Went this Sunday for brunch. Cute place with niece decor and backyard. Full bar. Big enough enough for events. They take reservations. They have boozy brunch for $30 plus entree. My friend and I decided not to stay because the menu is underwhelming. The breakfast items doesn't include any sides and not too many choices. The food menu contains Ox Tail and Jellof rice but over priced; $35-40 you're looking at $60+ with the unlimites drinks for brunch. I appreciate the verity in cultural dishes. Cocktails are $17 which is standard. I would recommend it. I like the backyard space. It's out of the way for me an hour plus but anyone willing to try should def do so. read more

So we went to this place because it was recommended by the place we were staying. When you walk in there's bar sitting and a couple tables to eat your food there. You wouldn't know there's an entire decent size patio in the back with tvs/projectors. There's a lot more seats back there. They stay open until 2a. The kitchen closes at midnight. We had the chicken and oxtails. The fried chicken is not disappoint. They had great flavor. The oxtails were tender and had a spice to it that I enjoyed. I'm guessing the oxtails were to come with cabbage but I received more peppers than cabbage, but I also ordered right before they closed the kitchen. My only complaint is paying $15 for a shot of Jameson is expensive. I'm from Chicago so not sure if that's the going rate in the Bronx. read more

I really enjoyed my meal here! All the food was good, but I especially loved the patties and the golden brownie (it's topped with cashew butter which is so decadent). The drinks were also good (but strong!). They have a ton of deals and specials here, including free shots during karaoke every Wednesday. They also have a big happy hour menu (includes food and drinks). The service was a bit slow, it took about 1.5 hours total. My partner is a content creator and he was invited by Inine Bistro to try the food. He had never been there, nor had he tried the food before. Me being an elite and visited twice (most recently 3 weeks ago), I gave him great feedback about my experiences based on the Elite events. I had always wanted to return on a non-elite occasion to see what it's like, especially for their weekday events. He agreed to try them out and we were off to the races for a Thursday night dinner. Before I go further, I'd like to preface by saying, he was offered a complimentary meal as part of his review of the restaurant. I attended as his +1 thus, my meal was also comped. As a patron and Yelp elite, I was not offered anything in exchange for my personal feedback and this review is solely about my experience. Aside from the management he connected with, there is no one I'm aware of that knew I was a Yelp elite either. Now onto our experience. Upon entering, we were welcomed and seated in the back/lounge area. We stopped by on a Thursday evening which to my surprise, was karaoke night. There were also specials, including $1 wings! Love it! The backlounge area is a calm, cozy space with lounge chairs and dining tables. It is also dimly lit with a few TVs and a projection screen on the wall, while a nice variety of music plays in the background. Moreover, menus are provided using tablets which makes things very efficient. Karaoke did not start until about 7pm. There was'nt a lot of participation but the host was a great sport and came around welcoming folks to get involved. They seemed to have a nice selection of songs and the vibe was free of judgement. As an added bonus, anyone who participated was offered a free shot. For food, I started out with the veggie Inine I've had them before and they were consistent - the veggies were sauteed perfectly, the crust was hot and crispy, and they were seasoned just right. The only difference was that these were much bigger than I'm used to. During the Elite events they were mini sized. For the entree, I went for the rasta pasta with jerk salmon. The pasta was cooked nicely and the sauce was deliciously creamy with a slight kick of Jerk spice and perfectly sauteed veggies tossed in. On the other hand though, I was'nt amazed with the salmon. It's a very nice portion of a skinless filet that has been grilled with a dry-rub jerk spice. It had a pretty moist flesh and the spice was mild. Overall, it was'nt bad, it tasted alright, just nothing spectacular. If I had to suggest improvements, I would've preferred it with a crispy skin. I'm also not a huge fan of the dry-rub seasoning, I like a wet marinade. With the dry rub, it was more like a blackened salmon versus jerk but I think it makes sense since the rasta pasta is already moist. My partner had the oxtails with a side of jollof rice and salad. I took a piece of oxtail, it was good and consistent with the tasting I had last year. My sample of the Jollof was slightly peppery but overall ok. I've only had Ghanian jollof in the past, so I'm not sure I'm experienced enough to compare it with anything but it definitely tasted authentic to what I would think of when it comes to the broadness of African cuisine. To complete our meal, I had a slice of the New York style cheesecake with the berry hibiscus sauce. Unfortunately, the berry sauce was not tasty and the texture of the cheesecake was too soft. I would definitely skip it in the future. As for drinks, my partner had the 'One Love' cocktail. It's a huge drink that's really meant for two people but I'm pregnant. He tried to finish it on his own but couldn't lol. Finally, in an effort to support the business, I purchased some BBQ beef Inine patties to take home and I left a tip as a thank you. In terms of service, the staff were kind, attentive, and welcoming. Furthermore, they were knowledgable when it came to the menu. No matter what question we had, they were able to answer us and offer recommendations, which I appreciated. The speed of service was also great with the exception of the desserts which took some time. All-in-all though, it was a good dining experience. I was really pleased to come back and try them outside of the Yelp experience and honestly, they did not disappoint. I would return in the future and I would recommend to others. Then came the Lollipop Lamb Chops Maquis Style. It was soo juicy, tender, perfectly grilled and served with couscous. 10/10 recommend trying this main. Someone told me that there was a patio space in the back which I wasn't introduced to the first and last time I came. So this time the waitress asked which seating do I prefer. Great location on Bruckner Ave! So you can hop around between restaurants and bars. The music playlist is a total vibe. Even without a DJ the music is great to vibe to. It's a cute secluded ambiance. Feels like a little escape outside of the Bronx. Wait staff is extremely friendly. Loved the Jollof rice and the sweet plantains. The Lagos wings were amazing- definitely spicy. International Nine has been on my list of places to try for some time now. Back in May, plans were made to grab dinner and catch up, @ another location. When I arrived and they were closed, I was in search for a backup and I remembered my list. Late afternoon/early evening I was lucky enough to find a non-metered spot across the street. We entered and was seated immediately, as the place was pretty empty at first. I ordered the Nephew Punch (the first of 2) to start along with a couple of apps- Vegetable Patties & Firecracker Gulf Shrimp Tempura. The punch was tasty and the patties and shrimp tempura were nice starters. In addition I ordered the Grilled Jerk Shrimp Taco & Grilled Paprika Chicken Taco to try prior to my entrée of the Kingston Caesar Salad w/ Jerk Salmon. My dinning companion ordered the Kingston Caesar Salad w/ Jerk Shrimp. Of course by the time my salad came out I was full. Both tacos were delicious and flavorful but the most memorable star was the jerk salmon, I had to try it before I packed it to-go. Light, flaky, juicy with a well balance of both sweet and spicy flavor components. The croutons also had a slight sweet coconut flavor which was a nice added touch. The dining area itself is not that big, but they made great decor decisions with international clocks and hand painted murals. Even though the dinning space is small they do have a seated bar as well as outdoor space in the back. As the night proceeded foot track increased, for the event that was held in the back space. The food was great and the staff was pleasant, however at times the services was very spotty even though it was not busy. We were the only ones dining initially. Also I was little put off because we were seated by a table occupied by someone with authority and a definite managerial position (based on his interaction with staff and the laptop) who had his shoes off and did not deem it appropriate to put them on after we were seated or when our service started. It was a bad impression to say the least. Overall I enjoyed my food and I am happy I was able to give them a try. I will return but I will make sure it's around the same time (early). With a small dinning space and slow service I can only imagine when they are busy. Just A Note: The Jerk Salmon was amazing! I'm not from the city, but I definitely traveled there a lot this little gem in the "Hipster District" of the Bronx's was definitely everything I needed on a holiday. My company and I enjoyed the Bahamas Trip Crab Cake for an appetizer along with a bottle of champagne for Mimosas to start off. For the appetizer she enjoyed the Georgia's peach Chicken and Waffles which I tasted a bit of and it was splendid. I really enjoyed the peach honey syrup. It added a nice touch to the Vanilla waffles and the crunchiness of the chicken. I enjoyed The Black Samurai Hanger steak Suya spice and eggs. Although my meal was deliciously prepared, I was expecting a more eloquent preparation of the eggs. We sat outside in the garden and it was cute but just a tad bit hot with only the fans to cool the area. The drinks were really good, but the strawberry lemon drop was my favorite. For my meal, I had the Korean BBQ steak and eggs which was very tasty. No complaints here. My only critique regarding the food was that the brunch menu was a little limited. For our entrees, I got the Island Oxtail with coco-rice and cabbage. I haven't had oxtail that delicious in a minute - it was spicy, flavorful and literally falling off the bone. S/o got the iNine burger which was delicious. The red peppers mixed with the sauce on it gives it a perfect touch. The angus burger was of high quality and cooked to perfection. For dessert, I had the hibiscus berry cheesecake and it was perfect. The hibiscus sauce was amazing. He had the Gold Coast brownie and it was super moist. It is HUGE as we struggled to finish it and y'all know I never leave a cup unturned LOL. it was well mixed and strong without the liquor overpowering the flavor. It was so big and strong we didn't feel the need to order anything else to drink. And we definitely left feeling nice. I hate to give this restaurant such low stars because i have been here twice before and the food was a lot better! I went there for brunch on a Sunday. The food this time around i would give it a 3/10. We ordered the chicken and waffles, chicken wings, the classic burger, fries, plantain and bacon. The chicken for the chicken and waffles wasn't seasoned and the waffles were hard and dry. The person i was with didn't like their burger and said it didn't taste fresh. The only thing we like was the plantain. The ambiance was great like always and i loved that they had the World Cup playing on the screens. The staff was attentive and accommodating. This is a low key chill spot offering bottomless brunch for an incredibly affordable price of $30. The $30 includes your meal plus 90mins of unlimited mimosas. For my meal I went with the Georgia Peach (chicken & waffles). The waffles were good, chicken a tad over cooked. What I really enjoyed is the mimosas. They offer five different choices with the caramel apple being my fav. It was a perfect balance of champagne & juice. My waitress was very attentive making sure our glasses stayed full. My complaint is the piece of hair my friend found within her food. As soon as we alerted the waitress she swapped it out. Besides that the meal was great. read more

My husband said theirs is the best vegan burger he's had in all of New York City. The hand cut fries are exceptional and you get a good portion! Came here for brunch on a Sunday and it was not packed at all. I was able to find a parking spot right on the same block. What I originally ordered (chicken and waffles) they did not have so I had to get a burger which was fine I guess. The drinks were pretty strong as well. The DJ played really good music so the vibe there was really nice. I would visit again ! read more
