The motorcycle ride…read moreto the property was beautiful, and from the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. This family-owned retreat is truly special. Mom and her daughters, Lydia and Laura, were incredibly warm, accommodating, and attentive throughout our stay. Breakfast was included each morning, and they graciously prepared special meals for me to accommodate my dietary restrictions, which was greatly appreciated. I also highly recommend booking a massage with Lidia--she is absolutely fabulous! It was one of the highlights of our relaxing weekend. The cabin was comfortable, peaceful, and the perfect place to unwind. Everything about our stay exceeded expectations, and we can't give Penmerryl Farms enough stars. Thank you for a relaxing and memorable getaway. We look forward to returning! If you're looking for a peaceful Virginia getaway with genuine hospitality, Penmerryl Farms is a gem. Max&Mary

What a beautiful B&B farm. If you're into quiet mountain mornings, adventure biking, fishing,…read moreswimming and relaxation; this is the place to be. There is a little bit of peace to be had for everyone. It's a pet friendly b&b farm, well behaved dogs are welcomed with open arms. The hosts: Deanie, Ken, Laura and Blair are amazing. They're so warm and welcoming, full of friendly conversation and inquisitive about everyone's interests and back grounds. There is plenty of morning coffee talk and stories a plenty. It feels like extended family. This is our second stay ( we knew we had to return again after our first visit) and it was just as amazing as the first visit. I recommend this place if you're looking to disconnect from mainstream life, and media and enjoy a quiet respite. My daughter and I enjoyed walks to pet horses, dogs, and cats around the property. We cannot wait to come back again.

    ## Piney Hill Bed and Breakfast: A Perfect Shenandoah Valley Getaway (5 stars)…read more **A Dreamy Escape with Spectacular Views and Unforgettable Hospitality** My recent stay at Piney Hill Bed and Breakfast was an absolute delight. Nestled amidst rolling hills just outside of Luray, the location offered stunning panoramic views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Finding the B&B was a breeze, and upon arrival, I was immediately charmed by the property's historic character, perfectly complemented by modern amenities. **Comfort and Convenience** The room itself was a haven of comfort. The bed was incredibly inviting, and the ensuite bathroom provided everything I needed. Piney Hill truly goes the extra mile with thoughtful touches - from having spare toiletries on hand (lifesaver alert for that forgotten floss!) to individual climate control - ensuring a perfectly relaxing stay. **The Heart of Piney Hill: Hank, Wiley, and Bob** However, the heart and soul of Piney Hill lie with the wonderful innkeepers, Hank and Wiley. Their warm hospitality and engaging conversation made each breakfast a highlight. Their stories and kindness were truly heartwarming, and I found myself looking forward to these morning chats just as much as exploring the Shenandoah National Park nearby. **Breakfast Fit for Royalty** Speaking of breakfast, it was without a doubt the best food I had on my entire trip. From the melt-in-your-mouth sticky buns to the heavenly French toast and the savory sage-egg-sausage bake, each morning was a culinary delight. **A Must-Stay for Shenandoah Valley Travelers** Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a base to explore the national park, or simply a place to unwind amidst breathtaking scenery, Piney Hill Bed and Breakfast is the perfect choice. I can't recommend them enough! In fact, if you're staying nearby and can't swing a stay, I highly recommend checking out their take-out bakery. **A Fond Farewell (and a Scratch for Bob!)** Thank you, Hank and Wiley, for making my stay so special. And please give Bob the dog an extra scratch on the head for me! I can't wait to return to the Shenandoah Valley and Piney Hill in the future.

The husband-and-wife owners, along with their four wonderful boys, are building such a special place here. We paid more than $500 to rent their event area. It was advertised as a nice, renovated area WITH…read moreAC and we were told it would be cleaned before our event. We were also told the owner/event manager would be on hand for help the day of. She seemed to forget who I was after meeting with me multiple times, but no biggie. I'm sure she meets lots of people. What was really not okay was that when we showed up to set up our event, the area was NOT cleaned and there was nobody to be found. There was dust and dirt everywhere that took an hour to clean before even being able to set up, a gross dead bug graveyard in the sitting area floor, it smelled musty, and overall was just not up to the standard they advertised. The owner nor any staff showed up at any point. We were not greeted, we were not helped, and it was just kind of a "okay good luck" situation. Also, the "AC" was on 75 on a hot May day. After paying the second half of the $550 fee, I didn't hear from the event manager other than a text asking what time I'd be in. Afterwards, nobody checked on us or the space. Never even heard from them to get a "thank you for renting our space" or "I'm sorry I wasn't available today"... To pay $550, you'd expect to get what you pay for. As a local, I will NOT be renting there for any other party I host nor trying out their B&B if the service is anything like this experience has been. Next time, we'll pay $550 for a nicer place on 151.
