The main focus is now on money not the patient. They now collect the coinsurance at the visit and no longer bill you. Not to mention most of the doctors left upon the take over or soon after retired. This is not the place you want to go through cancer treatment. There is no feeling of care just a feeling of being herded in and herded out. Very disappointing.

As VA did not have facilities to treat this ailment, they opted to send me out for treatment. After my primary physician requested treatment, the community care center contacted me and offered various facilities for me to choose from for my treatment. Summit was recommended by a friend and also was on the VA's list so I chose them. This started in September and my treatment was completed on Dec 6th. Part of the delay's that occurred were due to VA changing procedures and partly due to Thanksgiving holiday preventing continuous treatment for the 5 days in a row needed for Cyberknife procedure. I cannot say enough nice things about how I was treated and how helpful the staff at Summit was during my entire procedure. If you have a choice in treating cancer, I can recommend Summit if you have a choice. They will do everything possible for you.

Kvinna Breast Care + Imaging - Kvinna Clinic

Kvinna Breast Care + Imaging

This clinic has a serene, comfortable physical environment. Beyond that, this is one of the worst…read moreexperiences I have ever had. After my scans, Brianna at Kvinna contacted me to say that I had two masses in my left breast that were very concerning and required biopsies. I got an appointment at a hospital breast center for a 3-D mammogram on both breasts and a sonogram on the left breast, expecting surgeries to biopsy two masses. There were no masses visible in either breast. The radiologist from the hospital called me immediately after my scans to say that she had noticed that the scans from Kvinna were mis-labeled (left labeled as right and vice versa), so I should return for a sonogram of the right breast. I returned immediately for a scan of the right breast, which also showed no masses. When I contacted Kvinna about the mis-labeling mistake and the fact that no masses showed up, Brianna checked with the radiologist and said that the pictures were, indeed, mis-labeled and that someone two weeks earlier had also had her scans mis-labeled at Kvinna. When I asked why the masses were no longer there, I was told that one may have resolved on its own in the 10 days between scans, but that the other one was a problem, and I should have it biopsied. No one will biopsy a mass that cannot be detected. Kvinna caused me a very worrisome few weeks and did nothing to make amends for their mistakes. I recommend staying far away from this clinic which will happily take your money and scare the daylights out of you, while admitting that they have made mistakes in your case and previous ones. The peaceful office environment is of little worth when you needlessly spend the next few weeks scared and organizing new scans only to find out that you have no problem.

And because more than 47% of women have dense breast tissue (many without knowing it), cancer can slip by undetected. Many of us need better screening. Automated Whole Breast Ultrasound can help. I showed up about a half hour early and they also got me in early which was nice. Every staff person I came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Step by step instructions were clear. The contrast portion of the procedure was not as painful as the one I had 15 years ago and the Dr made it go quickly. The MRI was easy and they also offer headphones if you need that. Otherwise, this was a claustrophobic experience made easy.

Firstly, the front desk staff (Lindsey) was one of the most unwelcoming and dry front desk staff I have encountered. Honestly the front desk staff are indeed the first impression and the face of the company. In this scenario I felt like my appointment was an inconvenience to her and she didn't want to be bothered. The technologist was nice enough. Had I not been in imagining myself I would have been lost as what to do. No really directions, explanations or history taking. Pretty sure it took about 1 minute total from the time I entered the room to the time they exited to start the scan. Lastly, not being able to get a CD of my images (didn't need report) was a huge inconvenience. I have a second opinion on the west side and wanted the CD to take with me.
