I was driving the back road to my destination and saw the lighted sign and pulled in. Someone has asked for a Crested geckos for Christmas and I figured I'd stop in to get a feel for the cost of a whole set up. The event was organized with about a dozen tents, plus they had food and drinks available. A fun time. The owners had a seperate table/tent with an exhibit of dinosaurs. They know their reptiles top to bottom, and their are nothing short of experts at at tarantulas. I've bought several tarantulas there, and all in great health, and doing well. My son has a leopard gecko and a bearded dragon. I had been spending a lot of money at pets mart and petco buying them food, accessories and other things. Until I found the reptile shop. They have a large selection of reptiles and anything you can need for them from food to enclosure accessories. I have been spending less than half of what I was on purchasing meal worms and crickets, they have a large variety on the reptile feeders. We have been coming to this store for 6 years now. They have a great selection of feeders for reptiles and good selection of products. I'm greeted as soon as I walk through the door about 90% of the time and they always ask if I need assistance when they are not having a busy day. I rarely write reviews, but since I saw a recent one that was negative, I felt compelled to write one. Yelp is problematic at best. Reviews are not verified and business owners can do almost nothing to remove a bad or fake review. I saw a review by "Brein B." from June 26, 2025 and just had to respond. I'm not sure what store s/he visited, but I was in the Reptile Shop on the 26th and saw employees topping off water bowls while I was there. Furthermore, if "this place used to be awesome" as this reviewer states, why only a negative review? Where is the positive one from when it "used to be awesome." Makes me question the validity of this review altogether. For the record, this shop is bar-none one of the best reptile shops in all of Southern California, and I have been in the hobby longer than many enthusiasts have been alive (I remember when it was legal to sell Caimans in California and the only dart frogs and red-knee tarantulas were wild collected). Look at the overwhelmingly positive reviews or stop by the store - you'll see what is true. read more

I absolutely love this reptile shop. My family and I always have a great time going here. It's always a great experience. We always love seeing what new animals they're adopting out. The guys here are always super helpful and friendly. They're always super nice to my kids. I love that! It's also super clean, which is hard to accomplish, with a lot of exotic animals. So, that's a huge plus. With some exotic animal stores, I feel like I have to check my morals at the door. Here I don't have to do that, so that too is great. We left with our adorable corn snake - a Ghost Motley, whom we named Crüe. She is so tame and friendly, and the perfect starter snake. The kids look forward to going each week to pick up her food. I have a new pet lizard, and I went to The Reptile Shop for the first time today. I came away really bothered by the condition of the cages and the way they are housing some of their lizards. In almost every cage that contained a lizard or tortoise (I didn't look at the snakes), the bottom of the cage had poop all over it and the water in the water bowls was filthy. It looked like the cages hadn't been cleaned in a week, or the water bowls changed out. In addition, they are keeping lizards in small plastic containers in a "cubbies-like" shelf behind the cash register. The container I saw was about 8-9 inches long and probably 5-6 inches wide. The lizard was almost as long as the container. I watched as an employee pulled out one of the containers, and I didn't see any water or food available to the lizard. The employees were friendly, and there had a good selection of animals, but I was really turned off by their treatment of the animals. :( I will not be back. read more

I got my class pet, a Bearded Dragon, here and the owner came and delivered it to my classroom and did a whole lesson as well as brought a python for them to see and touch too! Let's start off by saying this place is clean and above else values their customers. I'd rather drive the 30+ minutes to this place than go to LLL. I walked in simply looking for a super Mack snow and my wife and I walked out with 5 + geckos. Now you could say they made the sale but no they sat there with us past closing time; educating and actually treating their customers like human beings. Friendly staff , knowledgeable and above all else PATIENT. They weren't trying to rush us out the door and as I said before their patience was rewarded. We respect the employees and it made us want to come back. This rating is a 5 Star but their service is above and beyond . 10/10 will and would recommend to other reptile hobbyist. Tons of bugs with no lids on them. Animals in cages look barely healthy. Smelled worse than any reptile shop ive ever been in. Employees give the shittiest vibes. I bought frozen rats and the faces on the rats are all bloody which means they kill their feeders in a cruel and rushed manner. Feeder rats seem to fed very poor nutrition. Was very excited to find larger rats for my snakes but these are horrific to even look at. When thawing theres just pools of blood.... read more

NEVER come to this place. They sell SICK ANIMALS.Drove and hour and a half for their service on my snake to see if they could help me for selling me a sick one. Came for nothing and ended up empty handed. And it doesn't help the business when the manager has a butt plug on when helping customers by being utterly disrespectful and acting hard towards customers who drive a great distance for their service. Not to mention, it smells god awful in this store. Like something died and I wouldn't be surprised if anything did.
