Both doctors were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and compassionate while developing care plans and treating my bunnies. The staff was also friendly and helpful. For context, my bunnies have been sick for a while (requiring several visits). While at first, I was worried about the pricing of the hospital treatment and switching to a new hospital, I quickly realized my bunnies were in good hands. This gave me peace of mind and made every penny worth it. It might sound silly, but my bunnies are my entire world and I'm sure most people consider their pet to be a part of the family (mine 100% are). After many forms of treatment, I am happy to say that my bunnies are doing a whole lot better now!!! I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone in a similar situation :) read more

3 Strikes your out! SCAM SCAM SCAM I first brought my pup to this vet November of last year. We just moved to the area and my pup was experiencing a bad ear infection. They charged me more than $1,200 to clean and run tests. During the cleaning the vet was informing me of medication that would help with my pup's seasonal allergies which was around $500 a month. I am not exaggerating at all. They pushed it until I told them that my wife was gonna give birth any day now & I didn't want to commit it so soon. Two weeks later we came back to the vet for a check- up and they insisted that my pup start his $500 a month medication. I declined it at the time and wanted to do my own research before agreeing to the medication. Another week passed and a more budget friendly medication was mentioned. We agreed and went to the vet to pick up a monthly dosage. When my wife arrived to the front desk to pick up the medication the staff was a little confused on which medication was ordered. When my wife mentioned the name of the medication, the staff automatically said that " your husband denied it initially because you couldn't afford it." Totally uncalled for and unprofessional. We were upset at comment but decided to brush off and continue to go to the vet since we were new to the area. I wonder why they never mentioned this from the start and why the expensive medication was the only option at first? We go to the vet once a month to pick up our pups medication and would call 3-4 days ahead before he runs out for a refill. Earlier this week I called the vet to ask for a refill and mentioned that my pup had 3 days left of medication. They said they would speak to the vet for approval for the refill. They called me back and mentioned that my pup has not had a bi-annual exam and unfortunately they cannot refill his prescription without one. They did not have any appointment left for the week and the next available appointment would be two saturdays from now. Note, I called on a Monday.. The staff kept mentioning that my pups bi-annual exam was overdue a couple months now.. ok, why am I only knowing this now when I come monthly to pick up his medication? Why can't I get a refill until his next appointment? So this tells me that you would rather have my pups medication run out just so you make sure I schedule an exam for a little extra $$? Enough is enough. I am highly disappointed and would not consider this vet to anyone. The experience I had shows that they care more about the money than the health of your pups. I will not be bringing my pup here anymore and will take my business elsewhere. Thanks for showing your true colors. Don't be fooled by the signs and pictures. I never write reviews, but I had to write one after my visit on the 6th of July. I brought in my bunny because she was not eating and had been acting strange. She would sit in one spot for long periods of time unmoving, and despite usually being frightened easily by others, she would stay unmoving when people came around. Her behavior combined with her lack of litter box usage, lethargic breathing, and refusing to eat made me bring her in. I heard good things from this place and could take walk-ins. I brought her in and the receptionist told me a tech would give her a quick check up to make sure she was stable. Even after telling her she has not eaten, has drank little water, and is acting strange, they deemed her stable. I was brought into a room to fill out paperwork and give them as much details about her condition as possible. I told them about how she was around 6yrs old, had some concerning pooping issues and told them all about her current condition. I signed the 500$ CPR fee on the chance they would need to resuscitate her. I did not see my bunny after handing her over for the initial check up. They updated me on her and told me that she would be seen by the vet as soon as she had time in between patients. I brought her in around 10am. She was then seen at 12pm. The vet told me that she would receive fluids for dehydration, some pain killers, and get xrays to see why her uterus was inflamed. I gave them the go ahead to do anything they needed to to ensure she would be okay. I was already uneasy because I handed her over earlier and couldn't see her while they checked on her. If that was an option, they never mentioned it. I then got a call at 1pm stating they couldn't find her heartbeat. I was 5 minutes away and drove to the hospital as quick as I could. When I got there I told them I was here for her and instead of letting me back there to see my bunny, the receptionist told me  that I had to pay the 500$ deposit first, sign my name and wait until the vet saw me. The vet came over then asked if I wanted to see my bunny, well of course I did. I started sobbing so hard when walking behind the counter that the workers and vet looked stunned at me. They moved with no haste, and looked almost as if I was being dramatic for crying. She brought me back there and then asked if they should stop CPR after 15 minutes of doing so.... 15 minutes? What was the point of asking when she clearly didn't have a heartbeat and had been not breathing when found. Who knows how long she had been without a heartbeat before they got to her. They said the tech saw her lying with her mouth open, not breathing right before starting CPR. After handing me my dead bunny and walking me into their grieving room, they didn't shut the door all the way so I was crying with the door swinging opening twice. Then a worker accidentally walked in from their second door. Not even two minutes later, holding my bunny and crying, a worker walks in with a basket talking about after care and how they offer cremation options. She asked if I wanted him cremated. Him was a she by the way. The whole visit the techs kept referring to my bunny as a he when he was a she. They did not bother to have some sort of respect for remembering her gender. So after asking me this so soon, I told them I would take her home and to bring me the carrier I brought her in. A different tech then walks in with a random carrier and not mine. Apparently they gave some person my carrier and now I was left with the other persons one. She asked if I still wanted the carrier - so my option was no carrier or a random carrier? I obviously took the carrier since there is realistically no other option. So on top of them not seeing any urgency over my bunny's health, deeming her stable when she ended up dying 3 hours later, calling her a he, seeming insincere the whole visit about even slightly caring for her or me, making me pay first before seeing my bunny who was on the table being resuscitated, then giving me little privacy, then offering me their "after care" options, they then handed me the wrong carrier. I was so upset and angry and just wanted to leave. If it was a person dead in my arms they wouldn't think twice about offering me cremation options two minutes later. I brought my bunny to a hospital because she was giving signs of needing urgent care. If I knew this would happen I would've kept her at home and let her die in my arms without all this mess and not having spent 500$ for a dead bunny who ended up dying alone. It seemed almost like they lacked care because she was a bunny and not a bigger or common animal. Because she was a bunny, they could hold off. And because she was a bunny, I looked crazy for crying over her. A part of me thinks they chose to not care over her health because of her age, the resuscitation fee, and what they can profit over "after care." read more

I'm not sure what I expected, but what I didn't want was feeling judged because it is a hamster and we were so upset about it. But that's exactly how I felt. I felt judged because this is not a cat or dog. This is not a fluffy animal that's going to interact with you. It's a sick hamster that ultimately had to be put down. But he was ours. All I'm saying is it a little compassion goes a long way and that your walls and doors are not soundproof so when you're talking about the owners we can hear you. So yeah I'm an adult crying because her daughter is about to lose her first pet and I'm super sensitive when it comes to death. A couple of weeks ago on a Sunday, my orange tabby cat got a bladder blockage which was serious. He was saved by this animal hospital and I am so grateful! These Vets are the best in the Inland Empire. The pet hospital is extremely clean and well managed. I even got follow up calls about my pet's condition a week later and I'm still getting follow up calls. Thank you for caring and always going the extra mile to save a pet. We had an emergency and our normal vet couldn't squeeze us in (again). We called South Temecula Vet Hospital and they said bring her in right away. The vet called and walked us through her recommendations. They performed surgery the same day and we were able to bring our dog home that evening. Dr. Lucas & the staff were heaven sent in a worrisome moment with my cat. No emergency vet would see my cat but Amber so generously ask the doctors and was able to squeeze me in due to the urgency of the situation. This place was a Godsend to us when our Boston Terrier had an eye ulcer which I discovered on a Saturday afternoon. The two main Emergency vets I use each had wait times of over ten hours. Thank goodness that one of my regular vets recommended this place and advised of their Sunday Urgent Care. They had me call at 8 am on Sunday, and YES! They were able to get us right in. Their prices weren't *that* much higher than my regular vet, and Dr. Ishikane was wonderful. She set up a follow up appointment with Dr A, in case my dog needed a debridement. (Spoiler alert: yes, the dog needed that procedure.) But it has healed up really nicely, and spared us the huge cost and hassle of a major eye surgery, which he needed last year in his other eye (for a much deeper ulcer). I'm beyond thrilled with this place, and I'm happy with what I consider to be fair pricing for the great service received. I feel like finding them was a true miracle. read more

Extremely unprofessional. I scheduled my cat for boarding on Friday, May 20th, and after fulfilling their vacc requirements on Monday, May 23rd I emailed them copies of all of her medical records (records sent Monday afternoon, responding to the email that they had sent me on the Friday after I set up her boarding). Thursday afternoon I received a call stating that they wouldn't be able to board my cat unless an examination was completed, less than 24hrs before I was supposed to go out of town. For some reason they thought it was acceptable to expect me to drop everything that I was doing to bring her in (which I couldn't) or complete the exam on Friday (the first appointment was 11am) before they would accept her for boarding. Not only was I already supposed to be traveling by the time of their first appointment, but that if they didn't find her condition satisfactory that they would cancel the boarding- This information was given to me LESS THAN 24HRS BEFORE HER BOARDING, when they had her records in their email since Monday afternoon. Was I upset? Absolutely. Do I feel bad for raising my voice? Zero percent. This was a complete failure on their part because they had all the information that they needed (since Monday!) and still failed to alert me that my cat needed an exam until the last possible minute when it was far too late for me to comply or find other adequate boarding. Also, after this interaction, why would your office manager Laura Lynn find it necessary to search my LinkedIn account? I have my settings so that my last name is abbreviated unless they're part of my connections, yet she was still able to find my profile regardless... So was my phone number used for this search? I can only assume that if your staff is looking at my LinkedIn account, that they're also searching for my Facebook or IG? read more

My dog needs a monthly cytopoint injection for her allergies. We just moved to Temecula so needed a new vet. We chose this one simply because they were able to schedule my dog in sooner than other places, however the injection was the most expensive than any other vet we've been to! A cytopoint shot cost $175 here! We normally pay $80-$120 at other vets. The staff were pretty friendly but due to the high costs, we will continue looking for a new vet. read more

The only reason I'm giving an extra star is because Dr. Abrahams was great. He was very knowledgeable and sympathetic when it came to my sick bearded dragon. However, the front desk is awful. Trying to get them to do anything is like pulling teeth. Charging the wrong card on file after I SPECIFICALLY told them not to and the girl was adamant that it wouldn't happen. I asked multiple times for copies of my bearded dragons ultrasound images and it seemed like it was an inconvenience because they'd have to send a medical release which is quite simple. Dr. Abrahams was kind enough to do an autopsy on my dragon to find out the cause of her issues. Once again, trying to get the results was an issue. I had to reach out twice to remind them about sending it over and I still haven't gotten it. So in all, I'm left with a $1,093 vet bill and a dead bearded dragon without a simple phone call or email explaining why. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. read more

Last month my girlfriend and I were in Temecula for a wedding, and early Sunday morning were attacked by an off leash dog that managed to grab ahold of our dog's belly and do quite a bit of damage. We are from San Diego and unfamiliar with the area, so we immediately googled local vet hospitals that were open. South Temecula Vet Hospital was the first place that we called and they told her to bring her in right away. Dr. Bonnelly assessed our dog's condition right away and told us not to worry, it wasn't as bad as it looked. She was at the Hospital for about 4 hours, during which she was sedated and had about 20 stitches put in along with a drain. We picked her up and took her home and began giving her the meds that were prescribed. We had a couple of questions in the days following, and we were able to easily communicate with the Vet office from our home in San Diego regarding her condition and status. She showed some swelling after 48 hours, and South Temecula let us bring her in at no charge. They decided we should do blood cultures, and luckily we did because they found additional bacteria that they prescribed a stronger antibiotic for. We brought her back after 11 days to have the stitches removed, and after a month she looks good as new. We are so, so thankful to South Temecula Vet Hospital, Dr. Bonnelly and the Vet Techs that made an extremely traumatic, scary, and stressful situation as painless as possible for our pup and us. Last Saturday I had to rush our flemish giant bunny to South Temecula Veterinary Hospital, because her belly was swollen and she was weak. When I got there I handed her over to one of the nurses. I was crying. They put me into a room and the nurse started asking me question about what happened. I told her that she had eaten some carpet. And she I didn't any poop sense the day before. I also let them know that we didn't have alot of money. I could make payment please help her. The doctor came in and he was concerned about Otterpop and he gave me 2 choices to choose from one woukd be to put her down and the other one was she was going to be in the hospital for 3 days. She needed an x ray and an ultrasound to se how much carpet she ate. And she would probably need surgery to remove it. But she was breathing on her own but she was in alot of discomfort. I asked the vet what would he do. And he wanted to do everything he could to fix her. The nurse brought in a estimate of how it would be and it was about $1000 and they didn't include the cost of surgery . I explained to them that my boyfriend was working and we would make payment. They said they don't take payments then they told me about pet insurance. But the doctor said i would have to have a certain credit score. And the insurance woukd pay the bil that day and I could make payments to them. I called the insurance but I woukd have to apply online. I was so upset. I told them I want her to get better and I didn't want to loose her. Then they told me I could relinquish my rights to her. Which means I give otterpop to them and they fix her. But I would not be able to get her back. I asked can u atleast tell me if she makes it. They said no. I want very happy about that. They were very cold and wouldn't let me make payments. They made me feel like I needed to decide asap. I kept telling them I didn't want to loose hee. I wanted then to help her. I decided to relinquish my rights but bugged them to please let me know if she makes it. I said please over and over. They were so mean about it. Otterpop needed help. Its now tuesday. I called yesterday to see what happened and they wouldnt tell he anything vit were more cocerened that i didnt pay them 118 for the exam they did on her and the fee for givibg her up. They were more concered about they money them my feelings. They didnt give a shit about how i felt or what inwas going through. I disagree with them i shoukd have been able to find out if she was going to be ok. But anything after that they woukd not be able to tell me. Ive been an emotional reck. And the nit know is the worset. My friend even called and went down there to see if she could get any info. They wouldnt tell her anything they said they woukd be giving any info anout Otterpop to anyone. And thats weird. I now feel like i made the wrong decision. I want her back so much. Im so sick she was more then a bunny. She went everywhere we went. She was so sweet and special. And help me through a hard time. I love her. The facility and staff are the best! I went on a Sunday morning to their urgent care because of serious worsening health concerns with my dog. I called right when they opened and was able to come in and be seen immediately! While our usual vet clinic is closed on weekends and there was long waits or no availability at other pet urgent cares in the area. The facility is large, new, and modern from what I saw and experienced. Doctor Abrahams was kind, informative, thorough, and very helpful. As a medical doctor/physician for humans myself, he answered all my questions and concerns and did all the necessary and appropriate tests for my dog. He ended up urgently referring me to a specialist vet hospital in Del Mar due to concerns of neurological issues. He even spoke directly with the specialists there, sent them his results and assessment (labs, imaging, and videos), gave me all their information, and set up the transfer at the other hospital! So everything was set to go and the staff there were expecting me even before I got to the specialty hospital. Fortunately my dog is doing so much better and we finally have some answers to her medical issues. I cant thank him or the staff enough! My experience was very negative from the start. My dog had a lipoma growing in the back of his leg. I took him in to this vet to have it removed and $1600 later. The surgical site didn't look good. I reached out with concerns about his wound opening up and bleeding. They initially dismissed my concerns saying that a little blood was normal. I sent them photos of what it looked like and I didn't get a response until the next day still giving me the run around. Finally I brought him in for them to take a look. Over the phone they said no charges. I didn't expect to pay anything, Considering this was immediately after surgery, you would think it would still be covered. They take my dog to the back and come back to tell me they're putting together an "estimate" for me with different options. Are you kidding me!? After everything I had already paid!! The second thing that came out of her mouth was "unfortunately you declined to pay for the cytology, so we don't know what we are dealing with". That's using guilt trip and scare tactics to rip you off while you're most vulnerable. Like it's my fault the wound opened up! The wound didn't open because I declined to pay for cytology! That statement was so off the wall and unnecessary. What ever the cytology showed, it wouldn't have changed course of the treatment plan. The lipoma didn't bother him one bit. I had it removed because of the location (hind leg) same reason why it probably opened up and the surgeon not doing their due diligence reinforcing the surgery properly knowing the area would be difficult to heal. The doctor never came out to talk to me or give me an explanation. All I kept hearing from the assistants was more money for this and more money for that. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Even before surgery when signing the consent, which states if my pet's heart stopped during surgery it would cost me $500 for them to attempt to perform CPR and even then they wouldn't be responsible if he didn't make it and died on the surgical table. This place is all about the money and they don't care for you or your pet. The edges of the wound had dehiscence so much making it impossible to put more stitches or staples or even keep it covered with gauze because of the location. So I get sent home with broad spectrum antibiotics and a solution to soak at home and hope for the best, because I declined to pay $150 for a wound culture that they opened up and dismissed my concerns in a timely manner. Why would I pay for a culture when it would take days to see if anything grows to ensure they are giving an antibiotic more specific to the bacteria. They also would not let me leave until I paid for the antibiotics even though I ran out the house forgetting to bring my wallet to bring him in immediately. I didn't have my wallet to pay and they wanted me to go back home and pick it up! When I live more than 30 min away dealing with a 114 lbs dog bleeding everywhere. Our pets deserve more than that! I'm responding to the comment left by this vet clinic. I was told by the doctor at this clinic that my cat's ear had to heal before a biopsy could be performed. They sent my cat off with a cone for the second time with no referral to a specialist. I called back to report that my cat's ear wasn't healing and I received no response. My next step was to take my cat to ARK, where not only was Hemmingway seen immediately, but regardless of Covid, I was able to be with my pet and talk one on one with the amazing, competent doctor who runs this clinic. The doctor at ARK immediately suspected his ear growth - and two other tumors South Temecula Clinic missed entirely, were an aggressive form of cancer. The doctor at ARK asked why my former vet clinic didn't refer me to a dermatologist. GOOD QUESTION! I was immediately referred to a dermatologist and also to Drake Clinic in SD. Unfortunately, by that time, the cancer had spread too far. After 5k in emergency care, Hemmingway suffered a series of catastrophic strokes and died in such distress and pain, I can't even describe the trauma that my family- and Hemmingway were all forced to bear. I will never forgive the careless doctors and staff at South Temecula Vetenatry Clinic. They caused the needless, devastating death of my beloved family cat, and I hope that others heed my warnings about this business and stay away - please. And just as a side note, the doctor at ARK sent me the most touching, hand-written sympathy card when he learned of Hemmingway's death. The doctors at Drake and UC Davis Clinic in SD were also amazing, caring people, who continously followed up and provided so much support in a truly devastating situation. Hemmingway was a much loved member of our family for 15 years, and I am so sorry that he had the misfortune to be treated by the South Temecula Vetenatry Clinic. read more

Review is for their Pet Hotel: Our pup stayed at their pet hotel in March 2021 for a weekend... Never again. We checked her in near closing time and prior to booking, they stressed about how she needed shots in order to stay with them. It took a few minutes for them to tell me that they can give her shots prior to her stay. So when we dropped her off and showed the receptionist which shots she was missing, we figured they would give her the shots, especially since they couldn't accept her staying there without it. When we picked her up, there was nothing on the invoice saying that she was given these shots. We also requested for them to administer her eye medication. They did not administer her eye medication because her eye looked as if she went days without her medication. It was horrible and I'm sure she was not comfortable. Another thing we noticed when we picked her up was that she was so thirsty and drank a ton of water before we left their parking lot. The food bag that we provided for her didn't look like it changed, as if they didn't feed her. When we brought her home, we noticed that she dropped in weight. She's a Yorkshire Terrier, and she's pretty small as it is, but she lost 1.5-2.0 pounds. We feel like we dropped her off, they put her in back and forgot about her all weekend. read more
