If you have a town of some size there will be a Walmart there. This one is ok I guess. Dated store, strange parking lot entrance but that seems to be the M.O. For most of them. I've never seen every register open even during the busiest times. Cashiers always seem tired and ready to go home. I feel bad for them. Maybe one day it will change but probably not when most of America shops here regularly. So why change it??

I saw that there was a Publix in Pigeon Forge and knew that's where we'd need to go to get our picnic supplies! Because we had flown in (and didn't have picnic basket on our pack list), I knew that we needed to get a small cooler to keep our drinks and sandwiches cool on the warm spring day. Fortunately, Publix had a nice variety of small lunch box size coolers and we found one for a reasonable price that was perfect for what we needed and would collapse down for easy packing to bring it home. We then made our way to the deli and got fresh, deli made sandwiches made with boar's head meats and cheeses. They're fully customizable and we very much enjoyed them! We were also able to grab some fruit, pretzel crisps, boar's head hummus, and bottled beverages to round out our picnic. Everything was great, prices were reasonable, and we enjoyed a beautiful picnic in this beautiful area. One note would be that the deli does get busy. We were there in the ease of spring (ie: no big National Park crowds) and we still had to wait in a bit of a line for our deli sandwiches. So, just something to factor into scheduling. That said, we didn't mind a bit and the sandwiches were worth the wait. Get to it!

It was located at the intersection of Great Smoky Mountains Pkwy and Wears Valley Rd. The store was clean, well organized, and well maintained. I was able to easily find what I needed. Prices weren't the best, but there were some deals here and there. I bought 2 bags of Boulder Canyon chips for $8 and a gallon of Publix drinking water for $1.43. It was quicker and very convenient for me to pay for my items while using one of the self checkout kiosks and be on my way.

It seems to be a super popular deli, since there is almost always a line, but the employees are super fast and the wait time is very short. The meat department has a great variety and the cuts are super fresh. The dairy and frozen foods also have great varieties. There is a floral area and the plants are so beautiful, I have purchased quite a few of these. Never a disappointment. There is self check out, but I enjoy chatting with the checker and bag person. Both are efficient in getting you out of the store in a timely manner. Great store and super clean! Very pleased!

I would like to see a brand of non dairy yogurt as I didn't see any, but maybe there was. The lines were going fairly smoothly and I had all my groceries separated already in their reusable grocery bags ( which as a grand opening gift, you receive 2). The cashier was very apprehensive that I had just placed the bags full on the conveyor belt instead of dumping all the items. I always have an extra bag empty and ready to begin the bagging process on the end but she was anxious. I thought it went well and she did a good job but she asked me to next time take all the items out and place them on the conveyor belt! Honestly, I am hoping the store video will show her how smoothly that went because at a bag it yourself grocery and even a regular grocery store it goes so much smoother. That's my only concern. They have good supplies of gluten-free items, and their Harvest Farms sirloin steaks are deliciously tender. I use them often as a Personal Chef. They offer a good selection of produce, dairy and personal care items, as well. Their restrooms are always clean, aisles are fairly wide, and they keep a supply of buggies ready for you. Plus! There is a Starbucks inside. Yum!
