Came back for a second time bc I couldnt stop thinking about the lambchops i had last time. This time i was a bit disappointed. The server we had wasnt very good. We waited a very long time in btwn everything. The longest was to take our order. She messed up on our drink orders more than once and in most times it didnt even look like she understood what we wanted until one of our party translated to make sure she understood to make sure she didnt get our order wrong for a third time. My lambchops were over cooked and rough to eat. Everyone else liked their dishes. Maybe it was just an off day, ill try again when its less busy.

Ended up visiting here with a friend for a late-night dinner on Saturday. Although the bartenders had their hands full, they were super attentive to us and checked in regularly. Our orders came out surprisingly quickly and were absolutely delicious. The stuffed skirt steak with sweet plantains and cheese--wow! The drinks were delicious and strong, giving great value for the price. The place was a bit cramped, but it wasn't too bad. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area.

I'm sure like many of you, you've seen the TikTok's and instagram reels about this place. So of course I was intrigued and wanted to check it out. I love a cute drink, and it is clear that drink presentation is their thing. So I was happy to check it out. I came here on a date on a Saturday night and it was not crowded at all, but also not empty. The place was smaller than expected and would be perfect if you are looking for an intimate date. They played a variety of music, but it's mostly Spanish music. They also offer hookah if that's your vibe. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the server was really nice. For food, I got the lobster roll which came with fries. The flavor lobster roll was good. It was on the spicy side as they use chipotle mayo as their binder. The brioche bun was nicely toasted and buttered. The lobster on top of the roll was cooked perfectly. In the body of the roll there was a stringy textured protein. It did not taste like lobster, and tasted more like initiation crab. I didn't like it at all and wished that the roll was filled with the same lobster pieces that were on top of the roll. As for the fries, they were just fries and nothing special to comment on. If you didn't know, I love lychee based drinks so I got the "Washington Heights Lady". So for presentation it's definitely a 10/10. That said, the drink was really good, and I could definitely taste the lychee flavor throughout. I would definitely recommend it. So I'm still undecided on this spot. I really want to give it another chance and order something safer like wings, because the drinks and vibe were pretty good. I think that if I were to visit again, I would sit at the bar and maybe get hookah. I definitely would like to try the other drinks. Perhaps there will be an updated review...

Fell in love with this place the first time I went. Admittedly It's not too big inside but the drinks are great and the food is very solid. I love how they don't overcharge! The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The absolute BEST part of Legacy is the wall on your left as you enter. This wall features REAL autographs from all sorts of celebrities but mainly MLB players. It's a nice touch and super unique.

This bar was nice and the ambiance was fun. We were looking for a place in the heights for my birthday to just have an early dinner since it was a Wednesday and this spot was recommended to me. The drinks were awesome and the server was so nice and gave us excellent service. I had the ribeye with yuca fries. It was delicious perfectly cooked and the calamaris were so good and came with two sauces. I would definitely go again just for the ribeye!

Mother's Day 2024. Let's start from the beginning. Reservation for 9:15pm. Guests from my party arrives and they ain't want to grant a table for our reservation at first. Tried to sit us outside when we clearly booked for indoor. They end up accommodating us inside. We sit, no water offered. We order our food right away because we already sense we don't want to be here for long. Took the bar an hour and some change to bring out our drinks. Mind you, they took 2 hours to just bring out the appetizer. The Food comes out at 11:45-12:15am. 3 hours for the food to come out.... The cherry on top, THE RESERVATION FEE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE BILL. False advertising for what. Could've just said un refundable or not included in the bill to not mislead us. Very unorganized place. Drinks are good though. Literally just a bar where you can get drinks.

Came here yesterday with a few coworkers, for starters the place is tiny and looks bigger in photos. We could only be seated at the bar because we didn't have reservations which was fine but service was super slow. Instead of letting one of the bartenders service only the bar both the bar tenders were servicing the other parties leaving the bar with slow service. The drinks were weak but it was happy hour I'm assuming that's why. I ordered the wings and calamari, the calamari was decent however the wings were definitely frozen wings they popped in the fryer they were disgusting. My two coworkers ordered food and waited for it for 40 minutes which makes absolutely no sense seeing as though they clearly aren't cooking the happy hour bites. Overall no need for me to come back to this establishment

The food taste bland and it was cold had to return my food and my mother's food back due to reserving the food late. The service was OK could be better and make sure you book late because when you book your time and you get there. You have a short Limited time to eat and enjoy yourself with your friends or family before you get kicked out because the next person need the table. The only good thing about this place is The drinks, it was very tasty except the pink drink I forgot the name of it.

I arrived with my partner and there the adventure began. Our waitress swapped us out to another after she took our order. My order came wrong. But I'll chalk that up to not hearing me over the music. A person who I can only assume was the owner or manager came and made sure the table adjacent had everything they needed even after they had their doggie bags to go. Meanwhile my partner and I waited just about an hour for our entrees to come out, because they forgot that we ordered a starter. The food was perfect. I found no fault with my food, other than it wasn't correct. I'm fair with alot of things that may happen with service in post pandemic nyc. What I can't tolerate is poor service based on table. I don't want to draw conclusions, but as a black Puerto Rican, I was upset to notice the disparities in service. My newest server was a black Hispanic named Maria and I am glad she waited on us. She didn't have the hang ups that I experienced with the others. That being said I truly don't know why the kitchen was so slow, but the servers and manager/owner need to get it better together. I won't be returning.

One of the best restaurants in uptown. Please try the lobster roll. I think the best lobster roll I ever had! Friendly staff & professional. They also have a live band which I loved. This place is just perfect!

We ordered the appetizer wings (approx 7 wingettes) They were deliciously crunchy with a delicious mango sauce. My daughter ordered the skirt steak. It was bland. We stood there confused, eventually trying to find a table ourselves. Since no one was assisting us and there were no open tables available, we sat at the bar. My friend continued waiting and trying to secure a table, but there was no communication from staff. To make matters worse, another group arrived after us and was seated before us. They mentioned they had been there before, and it felt like they were given priority while we were overlooked, despite waiting longer. Service at the bar was equally frustrating. The bartender was inattentive and focused only on certain sections. It took about 10 to 15 minutes just to get a simple glass of wine. We had to repeat our orders multiple times, which should have been a red flag. The appetizer, Korean wings, arrived quickly and was probably the only positive part of the evening. After that, everything went downhill. Our entrees took an extremely long time to arrive. It felt like nearly two hours. When the food finally came out, one of my friends did not receive her meal at all because the bartender forgot to put in her order. This was especially frustrating since we had repeated the order several times. When her dish, the pad Thai, finally arrived about 30 minutes later, it was mediocre at best and slightly cold. The steaks ordered by two of us were dry and under-seasoned. The vegetables were overcooked and bland. Overall, the food quality did not justify the long wait or the price. The bathrooms were another major issue. There was toilet paper on the floor and even period blood visible on the ground. It was unsanitary and honestly shocking. Cleanliness is the bare minimum for any establishment. The final bill came to $245, including an automatic $34 gratuity at the bar. Considering the service we received, this felt completely undeserved. There was no acknowledgment of the forgotten order and no attempt to make things right. As a final note, be cautious if you're wearing delicate or expensive clothing. The bar counter area has rough edges, and one of my friend's jerseys was snagged while we were sitting there. This was my first time here, and it will absolutely be my last. Between the poor service, mediocre food, lack of cleanliness, and high prices, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

The cheese sticks are a must when you visit. They are perfectly breaded, fried golden, crispy on the outside and melty on the inside. They come out hot, stretchy, and exactly what you want late at night. Their empanadas? Fire. The beef is juicy and packed with flavor, the chicken one is tender and well-seasoned, and that pink sauce... yeah, that sauce is elite. Creamy, tangy, with just enough kick to make you keep dipping until it's gone. I also ordered the chicken cachapa -- soft, slightly sweet corn pancake, stuffed generously and cooked just right. It's comforting, filling, and hits different when you're craving something authentic. Also on a late night on Dyckman, doesn't get better than this. The juices are fresh and refreshing, the perfect balance to everything savory. Service is quick and straight to the point, exactly what you need whether you're grabbing takeout or sliding into one of the small tables to eat in. The spot itself is small and cozy, no-frills, real neighborhood vibes all day. Overall, this is a classic Dyckman late-night Venezuelan staple. Upon arrival, it was not what I thought from reviews and pictures. Las Palmas was also listed as being open late, so I crossed the street to check it out. This was more in line with what I was thinking. Unfortunately, the posted hours are incorrect. Instead of having an hour to sit and be served, I had ten minutes to order take out. The interior was cute and I can imagine people here for a date or eating with the family. I decided to go with tacos. An order of fish and one birria. There are three tacos to an order for $16. I think that may be slightly costlier than nearby establishments, but not by much. I worried about the state my tacos because I had a ways to travel. But my concern was for naught. The bag and food were so considerately packed, nothing spilled. Including the consommé in a cup for the birria. Having the first fish taco, made me instantly decide I want to try this hot and fresh! It has a heaping serving of pico and a slice of avocado on top. My one complaint is that I needed more fish. Not sure if that's an accurate grumble or just me being late night hungry/greedy. I warmed the consommé a little before dipping the tacos. The onion and cilantro taste was perfect. The meat was well seasoned and melty good. Not fatty or tough like other birria I've had.
