Breakfast on our patio with this beautiful woman.

This is the BEST bed and breakfast I have ever stayed at! The owners are amazing, the farm is breathtaking. The room was beautiful and elegant. I'm upset about two things. 1. I didn't have a chance to get in the pool. (It looks so relaxing) 2. I didn't have a chance to go fishing ( but I will be back) Lol, my wife and I absolutely loved our experience and will be back. I wish I could give them 10 out of 10

Great place to stay . The accomodations were great the room was immaculate the bedding and pillows were top of the line . breakfast was delicious and plentiful.the farm itself historic and well kept the host Lance and Sandy went out of there way to make our stay one we'll remember.it was a great place to celebrate our 30th anniversary .glad we stayed there.

Such a bad experience here! We made a mistake and booked one of the nights on the wrong day. 1-2 days later we called back to ask to cancel one of the nights because we realized longwood gardens wasn't open. They wouldn't allow us to cancel it and charged us a full $365 as a cancelation fee! (The full amount of the room) They offered a gift certificate after we stated we didn't want that and wanted our money back, he felt he was doing us a favor, but clearly only helping himself. After being unprofessionally greeted at our car by a golf cart, I was questioned and instructed by the owner of what food and water I was bringing to our room informing me he had stocked the B&B with sufficient amounts of both (After seeing the room it only had 2 bottles of water and no snacks) I wasn't asking or expecting anything to be there anyway but why the need to tell me what I should bring? Feeling puzzled by this we got on the golf cart which he speedily raced us around the property. It was a ridiculously bumpy ride that ended in spilled luggage which he never apologized for. He showed us the room and told us it was newly remodeled. Seemed okay at first glance. The owner made a weird comment saying if the guests beside us turn off the central air conditioning, use the window air conditioner. So my comfort and air temp depends on a stranger next door? I can't count the number of bugs I killed here. I found both dead and alive bugs in the bed sheets. So many bugs on the bathroom floor, along with large spiders, etc. Yes, I understand it's the "country" and there are bugs, but I do not appreciate bugs in my sheets! The central air conditioner stopped working, we called the front desk, he did something outside and fixed it. Finally was able to shower, quickly I might add, had maybe 7 minutes of hot water. The air conditioner went out again at 2 am. We called back and the front desk told us to turn the window air conditioner on. We found it covered in mold and we told them no we would not, obviously he didn't want to fix it at 2 am. They did come and fix it, definitely seems like it happens all the time. The room was so humid and smelled like mold and mildew even with the central air running. Upon leaving we both noticed how disgusting our belongings and ourselves smelled of mold and mildew even almost a full day later. So disheartening to have wasted almost $800 on 1 night after finally taking a vacation. I defiantly feel taken advantage of and that the owners have no interest in resolving such a horrible experience. A gift certificate isn't a solution. Who would want to return to such a horrible mess? This room was nothing like it was described online, for this price I was expecting a clean room, not to smell of mildew, or be woken up at 2 am to a broken air conditioner. And just FYI there is no WiFi or cell service here.

This spot is conveniently located just minutes from Longwood Gardens. The family is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Beautiful carriage house (common area), pool, and pond on the property. They do have a tennis court and gazebo next to it for relaxing. Hackney room was clean, cute swan towels when we arrived. Bathroom was a tad small for my 6'3" husband to be comfortable in.

Stayed here for 3 nights and had a fabulous stay. Unfortunately my phone crashed and didn't save the photos I took of property and room. But let me just say this is a must! We came to town to visit friends that recently moved to Pa. so we didn't have much down time. I will definitely do the private dinner next trip in! Beautiful property, gorgeous rooms, amazing hosts and delicious breakfasts!

Not the best view for a place with a fancy name . For me it's about a view specially if there's only one window.

Property was lovely! It's April, we came for our 6 year wedding anniversary. Trees were in bloom. We picked this place because of the location, right next to Longwood Gardens. Staff were amazing. Very sweet people, they took the time to chat us up. We booked one of the suites. Wish it had a soaking tub, but that's not way I'm giving it 4 stars. The bed killed my back. The bed sheets were not the soft. I ended up in the floor for a couple hours not the best place to be on our anniversary. But I might be a stickler for beds and sheets. They had plenty of pillows to pick from. Anyhow breakfast was good. I'm vegan so I never expect much but my husband liked his and he had some fresh cookies for a snack later in the day. It was nice they had coffee and snacks out. Would I come back? Yes but with my own bed sheets and maybe a bed topper :p

If you're visiting Longwood Gardens, you should definitely stay at this inn! The innkeeper, Lance, is so kind and accommodating. Our room, the English Garden suite, was beautiful and clean with a comfortable mattress. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio of our suite and enjoying the beautiful plants and flowers. We decided to get a picnic and we were both blown away! The food was incredible, we especially loved our sandwiches and the pasta salad. We took our picnic to a gorgeous spot on the property. We appreciated all the sweet little touches throughout the property and with the food. You have free reign to explore the property and it is well worth it. We wished we could have stayed another day and will definitely be back! If you're visiting Longwood Gardens, you should definitely stay at this inn! Husband booked us the bedroom with two twin beds and it was a experience of wicker, flowered bedspreads and bunnies who may have seen too much. Breakfast was wonderful and inclusive of so many things - the grilled pineapple was fantastic. Despite only staying one night, Chip invited us to return during the next day if we needed anything - it kinda felt like we were staying with family. However, when my travel plans changed, I contacted the hotel in advance. The front desk staff reviewed my reservation and explicitly approved the change to my stay. Based on that conversation, I had every reason to believe everything had been handled correctly. When I checked out, I discovered I had been charged for an additional night anyway. Rather than explain what happened or investigate the discrepancy, the front desk attendant repeatedly avoided answering my questions and seemed more interested in talking around the issue than resolving it. After several attempts, I asked to speak with the manager. Unfortunately, the interaction only became worse. The manager was dismissive, rude, and visibly irritated that I questioned the charge. She rolled her eyes during the conversation and bluntly told me I would be charged regardless of the reservation change that had previously been approved. There was no attempt to understand the situation, acknowledge the conflicting information provided by her staff, or offer any reasonable customer service. As a Marriott Titanium Elite member, I don't expect special treatment--I simply expect honesty, professionalism, and for the hotel to honor commitments made by its staff. If there was a mistake, own it. If the change shouldn't have been approved, explain that respectfully. Instead, I was met with indifference and an attitude that left me feeling like my loyalty and business meant nothing. Mistakes happen. Poor customer service is a choice. Unfortunately, this stay will be remembered not for the property itself, but for how poorly a straightforward issue was handled.

Lied straight to our face. We could go and book several types of different rooms right then and there on their website. Didn't acknowledge corporate booking or show any semblance of understanding or desire to accommodate or offer another solution for the noise or compensate us for the sub-par but otherwise expensive service. Looking at the other reviews here, seems like this is the attitude of the management - anti-customer. Would avoid at all costs. Too bad it's close to the Gardens but there are other hotels that will not treat you like that.

The lobby is beautifully decorated with an impressive stone fireplace and the coffee table included fresh cut flowers (lilies in January - exuding a lovely scent that added to the warmth of the fire itself).
