due to COVID, I was concerned how farms would operate and what my experience would look like given current restrictions. This farm did not disappoint. Everyone had to wear masks on premises. No tasting of fruits or vegetables allowed as you pick your own produce in the orchards. Visitors kept their distance from each other, so our trip was very pleasant and safe. Staff members were all courteous and accommodating. Operation hours are 10am-5pm, but when we were leavening around 6:20, there were a few people still hanging around. Prices on everything went up from last year, which is the unfortunate reality of inflation and COVID. This farm has everything for everyone--pick your own fruit AND vegetables, a pumpkin patch, shops with local, delicious goodies, a pond with ducks, farm animals for the kids, picnic areas, play areas for children, plenty of greenery to enjoy and relax on. I was impressed with the wide array of things to do for the whole family. Definitely worth a whole day visit. Prepare to spend some $$$ here--everything is so tempting that resisting is impossible! The aromas wafting out the store are beguiling--the baked pies, cookies, doughnuts, and sweets are expensive but alluring. Upon entrance, grab a free cart on which you'll pile on the goodies that you'll be picking & purchasing. All pick your own fruits and vegetables are priced by weight (see picture of prices). The produce is delicious and so worth the higher-than-your-typical-supermarket price. The Concord grapes reminded me of my childhood in Ukraine. Never have I tasted such grapes elsewhere in America. Tomatoes are juicy, sweet and red. Not like those tasteless, unripe imposters you get at a grocery store. Really enjoyed picking my own vegetables in addition to apples. The apples trees that are not ripe for picking are fenced by ropes so you don't go to those areas. They are also not indicated on the map that you get to navigate the farm. We spent around $50 for a bag of apples and a box of vegetables. Definitely not cheap, but worth the experience and quality food.

Fantastic farm for apple picking and even a variety of vegetables, grapes, tomatoes and more. Definitely check out their schedule on the website at the beginning of August for the types of apples that are ready in each given week/month. When you go apple picking, you have the option to borrow their carts to carry your picked apples and vegetables around. I thought this was a nice touch. There's a barn that sells various food items and alcoholic beverages. The pizza is pretty good but expensive for what's worth. Another barn sells baked goods, preserves and a bunch of other goodies before you head out. Do get the salsas, you won't regret it!! There is ample parking. I recommend trying to park as closest to the farm as possible. The walk back with all your heavy items can be daunting. Great places for photos and a good time w family and friends.

Came here with my family and friends on Sunday a few weeks ago. From Brooklyn this is quite a drive but these apples won't pick themselves. This farm Is large. There are not only apples when we went but also grapes, tomatoes, pumpkins and peppers. There's a tavern that you can purchase drinks and a store where you can get a bunch of other items like apple cider donuts. And a grill where you can purchase food. You can rent a cart for $5 and upon return you get bs To pick apples you buy a bag for 50 cents and you fill the bag as you see fit then it is weighed and you pay in the store. The grapes, tomatoes and peppers, you buy a box for $1 then that is also weighed. The pumpkins you just pick one and pay based on the weight. Coming here was a good experience but it was tiring just based on the size of the farm. It's a good place for family fun.

This is the most beautiful farm we've ever been, as you walk in you feel so welcomed, it can feel through the whole farm that the owners built this farm with love and happiness! The rolling hills and a little pond with ducks, a little village for the kids to play and the best peaches we ever had! We picked eggplants, zucchini, tomatoes, grapes, apples and lots of peaches! From the store we picked up apple cider donuts (sooo good), peach pie and a couple jars of pickles, salsa and jams. For lunch we had a cranberry goat cheese salad and their famous pizza (we tried the prosciutto) everything was really good and fresh! I already recommended it to all my friends We'll come back with all our friends!!!

Returning PYO customer. Loved the donut peaches here. Don't tell anyone but I am really here for the YELLOW DONUT PEACHES. They are the best peaches. They are the reason I am here. Visiting the farm is something I looked forward to since last year when I accidentally dropped by. They have family friendly space for all ages. Lots of variety of fruits and vegetables. They have food and drinks with tables or grass that we can sit around and enjoy the day. They have cute llamas, sheep/ goats at the back. They have friendly and helpful staff almost at every spot at the farm. From entrance to the back you will be able to find someone to help you. I will come back next year for their donut peaches for sure.

Ask the Community - DuBois Farms

Are pies (i.e. pecan pie) available for purchase on weekdays?

There were a few pies when I went today ( Wednesday ). So I don't see why they wouldn't be available any other day :)

We are bringing my grandma with us on our trip soon, she has difficulty walking & I'm a little concerned she may have trouble if there are only port-o-potties available. Does the farm have indoor or more permanent bathrooms available for public use?

There were working facilities by the barn/market when i was there! There were also lines to get to to them. But everything was orderly (and, fyi they still have a wagon/tractor to take people closer to the picking areas from the parking lot).

    Is this place pet friendly?

Because they have farm animals, they can not welcome pets visiting their farm.

Hi there! I plan to go to pick some fruits and veggies on the Labor Day weekend, what do you offer now?

Call the farm see what they have, go soon they sell out fast very fresh.

Had a fun fall day at Weed Orchards and Winery this past weekend with my friends!…read more First off, I'd recommend buying tickets online beforehand because they are cheaper when you buy them online. Upon coming in, you will be guided by the workers on where to park. The parking lot is on a field of grass right in front of the entrance. Prices on the bags vary depending on whether you're apple picking, grape picking, or flower picking; as well as the size of the bags. This orchard consists of different types of activities such as fruit picking, hay rides, dining, drinking, playground for kids, and a small animal farm. They have plenty of drink options like, beer, wine, cider, and non alcoholic beverages. Their cafe menu is limited, but they have a food truck if you want more options. My friends and I ordered... 1. Black Cherry hard cider on tap: This was good; not too sweet and not too strong in terms of alcohol taste. Rate 7/10. 2. Chicken tenders w/fries: The tenders and were fries were average; it tasted like your classic tenders and fries, nothing special. Rate 6/10. 3. Truffle Fries: These were yummy! They had a strong truffle taste which was delicious. Rate 8.5/10. 4. Beef Empanadas: This included 2 empanadas and they both were very tasty! The flavor was great, and the breading was super crispy! Rate 8.5/10. *all the food portions were a generous amount; however; they were a bit pricey.* Lastly, they have a small bakery w/ their baked goods, homemade jams, and ice cream. From their bakery we ordered... 1. Apple cider donuts: These come in 6; they were warm and soft, and had a great apple cider flavor. Rate 7/10. 2. Peanut Butter Cup Cookie: This was delicious! It had a strong peanut butter flavor which I love; and the cookie was nice and soft! Rate 8.5/10. Overall, this orchard is such a fun place to spend time with friends, family, partner, and your dog since it is pet friendly! There are so many awesome things to do, and lots of perfect photo opportunities! I'd definitely recommend this place for those who are looking for an exciting fall activity to do!

There's a massive horseshoe bar, gender neutral bathrooms, bar games, firepits, many taps, and my favorite, RIVER VIEWS! The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable and recommended a few tasty styles of beer. Locust Grove makes their own cider and features beer from King's Court Brewery a few miles away. I recommend the Bat Exodus Nitro Stout. Had two and, as a Guinness fan, I thought this was far more flavorful. If stouts aren't your preference, they have many varieties of ales, IPAs, porters, and ciders. The cider isn't too sweet. I sampled a few and found them fruity, funky, and crushable without much sugar. Can't wait to visit again and pick up some swag. Locust Grove has shirts, beanies, and other branded items for purchase. If you're looking for outdoor space, know that they have 3 or 4 Solostove Stainless Firepits. These things are the best - high heat and no smoke. They "fired" it right up for us and before we knew it, three hours passed watching the river as the sun set behind us.
