So I convinced my sister in-law to go to lunch at Inky's today. We arrived and were immediately greeted by a very friendly hostess that actually had a great personality and she was even talkative and friendly to my 4 year old nephew. She sat us at the table and got our menus. Our server was PROMPTLY at the table taking our drink order and gave us plenty of time to look at the menu and decide what we wanted. I got the Colossal (18") cheesesteak hoagie (with lettuce, tomato, and sweet pepper relish on top). AhhhhMazing sandwich. I am originally from South Jersey, just across the Walt Whitman Bridge from Philly. My hometown is also home to Liscio's Bakery, where Inky's gets their legit Philly rolls. Yes!!!! We just moved from Philly and they make an awesome steak sandwich. I would also recommend the canoes, talk about huge and delicious! The service was so attentive, I think we were asked if we wanted refills on our drinks at least 5 times. The owner also came up and introduced herself because she recognized our non-South accent. Had opportunity on Good Friday to visit the Silo's in Easley, SC and with that came the chance to dine at Inky's. Being a holiday weekend location was very busy but that didn't stop us from waiting based on the reviews we had heard of this location. Our server Katelyn was fabulous made the experience even nicer. She focused on making sure the kids received their food promptly since it was later than they normally dine. We had 7 in our party and she easily handled our order. The food was WONDERFUL and living in Reading PA area for years we know what a good cheese steak is all about. Will certainly visit this location again when back in the Easley area. I ordered the club hoagie. It had no condiments and I just didn't like it. It was dry. I politely told the server. She said that she could not trade the food for something else. She also said she could not remove the entree from the bill. We spoke to the manager and he said the same. I have never ever been to a restaurant that refused to make it right or put the happiness of their customer first. We have been going to this restaurant since they were at their other location and truthfully the quality has not been the same. We won't be back. Who feels good about paying $14 for a sandwich that had one bite taken. read more

This is my first time trying this place and I can honestly say that this is the worst salad I've ever eaten in my life. All they did was take diced tomatoes, lettuce and some croutons and threw it in a box with a ball of meat and cheese in aluminum foil. When I say that this is all that was in this salad I mean it!!! Really great service! I ordered over the phone and the girl made sure she got it right and confirmed it again for me when I paid and received it, so there was no question they got it right. We got two 12" cheesesteaks, one with only steak and cheese and the other with onion, pepper, lettuce, & tomato, and it came out to $23. That's pretty steep for the area, but the food was high quality-made from rib eye, so that's definitely worth it, I think. Our friend from Philly says they're the best she's had this far from there! I am happy to have this place as an alternative to the chain sandwich joints in the area. (It's in the middle of a semi-vacant strip mall close to Wal*Mart right on 123, so it's ultra convenient.) read more

So i gave Inky's another try last weekend because moving from Philly I really wanted to like it, however the only positive about this place is that the servers are attentive. Here are several reasons you should go get a cheesesteak at Jersey Mike's instead. First bite spewed out grease that tasted like either parkay or margarine, totally ruined it for me. Blown AWAY by this place in every way possible. The staff is composed of young ladies all taking care of the tables together and every single one of them was polite, kind and attentive. The food was INCREDIBLE. We got the cheesesteak, italian hoagie and both tots and fries (with bacon and cheese, of course) and everything was delicious. The owner herself Stacy, spent over 20 minutes at our table talking with us and giving us good tips about what places to visit (since we are vacationing here). She told us all about Inky's history and works over 70 hours a week to make sure her restaurant is up to par - and it definitely shows. She is an amazing woman.
