Great accommodations for 12 man golf trip. The cottage rooms were perfect. Also thanks to the front desk staff for helping out with scanning over some paperwork left in a room.

I booked this through an Airbnb listing Great location at an affordable price. Room was generally clean, towels were plush, and beds were comfortable. Check in staff were friendly and helpful. Walls are a little thin so I could hear TV and chatting from the room next to us. Shower water temperature was inconsistent. They have a lovely heated indoor pool. Love that this was right across the street from bike rental and the Shining Sea bike/walking trail. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance! I would definitely stay here again!

Clean hotel, about a mile away from downtown (must walk to the Patisserie!) and convenient parking. The indoor pool is a nice feature - we stayed in March so definitely warmer to swim inside. The room has a refrig and microwave so it is convenient for families wanting to heat up leftovers. Beds are comfortable. Cleaning staff might be inconsistent in the off season. Overall decent value for the price.

My company picked the hotel. Very charming. Clean rooms. One thing which not sure if its bad or good but the lining smelled like hospital sheets. I gave 4 stars due to very thin walls you can hear everything. I heard everyone and any car that went by. My coworker was on the side of the fire pit and was kept up until 1am due to noise. They have a restaurant but its only breakfast and lunch. Which kinds sucked no food after 2pm. We ordered take out. Very pretty indoor pool.and out side space as well. I most likely wouldn't return for pleasure. I would like a hotel on the beach if going to the cape

I'm giving them 3 stars to begin with since we haven't finished our stay... we just checked in earlier this evening. Front desk Donald was very amiable and attentive. He seemed very customer service oriented. He quickly retrieved a few items we needed and apologized for the issue we encountered. Here's the issue; both the microwave and refrigerator contained crumbs and actual prices of food..... very gross! In this current environment in our country especially, rooms need to be thoroughly cleaned. I did also see some hairs in the bathroom and on table (about 3-4). In a few hallways I noticed a (nasty) smoke smell. I couldn't tell if they had /if these were smoking rooms or not. Thankfully our room only had a slight bleach smell, from the sheets I think. I was told that we were given fully fresh washed sheets and comforter. Obviously I can not verify that though. We were short towels (only 2 washcloths and no hand towels), which Donald promptly provided. (thank you) Needless to say, after seeing that, I'm obviously not fully convinced or overly inspired that the room was adequately cleaned.... but thankfully I brought my own cleaning wipes. Not as good as a spray and let it sit, but it worked. So far, my grading is : Cleanliness 3* Customer service 5* Amenities 5* (for a small hotel, they have some pretty good amenities) Bed comfort - pending Shower & bathroom - pending I really appreciate the fridge with a separate larger freezer, outdoor areas with tables, location,... To be continued ....

This review is not based on an actual stay, but rather on the booking and customer service experience leading up to my planned visit. I had never been to the Northeast and was excited to plan a trip to Boston and Cape Cod for the Fourth of July holiday. I began planning in April and was particularly looking forward to staying at the newly renovated Shore Haven Inn (formerly Beach Breeze Inn in Falmouth). Based on the photos and marketing materials, the property appeared beautiful, and I booked a four-night stay several months in advance. Two days before my trip, I received a notification from Hotels.com that my reservation had been canceled. This came as a surprise, especially after I had already noticed that the full payment had been charged to my account. With the Fourth of July being one of the busiest travel weeks in Cape Cod, this left me scrambling to find alternative accommodations at the last minute. I contacted the inn directly to understand what had happened. I was informed that the reservation had been canceled because the renovation was not yet complete. While I understand that construction timelines can change, I was disappointed by both the timing of the cancellation and the lack of communication leading up to it. Unfortunately, my experience with customer service was equally disappointing. I was directed back and forth between the inn and Hotels.com regarding my refund. When I contacted the inn again, there appeared to be confusion regarding my payment, and I had to make multiple efforts before the charge was located and refunded. What prompted me to write this review is what I observed after arriving in Cape Cod. Despite the cancellation, I proceeded with my trip and secured one of the few accommodations still available for the holiday weekend. While in Falmouth, I drove by Shore Haven Inn and was surprised by the extent of the unfinished renovation. The property appeared to be far from completion, with visible construction work still underway and building materials on site. Given the condition of the property, I am concerned that reservations were still being accepted and payments processed when it was evident that the inn would not be ready to accommodate guests. Renovation delays happen, but guests deserve timely communication, transparency, and proactive customer service--especially when travel plans are being made months in advance. For anyone considering a future stay, I would recommend confirming directly with the property that renovations have been completed before booking. The inn may ultimately become a wonderful place to stay, but based on my experience, I would be cautious until operations are fully up and running.

Any worries or concerns that I may have had disappeared the moment we pulled into the drive. From the impeccable landscaping to the timely and friendly greeting from the Inn owner, Pattie started the weekend off perfectly. She was both warm and inviting. She took the time to show us her beautiful property and all of its personalized, beautiful features and amenities. The rooms were spacious, impeccable and adorned with all of the luxuries you may want for a comfortable stay. The housekeeping crew left the room spotless and tidy each day as well. Watching Pattie work and care for her guests make the stay just that more special. She truly cares about her guests comfort. My friends and I were able to enjoy her delicious, homemade breakfasts (we could have done better of keeping her informed of any culinary preferences but she was able to accommodate a few reasonable requests). She has truly thought of every detail---from coffee/tea/filtered water access all day to homemade cookies ! Sitting on the veranda together whether in the evening or morning after breakfast, we were able to settle in surrounded by trees and enjoy one another's company. We loved it so much we are thinking of making this an annual visit. Thank you, Pattie for creating the perfect environment for us to laugh, talk and create memories until our next reunion!

The rooms & common areas were tastefully decorated. My only gripe is that there is no fridge in the room. We were allowed to use the main fridge in the kitchen, but it's shared with everyone and can't be used while breakfast is going on, so I had to plan ahead if I wanted to take a drink out for breakfast and, obviously, it wouldn't be cold as a result. Mini fridges in the rooms would be great! They also had great toiletries (e.g., shampoo that doesn't make your hair feel like hay.) Service: This inn is run by husband and wife, Pattie and Randy. Pattie seems very well-intentioned and was helpful. She greeted us with a smile, answered all of our questions, had ferry tickets ready for the Vineyard, and was happy to provide recommendations for things to do, how to get to places, and so on. She was the quintessential innkeeper. Breakfast is served every morning and was delicious. Pattie was meticulous about dietary restrictions, which the three of us who had some very much appreciated. As a pescatarian who has been served clam chowder with bacon (after a lengthy convo about not eating meat) and had numerous encounters with people who don't understand that chicken is not a vegetable, I am grateful for people in the service industry who take dietary restrictions seriously. I didn't feel like I needed to ask her about every breakfast item to make sure I wasn't inadvertently eating meat because it was clear that she was already on top of that. They have about 6-8 tables out on the veranda and the innkeepers made sure that everyone would be seated promptly and with their entire party. Sounds great, why the hell did you only give it three stars? Randy. When I first met Randy, I thought he was funny in a deeply sarcastic way. Problem is, it quickly became clear that the sarcasm was mostly just him being rude and judgmental. Some examples follow but they're certainly not the only uncomfortable interactions we had with him: (1) when asked what kind of juice we wanted, both my husband and I said orange. He told us we were unoriginal. (2) when we disclosed we were going to Provincetown for whale-watching and walking around town, he told us he doesn't appreciate his guests doing that. His GUESTS, who paid a little under $1700 per couple for three nights at this place, were all vaccinated (and provided proof of such) and regularly wear masks, especially in indoor spaces had to worry about whether or not he approves of our vacation plans. In fact, when we first checked in, I wore a mask the entire time. I only took it off after noticing that Pattie wasn't wearing one so I figured they were comfortable with us not being masked because they had proof of our vaccine status. All the other guests also did not wear masks. (Writing reviews during COVID is bizarre.) I get his hesitancy (somewhat): we visited in late August of 2021; there was a COVID outbreak in Provincetown in early July of 2021. It was contained and Provincetown has been strictly enforcing masking since then. Plus, this outbreak was related to the Delta variant, which isn't unique to Provincetown. They never told us before we checked in that they were so concerned about Provincetown. We had already purchased tickets to whale-watching and weren't about to throw away $65/pp because the host of the place we paid to sleep at night didn't like it. If COVID is that serious of a concern they should either (1) warn their guests explicitly about these restrictions before booking or (2) not run their business during COVID. By the way, Provincetown was awesome. Loved whale-watching & Commercial St., while touristy, isn't depressingly so. I highly recommend a trip there! If you go, The Lobster Pot should absolutely be your lunch stop! (3) on the day we checked out, I saw Randy and asked if Pattie was around so that I could provide her with my credit card. Randy went to the entrance where there was apparently a bell to summon Pattie. I was next to the bell. He could've easily walked to the OPPOSITE side of the counter to ring the bell. Instead, he told me he likes to keep about 8' of distance and had me move to the other side of the room so he could ring said bell. I get social distancing and am happy to abide, but don't make your guests feel like lepers. He could've asked ME to ring the bell, or told me WHY he needed me to move. Instead, he told me he needed the 8' as he moved towards me so I could get out of his way. It was awkward and uncomfortable. One of my friends started wearing her mask--despite that neither Pattie nor Randy wear masks in their inn--because she also felt like he was being really judgmental and treated us like walking COVID hotbeds. (4) it seems they don't pay employees well? Randy made some comments about how they can't keep their help around b/c the gov't providing unemployment
