Any worries or concerns that I may have had disappeared the moment we pulled into the drive. From the impeccable landscaping to the timely and friendly greeting from the Inn owner, Pattie started the weekend off perfectly. She was both warm and inviting. She took the time to show us her beautiful property and all of its personalized, beautiful features and amenities. The rooms were spacious, impeccable and adorned with all of the luxuries you may want for a comfortable stay. The housekeeping crew left the room spotless and tidy each day as well. Watching Pattie work and care for her guests make the stay just that more special. She truly cares about her guests comfort. My friends and I were able to enjoy her delicious, homemade breakfasts (we could have done better of keeping her informed of any culinary preferences but she was able to accommodate a few reasonable requests). She has truly thought of every detail---from coffee/tea/filtered water access all day to homemade cookies ! Sitting on the veranda together whether in the evening or morning after breakfast, we were able to settle in surrounded by trees and enjoy one another's company. We loved it so much we are thinking of making this an annual visit. Thank you, Pattie for creating the perfect environment for us to laugh, talk and create memories until our next reunion!

We checked in a discovered a cute beachy room. They had a record player with beach themed records....so fun. They also had a rooftop space to hang out and enjoy the views. We did end up next to a room with an infant. We could hear the baby cry for over 1.5 hrs at which point we asked for another room as figured the infant may be up several times through the night. They graciously allowed us to switch rooms and were very apologetic. The lady at the desk did not hassle us at all. I'm very appreciative for such a wonderful stay at Falmouth Tides.

The room was air conditioned, and the views were amazing. The hotel is also very well located. The only issue was the cleanliness, it seemed as though no one sweeped the corners or sides of things (There were quite a few dead bugs). and there were stains on the sheets of both beds. One bed had greenish, brown stain on the inner. The other had a reddish stain on the top cover. Perhaps because of the white sheets stains are always harder to remove. But the amount of stains was something I've never experienced before. Because of that; 4 stars. Also the bathroom is tiny, no room to put anything on the counters or in the shower really...Not a big deal to me, but may be to some. The last couple of things- the walls are very thin, and smells leak through the doors and windows-the air smelled of weed frequently.

It was a little surprising that a room with such a large common space would have two queen beds instead of a king bed, though. The staff, including housekeeping, did a great job making us feel like guests of honor all weekend long, with a bride and groom welcome setup and several refreshes of the room while we were away. We were also able to book one of the dog-friendly rooms at the last minute, in which my mom stayed with our dog. There was lots of green space on and off the property for our dog to explore on walks. The Coonamessett also hosted our morning-after-the-wedding buffet breakfast, which we coordinated through their special events team five months before the wedding. The food was pretty good, nothing special, but was a little on the pricier side (to be expected for a wedding-related event). Since they weren't hosting a wedding on-site that weekend, we were able to use the entire ballroom space. A couple hotel guests wandered in and grabbed a plate before we informed them it was a private event. The Coonamessett even opened the bar for our guests (my niece and nephew said the espresso martinis were good!).

While we didn't personally stay there, we coordinated with the general manager, Cindy, to have our guests stay there the week of our wedding. We were delighted to learn that prices were very reasonable for an August weekend, at under $300 per night (2-night minimum). We had no issues with our invited guests securing rooms, and it is best to book rooms by calling hotel management directly. The room decor is characteristically quaint Cape Cod themed, and was a nice bonus to welcome our many guests who had never been to Cape Cod. Cindy was accommodating in allowing our shuttle buses to pick up and drop off guests at the Red Horse Inn, and she was good at getting the guest welcome bags where they needed to go after we dropped them off.

I did notice the mattress and pillows all had encasements to prevent bugs. Since I also have this in my own house I felt very secure that I would have no unwanted guests. The bathroom was also good size and the shower was one of the best I have ever had. I don't know how the WiFi was as I did not receive a password. All in all I would go back in a heartbeat.

There's plenty to do such as an indoor pool, jacuzzi and an arcade. Currently it's their "off-season" so not all shops and restaurants are open in the month of April. Lots of chaises on the beach. They just installed water showers for body and feet. It's nice to have a 5-cubic-foot refrigerator in the room, and a Keurig which died halfway through my second day of first coffee. Mediocre: not ready for the season as the pool was not ready, nor were many of the food amenities, except the main dining room. The breakfast buffet was ok, omelette making was solid, but very slow. Cooks did not have the proper tools to flip omelettes, using rubber scrapers, not proper 'hamburg' style flippers. I'd be ready to wait 5-6 minutes for every omelette. And the hotel was basically at 20% of capacity, max. think much longer in-season. Water was provided daily (2 Bottles), but nowhere was it documented where you could get ice and/or refill a Yeti with water. BTW, it's off the lobby next to the ATM machine. As seniors, we had to constantly fight for our $30/day credits for food/refreshments. It got old, and we are NOT complainers. The frint desk did not have the necessary tickets for us. Gift shop - sad. Very little to buy except coffee and perhaps a high-priced 'lunch-sized' snack like Doritos. The indoor pool seemed fine, but we did not use it, as the weather was too warm. Bad: Almost everything else. The breakfast stands for the Scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage served up at best warmish heat levels - food safety risk? FWIW, we did not get sick. But avoid if you like it hot. Coffee is from giant urns, very stale, and we ate as early as 9:15 on Monday!! (Their hours are from 8 to 11 am) . They'd be better off serving from carafes, especially at $23/person. Dorm/food service quality at best, and I am a college professor. The front office staff, from check-in to checkout, were poorly trained, to the point of being clueless. We wasted 20 minutes for each, when there was NO LINE at all. Each event required the desk supervisor to intervene. Really bad. I would NEVER leave your room unless wearing slides/sandals, etc. The main exit from the parking lot to "5" second floor had one of the dirtiest and most unattended carpeted steps that I have ever seen. totally filthy, with dirt and trash going up to a $270+ per night room. It needed not just a vacuuming, but a deep steam clean, years in the waiting. When they finally arrived to clean our room on Sunday near 6 pm, they didn't even replenish our coffee, nor the cups. On the cups, I'd bring your own, or small Yetis, and bring your own milk or cream. Coffee is all about plastic packaging for 'creamer' and 'sweetener'. Also, worn places on aspects such as doors are desperately in need of some attention and paint. And these are not in some weird, off-the-grid places. We are talking about the major bathrooms servicing the beach and outdoor spaces We ran into old friends who live in Falmouth and occasionally visit here. They remarked that once the "resort" fired its long-standing GM 2 or so years ago, everything has slipped and gotten more shoddy/worse. To think that this facility is somehow in the same hospitality group as the "Boston Harbor Hotel" is a total joke. While I get that the Cape gets expensive and crowded, I'd recommend the experience at places like Ocean Edge resort in Brewster, in the main building or annex. It costs a 1.7x, but if you like a true luxury experience, a bit better $$ for $$.
