This is a nice trendy place known for, their Friday happy hour and Sunday brunch. I was bored this past Saturday and I heard a lot of good reviews about the food, especially the oxtail. I got there around 8pm. There weren't many people there. They had a DJ who was pretty good, if you like late 90's early 2000's music. The menu is Caribbean/Soul food fusion food. I ordered an appetizer which was the oxtail, Mac and cheese egg roll. They were absolutely delicious. For the main course I went with the oxtail with, mashed potatoes and broccoli. Everything was delicious. The oxtail were tender (falling off the bone) it was seasoned perfectly. The mashed very a perfect consistency and they tasted homemade. The broccoli was cooked perfect as well. The price was $28 and I might say well worth it. I also ordered a margarita with lime juice and seltzer. The drinks were not strong at all, and a little too sweet for my liking, but the food made up for that. This is my new favorite place for a nice plate of oxtails. read more

The food, ambiance, and staff were amazing. Our mentoring program had its etiquette dinner at the Edge and the were attentive to our needs from the beginning to the end. The manager was wonderful, there aren't enough words to describe the level of customer service she bestowed upon us. All the food arrived to the table hot and delicious. All of our guests commented how they enjoyed their food. Our young ladies that we mentor, cannot stop talking about the evening and how they enjoyed their food. Poor service,The chicken wings was super salty. The oxtails meal was tasteless, and the food was not hot. the 15.00 long island ice tea was watered down. My daughter had shrimp Rasta pasta it had no taste the shrimp tasted spoiled . it was our first and last time going there . I was so disappointed . 115.00 lost . they included the tip in the bill . I would not have given the server nothing. She was horrible . Happy hour food selection is very limited but it's very yummy and good value (except for the fries, I wasn't feeling it). The happy hour drinks were a real good bank for the bucks and not watered down as you'd expect. They say reservations are not required but having gone there on a Friday night, trust me it is needed because it got PACKED!! Their service got a bit hectic the busier it got, but overall no complaints, a time was had for real. The dj was rocking out all the old school hits which was a vibe and very fitting of the population. I went for brunch 2 times before that and the food was delicious and the service was great but it's really busy on a day that is crowded. Pleasantly surprised, I order the oxtail Lo Mein, and My guy ordered Oxtails with Peas rice & cabbage. We were skeptical because the Edge has the vibe of a neighborhood lounge that services food. We all did not receive our food at once. We waited almost two hours for the last few meals to come out and the venue was basically empty. When it came down to the mimosas, nothing but sweet orange juice. I requested several occasions to hold off on the orange juice and allow us to taste the champagne, especially if we are paying an additional $20 per person for the unlimited option. There was seseveral times I had to walk over to the bar, for water or more Napkins. We accidentally broke one of the glass and the waiter never came to clean off the table. I visited Edge Lounge back in June 2024 to celebrate a friend's birthday. This was my first time visiting this location. Prior to entering there is someone to check your bags and quick pat down to make sure you're not bringing in anything. When we arrived, it was still early and wasn't as crowded so the atmosphere was nice and comfortable. As additional guests started to come in, it began to become suffocating inside. Thank goodness we were in the corner; we also would go outside for some air. When we arrived it was still happy hour, I order the chicken quesadilla which was really delicious. It wasn't enough to fill me up as they only give you half the quesadilla as it's happy hour. I requested a regular menu which took me asking about 5 different staff members and almost 30 minutes later. After I finally received a menu and requested sliders it must have taken almost two hours to receive it. They were even sliders they were huge. I wasn't a fan as it was really thick and lacked seasoning. I didn't finish my first one and didn't even touch the second one. The fries were okay. I will say the music was great. I think I'm giving the rating mostly for the music. This location is accessible via express bus and regular MTA however I teok an Uber to and from. They accept cash and card. This place looks great. It's one of those fresh, contemporary spaces with loud music, hookah, and a fake grass/ivy wall replete with a neon sign. Yeah, this place is right out of the handbook, and that's not a bad thing. However, the food could be a little better. The ribeye isn't bad, but it's definitely nothing special. The same could be said about most of the other dishes (garlic mashed potatoes, truffle fries, asparagus) except the fried chicken sandwich. You'd expect a nice juicy breast or maybe a little thigh but instead, you get something thinly sliced, dry, and flavorless. To the bartender with the skull tattoos on the back of his arm, and a terrible attitude; please consider working elsewhere. You work in an environment where great customer service is expected and people want to drink and have good energy around them. We are spending our hard earned money for you to act like you don't want to be here, or as if the customer is bothering you. This bartender worked February 26th during happy hour, and upon our arrival, he already just had mean and uninterested energy. This is while it was very slow. My partner and I ignored his vibe and stayed for the music and ambiance. I ordered 2 margaritas ( 2 for 10 deal) jerk empanadas , and my partner ordered a beer and the festival . I get one margarita. Whatever. I didn't stress it, even though it was slow. It picks up a bit and more people start to come eventually. The dj comes in as we get our food so it's a bit louder than before. Food took super long to arrive but nevertheless, I was lost in conversation with my partner so I didn't complain. The bartender comes back around and ask my partner if he would like another beer, my partner says not at the moment, and he brings another one anyways. So I'm already noticing he's not listening to anything we are saying yet again. After finishing my empanadas, I decided I wanted wings so I ask the bartender. He looks at me and ask me what flavor. I tell him sweet chili, he nods and he walks away to attend to other people. Time goes by, I'm enjoying myself and I notice it's like another 30-45 min and I didn't get any wings. My partner asks the bartender what's going on with my order, and this man looks us right in our faces and tells us we didn't order wings. Now I'm annoyed because this is the third instance that this guy isn't listening to anything being said to him. I told him never mind to avoid any argument, and we paid and left. I probably won't be returning anytime soon. And they take gratuities automatically so maybe that's why he feels like he can act however he wants.
