A couple of weeks ago, my son was having issues with his eye over the weekend. Nothing helped with eye drops or eye wash, so once it was Monday, I brought him over when they opened at 8:00am. Upon entering, I was quickly greeted by the receptionist and explained to her about the irritation and was happy that they were able to get him in immediately. After filling out forms, we were quickly brought into the back testing first my son's vision then the optometrist came on by to check my son's vision and look for where the irritation was coming from. He quickly discovered what the issue was and had a prescription sent out right away. Everyone I spoke with in this office were nice, professional and couldn't have been happier with their help. I can't for the life of me remember which optometrist assisted me but he did great at finding out what the problem was right away. Thank you Inland Eye Specialists! read more

You get mediocre eye care, they constantly overbook to the point patients end up having to wait in the waiting room easily over an hour. Office experience has never been friendly, pleasant or helpful. My experiences twice is that I had booked my appointments months in advance and twice I was informed no appointments on record or for a complete different appointment time. No disregard to patients time. First time I had a scheduled appointment for the Murietta office only to be informed that there was no appointment scheduled even though I immediately showed the girl at the front desk my confirmed email that I confirmed through their system the day prior asking for my confirmation. That didn't matter the front desk girl responded very rudely oh our systems were down.. I stated okay here is my confirmation from your office if my appointment. I was told No I wasn't in the system and no appointment was scheduled for me. Long story short I immediately lodged a complaint with the office manager at the Murietta office after explaining my experience she made it right and scheduled me for the very next morning. Now the same thing happened to me again only at the Temecula office. I had a confirmed scheduled appointment for today at 1:00p. As I get there the young girl stated that my appointment wasn't till 3:00p I informed her that I confirmed yesterday my 1:00p appointment through their email requesting I confirm my 1:00p appointment. No regards to my time she flat out denied that I confirmed yesterday and offered nothing to make it right or make it right. Naturally high left and immediately called and requested speak to the front office supervisor only for her to apologize but stated that my appointment was scheduled a week ago, which is another concern because I had scheduled my appointment months ago so CLEARY they are running a whack a doodle, office. The manager did state that they have been having glitches in the system, I informed her these are huge, bad glitches.. IT'S NO WONDER THEY HAVE LOW RATINGS. We needed a new place to go that took our insurance, after our previous go-to place had a retirement take place. The wait was not bad, as was the actual exam I suppose. I specifically went in for an annual exam and contact lenses purchase/order. They do try to up-sale you on different aspects of the exam our (your) insurance did not cover. I got perturbed when I went to pay my bill and they charged me for a "contact lenses fitting" which I found ludicrous, as I have been wearing lenses for over 40 years (started with the old hard lenses and progressed into the soft lenses during that time frame). After a little heated back and forth they took that off the bill, but it should never have been added in the first place. They try hard to sell you way over priced frames for eyeglasses as well, both at the time of your initial appointment and when you go in to pick up your contact lenses. My previous place mailed the lenses to me, so this was obviously a tactic to try an up-sale you again, not only the inconvenience of having to return. Just say no and be on your way. I don't like dealing with extra BS, so I have subsequently found somewhere else to go for my annual exam and contact lenses purchase. read more

in early 2024 I made an appointment at Inland Eye Specialist. went thru my insurance, had my exam. went to get glasses. I found the glasses to be overpriced. I took my prescription elsewhere. early 2025 I got a text message as a reminder the day before that I had a second appointment scheduled. I texted back cancel. I never made that appointment. I got a second text the day of that appointment, that I never made the appointment. I called the office saying that I texted to cancel the day before my appointment. I Spoke to a receptionist that said that their system showed that I had made my appointment. ( I believe that this business might be making these appointments without the patients knowledge in an attempt to charge the patients insurance Illegally ). I insisted that I was not in the appointment because I was on duty at the firehouse. the receptionist said that their system was having issues, and that she would let me know. Now months later, I have been getting bills for $35.00 for a missed appointment. I have made multiple calls to the office. no supervisor is available to speak to me. And the newest excuse is that i have to write a hand-written letter to the office manager explaining what has happened. I never made this appointment, I don't think my insurance should be charged for appointments I never made or never was seen as a patient for. I believe this is a terrible business practice. After scratching my eye and going through some of the most excruciating pain I've ever experienced I showed up at Inland eye right as they were opening. I was literally whimpering in pain and scared the doctor wouldn't see me after getting turned away at another doctor because they were "too busy" However Dr Geller took me within an hour! He was kind, patient and very empathic to the pain I was in. After leaving the numbing drops wore off and I thought I my eye was literally on fire. My afternoon was spent crying and in so pain. Dr. Geller gave me his cell phone number due to my situation and coached me through what was happening! After a good nights rest I woke up without any pain just as he had said. I cannot say enough kind things about Dr Geller. I'm so thankful for his kindness, professionalism and patience with me. I'm a client for life!!! read more

Great service! We use Inland Eye for both my kids. Dr. Geller is great with both (8 and 12). They always laugh while at their appointments and aren't nervous to go at all. Daughter has great eyes and never needs more than an exam. My son has been in glasses since kindergarten but they always have a nice selection of frames for him to choose from. The staff is friendly to the kids and helpful with dealing with my insurance. I don't pay more than $50-100 per year for both kids. Will continue to use Inland Eye moving forward. (Even made an appt with the Laser Center in Murrieta for a LASIK consultation for myself!) read more

Went here for a chalazion, did not get any help and the doctor failed to identify that I actually had 2 chalazia in my eye. Before this visit, I had already met with my PCP and they told me to do warm compresses and prescribed me an eye ointment. Chalazion didn't go away, I came here 2 months later. The doctor started off by doing an assessment of my eyelid, massaging it and gently touching, then without warning he suddenly grabbed my eyelashes and yanked them, causing me to jolt backwards. This didn't hurt that much, but you'd think an eye doctor might say "I'm going to pull on your eye lashes" before doing something like that, since most people are reactive when it comes to their eyes. Not much else was done after this, the doctor told me to do warm compresses for 2 months to see if it would go away. This advice is something I saw on google, did nothing for me, and was not worth the cost of the visit. Now it has been 2 months since I visited Inland Eye Specialists, and of course the 2 chalazia are still there, as well as a THIRD chalazion that developed in my other eye. An eye doctor should be able to identify that there are more than one chalazia in my eye, considering the fact that I was able to discover this myself through touching my eyelid. It also seems likely that I have Blepharitis, being that I am getting multiple chalazia and my eyelash pores get crusted. The doctor even made note of my eyelash pores being clogged, but still didn't mention or consider that I might have Blepharitis? I spent money here for help and got what felt like a negligent experience. I want to come back just so the doctor can recommend me an ophthalmologist for removal, but I'm scared of going in and wasting my time/money again. If you have had a stubborn chalazion (1 month+) then this place will not help you more than a google search. Place is great for buying glasses though. read more

i was on vacation when my eye felt like it was being stabbed causing pain, swelling, and extreme discomfort. i went to Urgent Care and was told it was pink eye. 3 days later, without any improvement, I desperately called around for an eye doctor that could squeeze me in immediately. Inland Eye Center adjusted their schedule and it was the BEST doctor appointment I've EVER had!! The kind doctor found a corneal tear and gave me instant relief from the pain!! I've been going to Inland Eye Specialist for years. During my last visit their computer was down. I have two insurance companies and they never had an issue before but when their computer was down they did and they builded my insurance company incorrectly. They did not resolve it, kept billing me for the discrepancy and as of today I have decided to pay it in full. Not a large amount, but not the correct amount it should be. After multiple conversations and calls this is where it landed. Due to the service or willingness to resolve the issue I would not recommend them anymore. read more

Twice I've been here and she treats the customers like we're at the dmv (no offense to the dmv) My blood pressure went way up just trying to have a conversation with her about the test which requires you to dilate your eyes. Dr. Cury is fantastic. I've written two reviews about him already and I'm that this will be my final review. The office is actuall home to several optometrists aside from Dr. Cury. There is also an on-site store to purchase eye glasses as well. Plenty of parking is available, although it may difficult to find store front parking. We had a change in our insurance, so had to look for a new optometrist. Inland Eye Specialists took our insurance and was close by. I could not get over how expensive it was even with insurance. Supposedly our co-pay was only $10 but somehow I ended up paying over $140 and that did not include the price of contacts or glasses. That was just for the exam. They added for a special procedure which I have never paid for elsewhere, for premium contact fitting, which I have never paid elsewhere, and who knows what else. No one could really explain why it was so high, and why my daughter's was $10 more than mine. My husband went to another doctor, a highly recommend ophthalmologist, his payment for everything was $30. Same exam, same insurance. Inland Eye Specialists could only explain by saying "That's what we charge? I don't know what other doctors charge ". Still no answers as to why there was well over $100 difference for each of our exams. At least some of the staff was pleasant. read more

Appointment time was at 2pm. They took me back at 2:40. I do not know what has changed here but the last couple of appointments there is a longer than the usual 5-10 min wait. My bill was 99.00 I gave them a 100.00 after waiting 10 mins they came out and asked if I had a card due to they did not have change! The staff is friendly and the location is convenient. I really like the doctors here and it's close to my house but the front office staff is awful! They lack customer service skills and they don't seem to understand insurance benefits. This office is mismanaged and the office staff are extremely rude. I have been going here for several years and the staff was ok at first but they got exponentially worse. The call center staff are rude as well and you have to wait on hold for 20 plus minutes to get one on the line then another 20 minutes to schedule you once they are on the line. It's very evident that these people hate their jobs and the patients. read more

Terrible experience with ophthalmology to say the least. Firstly, the clinic has a major issue with their policies. My wife was turned away for being late for her first appointment, which she wasn't. Apparently the doctor or the specialist operates across several offices and couldn't wait for my wife to arrive, even though we arrived within the timeframe noted inside of the office (she arrived @ 10:53 AM; the appointment was at 10:45 AM). After being turned away, which is not something we were told could happen over the phone when we scheduled the consultation, she was able to reschedule for a 2:00 PM appointment that same day. We arrived early this time, @ 1:40 PM, only to see the doctor @ 2:52 PM, more than an hour after arriving. She walked into the exam room at 2:23 PM. As I understood, my wife had to sit and wait to see the good doctor for more than an entire hour, but the doctor (or his staff, whichever) can't wait 10 mins to see a client for a scheduled consult? Needless to say, it's clear to me that this clinic values their time over the patients. Secondly, the doctor and his assistants lack the knowledge to make insightful recommendations. To begin, the doctor performed a physical evaluation of my wife's affected eye WITHOUT putting on gloves, which is strange - his assistant wore gloves when doing a cursory physical inspection of her eye. After a two minute inspection that included poking and shoulder shrugging, the doctor recommended a consultation with a plastic surgeon (?). My wife then relayed to the doctor that she had visited a doctor abroad who was able to conclude that the bulge on her outer eye was nothing more than a cyst. So I'm not sure what the play is there - no need to add unnecessary cost for a out-patient procedure to remove a cyst. I had one removed several years ago, and the procedure was no longer than an hour. Ultimately, we ended up paying $117 for a "consultation", which was nothing more than confused looks - no information on her condition, nor recommendations, were offered. She didn't receive a diagnosis (apparently her doctor abroad was right?) and was then advised to make an appointment with a plastic surgeon, which wouldn't be until a month later, although the doctor's assistants told her she could see the plastic surgeon that same week. Finally, the attitude of the front desk staff is absolutely appalling. They were rude to my wife for having a hard time finding the clinic, which is hidden behind an optometrists showroom; they were rude when I asked about the previously mentioned charges, since no services were rendered (they argued that the charge was for seeing the doctor, which is considered a service); and they were insensitive to the fact that my wife is not a native English speaker and therefore had a hard time explaining herself. The sense of entitlement that I felt from the staff I cannot put into words, but suffice to say that this group of individuals feels superior to the folks that they treat. Shame on the staff for being so rigid and unwelcoming, and shame on the doctors for lacking the knowledge to advise their patients accordingly. The overall exam was great and fast! The doctor was very informative and friendly. However this review is for how long it took to get my new glasses. The whole process was a disaster. I decided to use my own frames and just get the lenses switched out and somehow they put the wrongs lenses and size in my frames and then broke my frames. So I had to pick out new ones for free which was nice however I barely just got my new glasses after a 4 week process! Took a whole month and was just frustrating. Not sure if I will use them again if I need new frames again. read more

had a pleasant visit this past weekend. first of, it was nice to be able to be seen on a saturday. the office was extremely clean and empty. I may have been the first appointment but it felt so nice to not have to sit in a crowded waiting room. exam room was nice and clean. medical assistant was professional and nice. everyone was so kind. especially the younger lady at the frame section. she was so nice and helped me select my frames that looked best on me. definitely recommend this place. :) the doctor was very professional and patient with me. helped introduce me to laser without being pushy about it but letting me know I would be a candidate if interested. read more

I was a bit scared after reading the reviews on this place, but I needed an eye appointment desperately because my eyes have been driving me nuts for weeks. They got me in next day! I came in at 2:15 for my 2:30 appointment, sat down and did paperwork until 2:35 as I was a new patient. Read for about 2 minutes before they called me in for an extremely thorough eye exam. The doctor didn't hesitate to tell me that my vision was pretty good and while I could get a mild prescription I also could probably live without it if I wanted to just suffer a bit (I plan on redeeming it because its worth it, but it's good to know I'm not going to get worse if I don't use them). No upselling or drama. He said I could redeem the prescription for glasses up front at their shop or pursue alternate avenues if I wanted, very laid back guy. I think it was Dr. Brown! He was super understanding and patient as I hadn't had an eye exam in years and was slightly confused at some instructions. I went back out and sat down right away with a lens specialist who said I could get glasses there per doc's recommendations for a price that was a bit high for me, she was completely understanding and we both chatted about our favorite books before parting ways. No rude or incompetent staff as other reviewers mentioned that I noticed. Overall a good experience and I was done in an hour! I would return for sure. read more

No rating,! Insurance Fraud suspected. Had my eye examination ONLY at Inland Eye Specialists in Fallbrook. I took my Prescription elsewhere because Inland Eye Specialist glasses and frames were off the chart expensive and that was with Vision Insurance. When I went to get my frames and glasses at another store my Insurance was denied because Inland Eye had billed my Insurance for GLASSES, FRAMES, AND EXAM!! Therefore, I did not qualify for glasses or frames for another two years. I was in desperate need for my glasses and wound up paying $300.00 out of pocket. Oh, and by the way did I mention that I am a 73 year old Senior Citizen? Inland Eye is avoiding my phone calls also. I don't know where to turn for help. read more

The eye exam and initial purchase I made of a pair of Rx Sunglasses and a pair of regular glasses was fine through insurance, however without insurance it would have been a toral ripoff. Fast forward to a couple of months after purchasing my glasses; my toddler snapped one of the arms off of my daily vision glasses. No big deal, Right? I figured I would just order a replacement pair online through one of those online discount eyeglass sites since I had already had an exam and a copy of my Rx. I came to find out my pupillary distance was not included in my Rx paperwork. My husband had his exam done at Lens Crafters and they were more than happy to give him his pupillary distance so I assumed Inland Eye would do the same for me. Of course, I was sorely mistaken. When I called in the woman who answered quite rudely told me "we don't give that out here" but If I really wanted it I could come in and pay an additional fee to get it (after spending $300+ on glasses there already even after insurance). They basically hold people's pupillary distance hostage to try and force people to only go to there for their glasses(I understand they're trying to make money). To make a long story short, I went into the Costco vision center and a very nice woman gave me my pupillary distance measurement in under 30 seconds without batting an eye or charging a fee and I'll never return to Inland Eye even with insurance. read more

Horrible experience with Dr Benjamin cahoon. Poor bedside manner unfriendly very arrogant....arrived late to the appointment. His medical assistant is unfriendly doesn't smile. It's all about money for them. Apparently they don't care my experience was terrible...would I recommend him not a chance. I don't recommend unfriendly unprofessional Dr cahoon. U can have a degree but when your bed side manner is poor towards clients who are not Caucasian it tells a whole lot about the integrity of that individual. read more
