This is a great place for all your pet needs. They are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I had trouble finding the right food for my picky standard poodle, who needed to put on a little weight. I even brought back a bag that he didn't like and they let my try a different flavor! Apparently he doesn't like anything too fancy and settled for a good chicken variety. I was so pleasantly surprised by this store, and saved so much money! If you are a "do-it-yourself" type of person with your pets, and looking to save a ton of money, this is your place! There are always sales going on, they have specific specials on certain days of the week. The service here is beyond excellent, and the employees here knew by far more than anyone I had ever encountered at a typical pet supply. A special shout out to Sara, who's knowledge helped us find exactly what we needed for our pets in regards to shots, medications, food, and treats! She was so knowledgeable and caring, and gave examples of experiences she'd had with her own pets and what worked for them. The name can be somewhat misleading because you do not need to be a vet to shop here, there is a good selection of dog, cat and horse food (even more for other livestock I believe), and they try to either beat or match competitors in the area. This store has most of what you would find in your typical pet supply store; food, treats, leashes, collars, toys, etc. There are also many shots and medications available for your pet that can save you a bunch of money! Local breeders often come here to save money on getting medication for litters of puppies. A friend of mine always comes in for shots for his pets (which he has to administer himself), and pays just a fraction of what you would at the vet. For a dosage of bordetalla (which had to be taken through the nose) we paid around $6 compared to around $25 at the vet. They also have syringes available. Medication for just one dog 110lbs for Giardia at the vet is $120, I was able to get medication for 2 dogs (110lbs each) for just $70 with medication to spare. The trick is, on certain things, the medication is not necessarily meant for a specific type of animal, but the active ingredient is the exact same. The employees are not allowed to give dosage amounts for your pet, but you can easily Google it if you know the weight of your pet and buy accordingly. I have used this place before to get the required vaccines for a puppy. This time around I came in to get what I needed and the woman who was helping me was unable to clearly communicate what I needed and what they had to get me there despite them having a pamphlet on vaccine schedules. Apparently, they have the pamphlet that they give people, but they recommend you do it another way. She was unable to communicate what this other way is, and what I should get to do it that way. To top it off, they were also out of some of the options. Total waste of time. Service desk really needs to work on clear communication. read more

Always very helpful and knowledgable. I have saved hundreds if not thousands on vet bills and the constant upsell that comes along with it. Lots of great supplies to choose from that you will not find at your mainstream pet retailers. The thing I have to admit that is best about this place is a lady who has been working there for years. She is very helpful owns numerous pets and actually breeds llamas . She has already helped me remedy a few things going on with my German Sheperd and her advice is always welcome. I have lived in this area for nearly a decade, and most recently went here for some products for my dogs. What great people working here- with great advice, knowledge and customer service. You can find some really great- hard to find products here that work outstanding for your pets, and it won't break the bank. Honestly, I wish I had known about this establishment before, it probably would have saved me lots of money. Great place of business, great prices and products, and great customer service. I went into the store today to see if they could exchange a fly mask I had bought. I had the unused fly mask and the receipt and I was talking with the girl at the front (who was super nice) that it was over 30 days and the reason I hadn't been able to get up to Temecula sooner was that I had moved down to Imperial Beach. The girl said she had to go in the back and ask the manager. She came out and said that they usually do not allow that but this time it would be ok. I thanked her and went to the back of the store to see if I could find a bigger fly mask. As I was looking I could hear the two store employees in the back saying awful things like "is it my problem that you moved so far away" and "maybe you shouldn't have moved to Mexico" and all sorts of rude and inappropriate comments that no one should ever say and I will not repeat. I am completely shocked and as a leader and store manager - WOW! I am EXTREMELY OFFENDED and will NEVER SHOP THERE AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND anyone to go there again. I did previously live in Temecula and spent a LOT of money there and I still know a LOT of horse people in the area. This was so offensive and unnecessary!!! read more

Love the prices and the people! The name of the store is misleading. I had seen it several times and thought it sold pet medications. I found out that it is a horse feed and supply store after a fellow horse owner friend told me. The prices are worth the 40 minute drive to get there. read more
