I love Susan at Sitting Pretty! Not only do they have the best prices in the area, but also treat our dog with so much love. We have a big, fuzzy Goldendoodle and he comes out so soft and fluffy every time with a beautiful coat. Susan and her husband work together and both are very easy going and nice people. What I love the most is that they are always available for last minute appointments. We have left our dog here for Pet sitting as well, and our dog Boogie loves it because it's like day camp. Instead of being locked in a cage all day like other places, he gets to roam their huge yard and play with the other dogs. If I were you, I'd definitely try them out!!

Not sure if the business is still open, but they never returned my call to them, even though the recording on their phone answered with the name of their business & to leave a message. Plus, they have have a Facebook page, and I left a message for them, which was never answered either. Even if their not in business anymore, they should at least have the decency to answer a message. read more

I love Susan at Sitting Pretty! Not only do they have the best prices in the area, but also treat our dog with so much love. Wow I'm so lucky and happy to have found Jeff & Susan It's been extremely challenging for me to find a groomer that has the skill talent and patience to work on my baby Lucky - she's a standard poodle 11 months old and a little unruly After going to all the petcos, petsmart etc and never getting what we ask for , paying ridiculous prices and lucky being stressed out the entire time I almost lost hope and was going to just start shaving her myself( mind you the whole reason we got a poodle was to do fun designer cuts and styles) I came across this little mom & pop shop 3xs I have came here and every time I leave happy satisfied & best of all Lucky looks amazing! Made a appointment a week and a half ahead for we could have our dogs groomed on a Saturday. Appointment at 10am and we showed up with both our dogs Snowball (pure white American eskimo/Pomeranian) and Sparky (Jack Russell mix). We only dropped off Snowball because Susan seemed real scared of the dogs and nervous. (YOUR ADVERTISE PROFESSIONAL GROOMER and your nervous of two small dogs?) PETCO has groomed them both many times and they always do well, never have any problem at the Vets office either. So this is where it gets good, my wife offers to stay and help to show Susan Snowball is nice and all so get her comfortable with the dog, "no no, come back after 12 and Snowball will be ready" So we left, took the other dog home and waited. Showed up at 12:30 and she never touched the dog. "oh I'm scared it might bite me" HOW ABOUT A PHONE CALL? HOW ABOUT TAKING MY WIFE'S OFFER TO STAY? HOW ABOUT JUST SAYING NO WHEN WE GOT THERE? No, let's waste half our Saturday instead dealing with Susan that doesn't want to groom dogs unless they come out of the car licking and kissing her. My suggestion if you are a new customer stay away! I think she might have enough clients and if your dog is just being a NORMAL dog acting a little hesitate, she doesn't want it! It's to bad, we live close and tip well. We'll keep going to PETCO, the problem is it's hit and miss with them. Sometimes they do a great job and sometimes they don't. BUT THEY NEVER WASTE OUR TIME OR GIVE ME OUR DOGS BACK DIRTIER THEN WHEN WE DROP THEM OFF! read more

I finally found a dog groomer who I trust and does such a great job. Susan and her husband are so wonderful with my dog. They are so gentle with him and they groom him so perfectly and he's always so clean and happy when I come to pick him up. They are very detailed with their work. I love sitting pretty. I have two, 4 pound Maltese, who are VERY squirmy, and cant go in cages, because they are spoiled rotten, and Suzy lets me stay with my babies while they get groomed, and she always cuts them how I want her to, even if I find a new look I want to try out, she is always game. And when I dont get my pups groomed on time, and they are a mess, shes a total lifesaver.Did I mention how reasonably priced she is? These groomers around here are crazy. They want more for a groom than I pay to get my OWN hair cut at an upper class salon! My fur babies definitely would tell you to try them out. read more

I met Susan and Jeff bringing over my Coltrane who sired Golden Doodles. They kept him a week and he was entralled! I've brought him several times since for medium term dog boarding (from 1 to 3 weeks) and they always take awesome care of him. A place with a heart! read more

Established in 2011.

Before our careers got started. My husband and I had worked in the hospitality industry for many years and knew we enjoyed working with people, but wanted to explore a career working with animals. And so I did while my husband was still in the hospitality field. Well after the big down turn in the economy and the unexpected adoption of our Grand Child we knew we had to make some changes. After reflecting what strengths we had and a large local market that is severally under served. It was time to go out on our own; know matter what it took to do so, and thank this beautiful community for there patronage and support we couldn't do it with out them. With a can do attitude we will do what ever it takes to win you and your beloved canine over.

Meet the Business Owner: Susan L.

Susan has always been an out going loving people person and animal lover with a big smile and warm hart. She started working for the Hyatt in Chicago as a Concierge, and than transferred to San Francisco, work, Monterrey California for a few years and than opened up the Hyatt Regency in La Jolla in 1989 where She met her Husband. Susan has a Son who is 29 and a daughter who is 27 along with her newly adopted son who is 3. After working in the hospitality business for 20 plus years it was time to reinvent her self. She wanted to follow her passion for dogs and stopped in to a local pet smart where she was hired on the spot as a dog trainer from there she worked at petco and then moved on to grooming where she worked for several local grooming shops until she decided it was time to work for her self.

During an already traumatic and emotional situation, we trusted this clinic to provide the best possible care and ended up paying upwards towards $5,000 for treatment. Unfortunately, the suturing was done very poorly, and we were concerned about how his wounds were healing. We decided to seek a second opinion elsewhere, and the other veterinarian confirmed our concerns and provided proper treatment. Since then, Romeo has healed well. No pet owner expects perfection, especially in an emergency, but we do expect competent care that matches the cost of treatment. Spending thousands of dollars only to have to seek corrective care elsewhere was heartbreaking and frustrating. I wanted to come here and write about my experience adopting from FOCHP…read more My first contacts with them was with Sandra, the foster mom for my Gracie (Snowball) There are not enough words to describe how kind, helpful and gracious she was with everything. I went the day after Christmas to do my meet and greet and spent an hour with her asking questions. I never felt rushed. I never felt like I was irritating her, she was just fabulous. Everything this rescue does seems to be top-notch. They even feed a high and more expensive food which completely impressed me because puppy nutrition is so important. If I could give this review more than five stars, I would. Everything went smoothly, everyone I talked to or texted was so helpful I could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you FOCHP!

They seem like a compassionate rescue until you try and adopt a dog. I understand that matching…read moreanimals with families can be a complicated process to make sure it's a good fit, but when you're discriminated against because of your age, it really can leave a mark on your reputation.

I have had the pleasure of using her services, first-hand witnessed the extra ordinary measures she took to save my pets life. I do not understand the negative reviews. Tonia G posted twice with same issue, which seems more punitive and personal. Another post that the services were too expensive and could not afford to use My Pet Ambulance after paying her vet bill. Leaving a 1 star review because you cannot afford the services sounds like a you problem. These services cost money and are not a cheap Uber style ride, this is a professional ambulance, critical care company. Do not let these negative reviews influence saving your pets life!!
