This is the cutest bed and breakfast I've been to! It has all the New England charm and is extremely clean and comfortable. It's also less than a 5 minute walk to downtown Falmouth. We stayed in the Robinson room that has its' own private entrance at garden level and loved it. Our room had a large king size bed, fireplace, and bathroom with a rain shower and large bath tub. Patti and Randy were great hosts that took us on a tour of the B&B prior to getting settled in our room. There is complimentary wine, beer, and cookies to munch on throughout the day. The complimentary breakfast they serve was also fantastic. We had peaches and cream with a corn muffin followed by eggs Benedict and hash browns. Everything was home cooked and delicious. We would definitely return and stay for longer. I'd be interested in checking out The Cottage for a longer stay next time! They did a tremendous job with all the extra details they add on - Patti even gave us a goodie bag for the road on our departure!

Breakfast is just wonderful. The rooms are beautiful and the beds are so comfortable. The common areas are so beautiful and the grounds are kept immaculately clean. Super walkable to all downtown Falmouth stores, shops and restaurants. We will be back!

I have stayed at The Captain's Manor Inn 3 times with the new owners, Randy and Pattie. The first time was for a little get-away in March of 2018. They had a construction project going with what is now the cafe. They did prepare and serve a delicious, well presented breakfast in the living room/dining room. I was very pleased the menu was geared to the season with the entree and fruit course representing ingredients that were fresh. The Innkeeper's were gracious and accommodating to all guests and noticeably all food preferences were dealt with very well. I returned for a third time this year during a very busy month. Once again nothing had changed. Daily, everyone is introduced at breakfast, noting where we are traveling from, anniversaries, vacations etc. This is a very nice touch in my opinion. Guests are then left on their own to decide whether they want to interact or remain private. Randy and Pattie continue to serve lovely breakfast and most importantly accommodating everyone's needs. It was shocking to me with as clear as the check in and the reservations are that people still do not complete all the areas regarding the food. I witnessed very shocking behavior on the part of a guest when they were served their breakfast and I think several of us were completely stunned when the guest stated "I will not eat that." Immediately Pattie and then Randy asked what they would prefer and I feel tactfully approached the subject of food issues and no mention on the paperwork. I will return to The Captain's Manor Inn and have booked in December. The grounds are wonderful, the accommodations are on par with a fine hotel. The thoughtful amenities including chap stick, and the graciousness of the innkeepers who really enjoy ensuring their guests are comfortable, make for a delightful stay. Oh, one evening I was relaxing in the well appointed living room and perused some of the books autographed by the authors which were personal notes as well as a binder. The binder was filled with postcards, letters and cards from past guests stating how much they enjoyed the Inn and their hosts. What a delight to see these lovely cards and letters!

Our stay at the Captain's Manor Inn was magical from beginning to end. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon in the low season and were the only people in the inn. We purchased two packages for a 3-day stay: The Premium Romantic Getaway and The Triple B Getaway. Trish and Kevin were a delight! I am a Coeliac, and they went out of their way to accommodate me. We had two, delicious, two-course breakfasts each morning. The first morning was poached pear with raspberry sauce and a muffin; with that, my husband had a regular muffin while I had a gluten free banana chocolate chip muffin. The second course for me was eggs and bacon, and my husband had quiche lorraine. On the second day we had a bowl of fruit, then gluten free pancakes. We also had some goodies when we returned to the Captain's Manor each day. My husband is a chef and felt that the food was just wonderful. We stayed in the Hatch room and really thought it was luxurious. One of the best showers I've ever had, I can certainly say! The *only* thing I would say is that we were under the impression that the balcony was part of the room, but there is actually no way to access it from the room. We had to go around the outside of the building. I would give the Captain's Manor in more stars, if it were possible! We could not have been happier with our getaway. 10/10 I would definitely recommend!

This review is not based on an actual stay, but rather on the booking and customer service experience leading up to my planned visit. I had never been to the Northeast and was excited to plan a trip to Boston and Cape Cod for the Fourth of July holiday. I began planning in April and was particularly looking forward to staying at the newly renovated Shore Haven Inn (formerly Beach Breeze Inn in Falmouth). Based on the photos and marketing materials, the property appeared beautiful, and I booked a four-night stay several months in advance. Two days before my trip, I received a notification from Hotels.com that my reservation had been canceled. This came as a surprise, especially after I had already noticed that the full payment had been charged to my account. With the Fourth of July being one of the busiest travel weeks in Cape Cod, this left me scrambling to find alternative accommodations at the last minute. I contacted the inn directly to understand what had happened. I was informed that the reservation had been canceled because the renovation was not yet complete. While I understand that construction timelines can change, I was disappointed by both the timing of the cancellation and the lack of communication leading up to it. Unfortunately, my experience with customer service was equally disappointing. I was directed back and forth between the inn and Hotels.com regarding my refund. When I contacted the inn again, there appeared to be confusion regarding my payment, and I had to make multiple efforts before the charge was located and refunded. What prompted me to write this review is what I observed after arriving in Cape Cod. Despite the cancellation, I proceeded with my trip and secured one of the few accommodations still available for the holiday weekend. While in Falmouth, I drove by Shore Haven Inn and was surprised by the extent of the unfinished renovation. The property appeared to be far from completion, with visible construction work still underway and building materials on site. Given the condition of the property, I am concerned that reservations were still being accepted and payments processed when it was evident that the inn would not be ready to accommodate guests. Renovation delays happen, but guests deserve timely communication, transparency, and proactive customer service--especially when travel plans are being made months in advance. For anyone considering a future stay, I would recommend confirming directly with the property that renovations have been completed before booking. The inn may ultimately become a wonderful place to stay, but based on my experience, I would be cautious until operations are fully up and running.

It was a little surprising that a room with such a large common space would have two queen beds instead of a king bed, though. The staff, including housekeeping, did a great job making us feel like guests of honor all weekend long, with a bride and groom welcome setup and several refreshes of the room while we were away. We were also able to book one of the dog-friendly rooms at the last minute, in which my mom stayed with our dog. There was lots of green space on and off the property for our dog to explore on walks. The Coonamessett also hosted our morning-after-the-wedding buffet breakfast, which we coordinated through their special events team five months before the wedding. The food was pretty good, nothing special, but was a little on the pricier side (to be expected for a wedding-related event). Since they weren't hosting a wedding on-site that weekend, we were able to use the entire ballroom space. A couple hotel guests wandered in and grabbed a plate before we informed them it was a private event. The Coonamessett even opened the bar for our guests (my niece and nephew said the espresso martinis were good!).

While we didn't personally stay there, we coordinated with the general manager, Cindy, to have our guests stay there the week of our wedding. We were delighted to learn that prices were very reasonable for an August weekend, at under $300 per night (2-night minimum). We had no issues with our invited guests securing rooms, and it is best to book rooms by calling hotel management directly. The room decor is characteristically quaint Cape Cod themed, and was a nice bonus to welcome our many guests who had never been to Cape Cod. Cindy was accommodating in allowing our shuttle buses to pick up and drop off guests at the Red Horse Inn, and she was good at getting the guest welcome bags where they needed to go after we dropped them off.

The bathroom was also good size and the shower was one of the best I have ever had. I don't know how the WiFi was as I did not receive a password. All in all I would go back in a heartbeat.
