I knew Providence had a policy about being billed for anything "outside the scope" of a well check, so I intentionally kept it brief and on-topic. Despite this, I was billed for two visits. The clinic said I went beyond the scope of the well check--but couldn't explain what that scope is or what I did that triggered the second charge. They also refused to define what is included in a well check at all. The appointment itself was completely scripted. I wasn't invited to speak, ask, or engage. It was cold, rushed, and impersonal. Providence's policy of not allowing questions, labs, or refills during a well check is not only inconvenient--it's inhumane. It reduces care to a checklist and leaves no space for real preventive medicine or meaningful connection with your provider. Patients deserve clarity, respect, and ethical billing practices. I received none of those things.

The staff is consistently friendly; I know they're always doing their best to help patients in an efficient & thorough way. Having kindness & patience towards them goes a long way, & goodness knows they deserve it. They are very thorough with any testing, x-rays & the like. I always find they take time to answer any questions, & I appreciate they make sure not only to address my concerns but also make sure I understand how to go forward & what is going on. I truly appreciate all the medical staff here, they have really had my back time and time again.

I was brought to this emergency department by ambulance because I was extremely sick and weak. I arrived on a gurney and was brought through the ER, only to then be taken back out to the front waiting area. I was told to get off the gurney and stand in line because there was no room, despite the fact that I was struggling to even stand. Being that sick, arriving by ambulance, and then being expected to stand in line was frightening and made me feel incredibly vulnerable. The entire department appeared severely overwhelmed. While I was there, I witnessed a visibly ill patient lying on the floor near the restroom doors vomiting what appeared to be blood because the restrooms were occupied. I do not know her circumstances or how long she had been there, and I do not want to make assumptions about her medical care. However, witnessing someone in that condition in a public area raised serious concerns for me about patient safety, dignity, and hygiene. I also personally witnessed multiple patients who were in pain become frustrated enough with the wait that they signed releases and left the emergency department to seek care at a nearby urgent care instead. I think it is important to mention that I worked in healthcare for nearly 15 years. I understand that emergency departments become overcrowded, resources can be stretched thin, and patients must be triaged according to medical urgency. I also understand that arriving by ambulance does not automatically mean someone should receive treatment before a more critically ill patient. That is not my complaint. Even with my healthcare background and understanding of how busy emergency departments can become, I have never personally witnessed operations like what I experienced that day. That is what made this so alarming. What concerns me most is the possibility of a patient with a truly time-sensitive medical emergency being overlooked or not addressed appropriately when the department is operating under conditions like these. My concern goes far beyond my own wait or discomfort. I left genuinely fearful about whether seriously ill patients were being adequately assessed, monitored, and cared for. I am not sharing this to be vindictive or to attack individual healthcare workers. I am sharing it because the experience was genuinely frightening, and I believe what I witnessed deserves to be taken seriously. Being confused by this I asked what would had happened if I showed up for the appointment that had previously been scheduled and confirmed and I was told they would have just turned us away the day of the appointment. I found the staff to be very dry, rude, and uncaring about a situation they had caused...their advice was to call my insurance company...they gave no recommendations for other practices or ways to get help for my daughter who needs to see a dr sooner vs later...and now we have to start the process over...which can take up to a month The next day my husband went back to the office to speak to someone and clarify what happened...they had closed early based on hours posted on the internet...Their website says 5:00, their Google info also says 5:00, (it was 4:45)...my husband also noted the hours were not posted on the door. Furthermore, I called the office twice before this happened, and they never returned either call and she is still currently listed on our insurance website as accepting new patients.

Dr. Costa took the time to listen to my concerns, and addressed them in detail. His team is highly trained, and it was one of the most pleasant and low stress doctors visits I've had. Only once I got there, it would not let me see the bill until I provided my account number. But since I had not received a bill, I did not have it. I spent way more time than I care to trying to see the bill so I could pay it. The only place on the site I could go was the place to enter my payment info. No problem paying, just a problem seeing what I was paying. Frustrating. I would have given them 5 stars...but either the website needs to be changed or the voice mail does.

Even though this clinic is the closest option for me to get the treatment I need I'm going out of way / traveling farther to receive better care. Save yourself the grief and go anywhere else before going to the clinic. They are truly thr bottom of the barrel in terms of health care service.
