Loved our weekend getaway! It was our first time staying here. Rooms were updated and stylish. The coffee bar had a Nespresso machine which is always appreciated. Bathroom was large and beautiful with a lovely large shower. Valet parking was convenient and fast located right by the front entrance. The view from the room was the showstopper. You are literally right in the market and have a full view of the entire waterfront. While the view from the room was amazing, the terrace view was stunning too. The terrace is accessible to all guests, so if you opted for a city-side room, be sure to check it out. This will be our new go to spot for staycations! read more

Wow! It gets one star for it's location and views. Other than that, don't waste your money! We arrived and there was a young man behind the reception counter. There was no reception. It was about 3:15 pm. He had to check with housekeeping to see if the room was ready. No joke.....almost 45 minutes went by and housekeeping had not replied. Meanwhile, a half dozen people were greeted and given their room keys. I tried not to get upset and I said to the young man, I don't mean to sound rude but this is really disappointing. He wasn't phased. He had the personality to a wet sock. The manager was running in and out behind the counter. Nothing was happening or being communicated to me. Finally, after a very long wait we were given keys to our room. I asked about any type of breakfast or happy hour. They don't offer any of that. The room has no little refrigerator other than a cooler drawer filled with outrageously priced snacks and alcohol. Good thing we didn't have medications that needed refrigeration. There's no microwave. There's no condiments for coffee or tea. There's a Nespresso maker for those people who enjoy Nespresso. I'm not one who particularly enjoys Nespresso. There were no pods anywhere. I asked for some at the front desk and I was told that it's hidden in the room somewhere. It's Christmas not Easter and I'm not going to play hide and seek for the crappy coffee. The furnishings were modern and cold. The lack of the little niceties that are standard everywhere else aren't here. The least they could have done was provide quality customer service and not by someone who seems like they would be better off employed in a funeral home. What a great hotel right in the heart of downtown Seattle and a beautiful and well designed hotel with great port views and next to the Market Place. The port views of the ships and ferries from the 5th floor deck was an added bonus to the fact that we were literally in the center of the market place, one block from the original Starbucks, & the infamous Mac and cheese store. Wish we had more time to stay but we were overnight in & coming off our Alaskan cruise and traveling back to Miami the next morning. read more

Location is great for time around Pike's Place. Staff were friendly and room was quite nice. 4 stars because I booked a room that said "city view" but was facing a wall from another building. The bed was comfortable. Pillows were too soft. Room and hotel overall were clean! The staff was helpful and friendly. Location is perfect IF you want to be near Pikes Peak Market. The roof top area is for sitting outside and the view. There is no bar or food up there unless you bring it yourself. Overall, IF you want to be in this area of town, then this IS the hotel where you want to stay. But, it is not a large hotel, so book early if you can. read more

If you're planning to visit the Pike Place Market while staying in Seattle, this is by far the best place to spend a night or two due to the location. It's quite literally in the middle of the market, meaning you'll be within a half mile walking distance of everything there. Being able to freely go back and forth to your room (and bathroom) while visiting the Market is worth the extra price if you factor in what you might spend on Ubers or taxis if you stayed elsewhere. The staff were very nice and helpful, even offering us free bottled water upon our arrival. The rooms were very clean and had plenty of space, and the beds were comfortable. Other than the location, which was perfect, the real secret here is the rooftop bar/seating area complete with gas fireplaces. It's the perfect place to sit and chill safely while overlooking the market and with a full view of the Peugeot Sound. read more

We lived in Bell Town long ago (when we feared for dinosaur attacks) so we never stayed at the Market because we lived nearby. Since we were going to the Taste of Washington we didn't want to drive back south so we took the opportunity to stay at the Inn. Overall, I would recommend the Inn as a place to stay. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly, location is FANTASTIC, and we had an enjoyable experience. The bed was softer than I would like and the pillows way too soft for - though many like that. That's not a knock on the Inn, just a heads up! Some minor issues: We had some lights that weren't working. They weren't a big enough deal to call down and change rooms, just something to let folks know at checkout. One was the bathroom mirror light which left the bathroom slightly dark. This is a great place to spend a night or a few nights in Seattle. read more

Awe inspiring from friendly check-in to check-out. Have never stayed in an inn built into a hill before with views of the Market, the Bay, and Seattle. I stayed there for Sunday and Monday night, staying in a "partial view" (of the water) room. Very nice, spacious room with a comfortable bed. The "partial view" is through a bay window and, if seated just right, gave a legit view of the water. Added bonus: The 5th floor has an outdoor deck with a great view overlooking the market and the water. Everything was spotlessly clean, staff was very helpful. read more

I'm kind of torn on this 3-4 star but when I think about the experience I have to put it down to the Memories that stand out. First, the good; The rooms are pleasant and comfortable. You cannot beat the location in the heart of downtown Seattle. Heck one I got the rythem of the place for breakfast in the mornings i would just pop across the street to the pike place market as stuff was being delivered and before tourists, other tourists I guess, showed up and would pick up what I liked and strolled back to enjoy it in my room. Likewise pretty much everything of significance in downtown Seattle from Chinatown to the Space Needle is in walking distance. The costs in the hotel, and I don't mean the room, but meals is a bit high. When my wife and I first got there we had breakfast and a late night meal there but the prices were pretty steep leading us to look elsewhere for food and as noted about, it was pretty darn easy.-see great location. The real down side was the staff and this takes some explaining. For the here and now they were great giving directions making suggestions etc. absolutely great. but. anything that needed a plan-like a wake up call the next time or can you arrange X for tomorrow, they'd happily say 'yes' and then get it wrong. They were so unreliable in this matter, and so unapologetic that by the end of the trip I'd assumed they'd get it wrong and made alternate arrangements assuming-and proved right-they'd get it wrong-and when this includes an early wake up call because of a flight, that's pretty serious. So for location, room quality etc this would easily be four stars but the problems with the staff , and I'm not belaboring you with those, knock it down to a 3. I still have a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Returned for a family visit at Thanksgiving and continue to find the Inn providing consistent and excellent visitor attention. The service of Paul and his team in valet is attentive and aware of time issues. The front desk service of Holly and Emily is one of the best I have experienced in the hospitality industry. We spent one night at Inn at the Market. It was our second stay, unfortunately it might be our last. We snagged a water view in a king room. The room was fine, nice views, great patio area. The valet staff was GREAT! They were on it, on a very busy weekend-mother's day. That was best part of the staff interactions. Once we got situated, my husband needed to go pick up some things and I went in to get checked in. It was 3:45. Was told our room wasn't ready and probably would be a half an hour. I decided to wait in the lobby, along with several other couples apparently for THEIR rooms to be ready also. I got bored after being in the car all day and opted to go check out the market. Crazy busy and went back to the hotel. Got back to the lobby and husband texted was I in the room yet, nope. Sat for a few more minutes and decide to ask the front desk if our room was ready, why yes it was! Hmmm. I had called a few days before to ask for recommendations on dinner, didn't want to go the same place we usually do. No problem I was told just ask at the front desk, I did mention it was our anniversary weekend so a nice dining spot would be great. I was directed to a sandwich place, and couple other basically fast food type places........ok. Decided to order from a local Italian restaurant and have it delivered to the hotel and went down to tell the front desk when it got there to let us know. Well, that didn't happen. It sat at the front desk getting cold with no call to the room and wasn't the complete order but that's another review. I also went down later to ask bout my car getting charged as it was on our prior visit. After a blank look and was told well probably not because the garage was being remodeled and gee that's not going to happen. Kind of feel like we had the "C" squad on duty that Saturday evening. Too bad it really soured my feeling about this property and most likely won't be back. There are too many really nice places to stay in downtown Seattle. read more

Had a great stay night before our Alaskan cruise at the inn at the market. Perched right above Pikes market and the Seattle waterfront the inn not only delivered on location and views but on service and comfort. Nice large room with a water view, clean comfortable bed with quality sheets, mini bar with snacks and drinks and a huge bathroom with a gigantic walk in shower. Also definitely worth mentioning is a spacious rooftop padio with many gas fire pits and comfortable chairs and couches and spectacular views of the surrounding area. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Perfectly located in pikes market, you can walk everywhere. It's on the same block at Beechers, which was heavenly because their Mac and cheese is to die for. Anyway, these hotel rooms are extremely clean and spacious. It fit our family of five wonderfully. We never heard neighbors once; the rooms are very quiet. The employees went above and beyond in helping us. We were a last minute check in due to our Airbnb falling through, and the Inn at the market workers were amazing in accommodating us; so kind and helpful...especially Spencer. He did way more than his job description that's for sure. Shout out to Spencer. We'd stay here again in no doubt. read more

Location is what makes this hotel a great place. I have been here several times, and every time is is just fantastic. The rooms are big and the beds are super comfy/fluffy. The Pike Place is just steps away. The staff is friendly and informative and they gave me great recommendations for restaurants close by. Convenient location but disappointing hospitality experience. Room was not ready for check in at 4 pm. Employees were completely apathetic regarding the delay. Service overall during my 4-day stay could have been better. What you must know is you are essentially only paying for the location. There is absolutely nothing that stands out about the rooms that sets them apart from any mid-range hotel. I suppose I was expecting a higher quality feel given the price point. Perhaps it's just a sign of the times we live in that businesses have their hands out for more but provide less to the consumer. Don't be fooled by the Inn's marketing, there are other hotels nearby within very reasonable walking distance to the market. I'll try one of those next time I visit Seattle. read more

Until this past weekend, we never really stayed at boutique hotels. We always figured that we should get points towards future stairs, regardless of the hotel chain. We had our preferences, but decided that this would be a nice time to try out something new. After I stay here, I will declare that this is the favorite hotel that I have ever stayed in, anywhere in the world! As the name would suggest, it's located in Pike Place market. We were very excited that we got to have the car valet parked, not because of what valet parking is, but rather because we were able to drive down Pine Street and legally stop in front of the Inn! Pelman service was available and they quickly took our bags inside and got our car parked. Valet parking was something like $37 per night. Ridiculous, but about 50% less than most of the other places in town, so it felt more like a deal then a pillaging. Chicken was very easy, and they quickly got us up to our room. The lobby is warm and inviting, with a fireplace, a couple of large couches, and a Starbucks coffee machine. We ended up in a room with a partial Waterview, and it was phenomenal. You can see the market below, the water in front of you, and many of the Seattle waterfront sites. We had a very nice sunrise the next morning, and when I went outside to the patio, I could see that literally everybody on the water side of the hotel was enjoying it. This also gave me insight into the fact that there is no reflective glass on the windows, to make sure you take that into consideration. Even if you're an exhibitionist, I'm not totally interested in watching you hang out in your birthday suit. The bed was very comfortable, there was extra seating within the room, a good sized TV, and a versatile bathroom with a nice shower and plenty of space for my best half to get ready! Check out time was noon, but they allowed us to extend it to 1 o'clock, which was lovely! This was far and away the most memorable stay we've had anywhere in Seattle. We started talking about how we need to try and get this room any time we come back to town and should probably do so quarterly! If you have the chance, you should go out of your way to stay here! read more

A friend gave us a gift certificate to this hotel and highly recommended it, so we booked a room for this past Memorial Day weekend. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Pike Place Market. It was nice to be able to go in and out throughout the day after touring. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the rooftop lounge area on the 5th floor. At the end of the day, we sat by the fire and enjoyed the great view of the Elliot Bay waterfront on Puget Sound. The staff at the Inn were superb! Three of which I took notice, Brenda & Katie at the Front Desk, and an Asian Valet Attendant (didn't get his name). Every time we went in the lobby, he greeted us with a big smile and asked if he could be of assistance. I remember Brenda from a year ago when I booked a room (but had to cancel due to illness). She mentioned the "Sunday Funday Package" which included a discounted room rate, complimentary valet parking for Sun-Tues stay. I made a note of all the great info she provided, as well as her name. She was the nicest rep that I have ever dealt with when booking a hotel. She was so helpful and informative, and not one bit annoyed with all of my questions. I was pleasantly surprised to see her at the Front Desk and finally meet her. Katie was also there, and she kindly applied my GC, as well as accommodate our request for a late checkout. We had a fabulous stay and plan to return in the future. We will highly recommend to all of our friends and family. Our friend's recommendation was spot on, what a gem! read more

Not only is this a charming, romantic hotel, but the staff is top-notch. Location, location, location! Just feet from Pike Place Market, you're in the middle of all the action. Cute courtyard area, outdoor deck with several firepits on the 6th floor, mini fridge in the room, luxurious bathrobes and the bed is heavenly comfortable - like being hugged by clouds! Valet parking was fast and efficient. The entire staff is attentive to even the smallest of details. We were in room 704 with a direct view of the market sign, the Wheel and the water. The bathroom was huge and beautiful. There's an in-room safe and some snacks for purchase. We're already trying to find a reason to have another date night in Seattle so we can stay here again! read more

We stayed here 1 night over Labor Day weekend for a staycation. It's in a perfect location downtown, in the center of Pike Place Market. If you're visiting from out of town it's great! You can walk down to the market, not far from shopping or light rail and stunning views. We booked a suite and it was amazing! It was a good size, comfy and had an amazing view! We wanted to stay foreverrrrr. They have a great rooftop to hangout on! Lots of tables and space for people to hangout and catch sunrise or sunset or just to chill. You are free to bring drinks up and food. If you catch sunset go a little early to get a good seat. It was pretty full when we went 1/2 hour before sunset but we easily found a table. The staff are sooooo friendly! Both front desk and valet. Overall, I would definitely come back! It was so convenient to walk down and get coffee and piroshky in the morning and come back within minutes. Same with just getting Ellenos or Beechers for snacks. The staff were all wonderful! One star off for cleanliness in the room. There were smudges on one of the mirrors and one of the sofas had hair/dust/idk what, that definitely needed vacuumed. The best part is the rooftop deck, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine in the evening with fire pits and a beautiful view of the pike place market neon sign, Ferris wheel, Mount Rainier and the bay. My husband and I stayed here 9/15-17 - I selected this hotel specifically because it was located in the market and would allow us to park the car, forget about it, and walk where we wanted. Solid choice for those purposes! When we pulled up at a busy 4p, there was no valet - I had to go in to see the ladies at the front desk who summoned him. He came promptly and was very helpful. The front desk staff was helpful and gave us instruction that the hotel's doors lock at 9p and what to do to get in after they're locked... this proved to clearly be a safety measure in a city utterly plagued by homelessness. The room we had was awesome! Views of the water and the street (we lucked out w/ a corner). There was a ton of space in the bedroom area and the bathroom was stark white and bright. The frig was cold and the Keurig worked. The loss of a star comes from the absolute worst pillows ever - it seems like such a petty thing to complain of when you walk out in the early AM to homeless men on the stoops - but for a really nice hotel surely there has to be something better. If I were returning to Seattle I would 100% stay here again - this is a great choice right in the thick of the market. read more

I don't know why this place would not get 5 stars (or 500!). While the ambiance is fairly basic (although I have heard they switch up the theme/decor often), the LOCATION and VIEWS are OUTSTANDING! We had a water view facing the market, Ferris wheel, mountains, and port. It was literally the most amazing hotel I have EVER stayed at for the views. Despite not having a restaurant attached and being expensive this hotel offers everything you would want as a tourist staying downtown Seattle. Perks: LOCATION, VIEWS, CLEAN, DECOR (basic but super comfy and spacious), STAFF (so friendly and accommodating- you can tell they enjoy working here), LOCATION, VIEWS, they offer a $15 daily pass to the nearby gym (Seattle Athletic club which I have also reviews- 5 STARS HERE AS WELL), LOCATION, VIEWS, valet, complimentary Kerug, coffee, tea, mini fridge, LOCATION and did I mention... VIEWS? Tips: EXPENSIVE (was a little disappointing when I called the first time the woman quoted me the same price for all 4 nights including NYE; however when going to book found she had mis-quoted me and the price had doubled in price for that one night...) We ended up moving hotels on NYE for this reason... pretty bummed out and wish they would have honored the original price that was quoted. That being said, the price is WELL WORTH IT to stay here any other time. Bring your own extra Kerug cups if you want coffee in your room- they charge for additional cups at $2 a pop (and they only give you two regular and two decaf). No connecting restaurant although they do offer packages with some of the restaurants in the courtyard (gift cards, etc.) We were located on the 7th floor and our water view room was excellent... I would make sure to get a room higher up so that you are not right at the rooftop deck level (not sure if there are even rooms right there but I would not be happy if I had to keep my curtains shut so people on the deck wouldn't see me!) My hubs and I give The Inn at the Market 500 stars for sure... and I will definitly be staying here many more times on our stay-cations in Seattle. One of my bucket list items was to get up and be able to go right down the Pike Place and grab coffee and b-fast before the crowds come... and that is EXACTLY what I got to do.
