We spent 5 nights at INNdulge this fall and were very glad we did. Palm Springs resorts can be hit or miss and this was definitely a hit. We arrived late, so they emailed ahead with instructions for getting our key. When we arrived, we were able to grab our key and be in our room in minutes. Great system. The property is great with a big pool and hot tub, lots of seating of different types (chaise loungers, chairs, patio tables, cabanas for rent, etc). We found the cabana rentals to be a great deal and took them up on it almost every day. There is a bar off the pool for the complimentary morning breakfast and evening leftovers happy hour. Everything was spotless and in perfect condition the whole stay. The staff was friendly and attentive. The room we got was fairly small, but made great use of space, including a full sized refrigerator, TV, dresser, bed side tables, a small closet and a very comfortable bed. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. The crowd was also a lot of fun. A little bit of everything, but everyone was nice and friendly. No drama. The vibe was a little more playful on the weekend and more reserved on weekdays, so we got the best of both. We've already begun looking at dates to come back next spring. read more

very unexpectedly swung by for july 4 with a bud who forgot he had a booking! had a poolside view room that had everything we needed including a convenient kitchen with a big fridge to keep drinks and basic snacks and bites super cold and handy! the pool, the grounds, everything as usual spotless and spectacular. ultra clean and well cared for. the staff is really, really on top of things and always very pleasant and helpful. whether its the friendly guys setting up breakfast, housekeeping who i know has their hands full (i honestly cannot imagine working in 100+ degree heat and doing it efficiently and with a smile), or RILEY at the front desk who is always gracious, gleeful and gregarious (note to owners: give this man a raise! he makes the place!!!)... the staff here is really excellent and looking out to make sure you have a great and memorable time. there was a complimentary 4th of july lunch with burgers, weiners (and by that i mean hot dogs... tho i guess there were also weiners), macaroni salad and drinks, which was a nice touch and bang (and by that i mean bang) for the holiday. afterall who doesn't appreciate a meaty bite (and by that i mean meaty bite). well hmm i guess a vegetarian wouldn't but i digress. the crowd this weekend was a refreshing mix of everything. last time i went, only a month ago... it definitely skewed to a certain daddy demographic. i think the holiday brought a broader crowd. but hopefully there's someone or something for everyone! a simple smile and hi, and i noticed you can instantly be warmly chatting away with a stranger, who says hi to you the next morning too and often remembers your name tho i am terrible at that haha. so as always- a pretty chill crowd that is just looking to be friendly and fun. nighttime is one of the best times at the pool for the sheer clear beauty of the sky, stars and palm trees. oddly calming and a mountain experience with crisp cool air, that must be had. in many many ways, much more zen than the sunlight (and stupendous heat!) of the day. i forget how many times i've been here but it is definitely a fave and always a thrill to return. highly recommended. (oh but like i said in last review, avoid outside room. too removed from the smiles and sunshine... if you ask me. and the poolside rooms are definitely the best for a constant view of a sparkling pool, towering trees, and interesing people watching. but the other rooms on the side, which i have been in multiple times, are good too! just less people watching if you are lounging around in the room, relaxing. or doing whatever you do!) read more

Had a great stay here. Super friendly staff and guests. Good mix of couples and solo travelers. The breakfast and social hour was a very nice touch. Our room was clean and had a kitchen with everything we needed. The bathroom had a skylight and a bidet. We rented a cabana which was wonderful. I stayed at INNdulge in April during a trip to Palm Springs. Check in: The entire process was very easy. I was originally getting in, "after hours" so they left instructions on how to get my key when their office staff had gone home (hours are from 8a-8p i believe). Someone was still there when i arrived so they checked me in and gave me my key, which was an actual key- two of them actually. One for the front doors and and one for your room. The room: The room was nice. I was in a deluxe room which had a microwave that I didn't use. The room was clean. It was not very big, but suited the purpose. It did have a desk in there which was great for days I needed to work. My room, number 20 was next to the ice machine which was the only downside to the room. Hearing the machine all day and night was not great. The hotel: The hotel features a daily happy hour. It features a hot tub and pool and honestly being in either with those Mountain Views is amazing It's a ten minute walk to the Main Street It's a men's resort and is clothing optional except for in the lobby They offer a complimentary breakfast In the morning you can place an order for lunch and they will deliver it to you The staff is welcoming and friendly Based on the rates in the area you're getting a great value here The wifi was strong for those who need to work while traveling. This place is wonderful! It's very peaceful and relaxing, the palm trees they have definitely give off the Palm Springs vibe. The gentleman at check in was very professional and polite, he explained everything and even walked me to my room! The pool is sparkling clean and the have plenty of chairs with umbrellas around the pool area, you can also reserve a covered cabana that has a ceiling fan. They have lounge chairs that you can use to float in the pool with. I chose not to use the jacuzzi during my stay (it was 120° when I arrived) but it looked very clean. They also have a happy hour in the afternoons! The rooms are very nice, bed is comfortable. The shower has great water pressure and is a great size. The bathroom even has a bidet! The owners and staff are the friendliest, the crowd is diverse and friendly. The BYOB happy hour is gregarious and warm. The vibe is flirty but not oversexualized. The rooms are neatly appointed and clean. The breakfast, while simple, is convenient and perfectly sufficient. The fact that they have one main area w/ pool and hot tub means that the social scene is always centralized and therefore, accessible. The location is convenient. You can find a more luxurious resort (for twice the price), and you can find something less expensive (that's not nearly as good). But you cannot find a better combination of affordability, convenience, comfort, friendliness, and chill. Very disappointing stay... We left LA a day early- with Palm Springs on our list. We called and made same-day reservations... glad to be staying in a place we'd heard of. When we checked in- everyone was pleasant, and the property is well maintained. As we opened the door to our room, a strong smell of bleach hit us. I didn't make a big deal of it. Perhaps the room had just been serviced? What was beyond the limit for me was the following morning. Check out is 11am. At about 9:45 there was a knock at our door... and before I could open it, a gentleman opened it, to find me hiding behind a pillow... he said "we were just wondering if you checked out". I said no, it's not 11 and he left. We then mistakenly left some medicated shampoo in the room, and called- I explained we would return for it. The person who took the call checked lost and found, and further explained the person who cleaned our room was off, and they would get back to us- and never did. Attempting to enter our room without calling the room, or our cell is absolutely unacceptable. Promising to call about a lost item, and not doing it...is sloppy. I expected more from INNdulge. read more

My husband and I had a fantastic stay here! It was a Thursday- Saturday. It was our first visit to Inndulge and our first time in California (finally made it from the east coast). The owners were really friendly! They had some extra beers and brought them out for anyone to inndulge in (haha) Who doesn't love a free drink?! Happy hour is fun too! It's BYOB but people bring extra so there's always enough. Oh, and the breakfast was always nice to wake up to. Our room was in the back of the resort. It was a little small but had everything we needed (we booked through Expedia). Parking was simple, we had no troubles. The pool area was always clean- plenty of noodles to go around! If I had one thing to complain about it would be that the hot tub has too many chemicals and the use of chlorine bleach has caused my friends and I to have skin irritation issues. My husband and I were booked into INNdulge for 5 nights beginning December 13. On Dec 1, I had to be admitted to the hospital for emergency surgery. My husband contacted INNdulge and was told there would not be a problem getting a reimbursement of the 50% deposit. However it was the night staff, so he indicated the owner would need to make a decision in the morning. In the meantime, we received an email from the owner, Jon Jackson, that said sorry for your situation but there are no refunds for any reason. You have to cancel 42 days before your stay to get any kind of refund. Jon indicated that if the room was rebooked before our stay, he would do his best to give us a credit on our deposit if he could cover his losses. My husband called Jon Jackson the next morning and was told under no circumstances would any of the deposit (which was now referred to as a cancellation fee) would be returned. My husband tried to explain but Jon kept talking over him and when Jon was told that I review for TripAdvisor, Jon promptly said "Thanks for the threat" and hung up on my husband. This was followed up by an email explaining to Jon that the mention of TripAdvisor was not a threat and that a positive review would be written should we be able to work this out. Also, the email finished explaining the surgery and the inability to fly or travel due to a hospital stay and recovery time. Never heard anything back from Jon. We found out from the website that the room we booked had in fact been rebooked. We sent an email asking again if we would be receiving a refund since the room was rebooked. The response from Jon said that they were able to recover the majority of their loss but I have to incur half of what they did lose. Even though I have $503 due after they took half of their loss, Jon Jackson said they will not refund my card but will give me a credit toward staying at INNdulge in the future. NO WAY. This guy only cares about the money. $629 dollars out the window. We have been vacationing in Palm Springs for 30 years and never encountered this level of unprofessionalism toward customers at any of the gay resorts. Jon is apparently very concerned about getting every dollar he can without any regard for hospitality, customer service, or repeat business. It is interesting that he is so concerned about losing any money, but his lack of customer service will cause just that. If you are looking for a gay resort in Palm Springs, there are many to choose from where you are treated like a guest. I would recommend you avoid INNdulge. If you do decide to stay there be sure you read the fine print and be ready to suffer the rudeness of the owner Jon. If you are looking at the recent reviews of INNdulge you will see this same thing has happened to other potential guests. Bottom line, there are way too many other resorts with exceptional customer service who don't have this crazy 42 day cancellation policy with no consideration for emergency situations. read more

CAUTION: Read Before You Book This so-called resort is definitely a situation where you need to pay attention to the fine print. Specifically, their cancellation policy and the owner's lack of hospitality. Six weeks ago (July 7), I booked two nights for this weekend (Aug 20-22). Two days later, they charged 50% of the booking, which came out to $300. Now, I don't travel all too often. But when I do stay at a hotel, usually they don't charge for your stay until you check out. They might put a hold beforehand, but they don't charge. And I'm talking nice hotels sometimes. INNdulge is not such an establishment. It is what it is, though they charge much more than what you get in accommodations. But's that not what you're paying for, is it? Three weeks after booking (and 23 days before our check-in), other developing circumstances required my partner and me to change our plans for visiting Palm Springs. This is not the first time I've called a hotel to change and move a reservation to a later date. It's never been an issue. So I contact INNdulge, anticipating a similar outcome. Instead, the owner, Jon Jackson, told me that since the reservation was less than 42 days away, our 50% deposit was forfeit if I canceled. You read that right, they have a 42-day cancellation policy. Other hotels have cancellation policies of 3 days, 2 days, 24 hours, or sometimes the day of. Jon bemoaned to me on the phone that he's a small business and that's why he has to have such an extended cancellation window. That if he didn't do that, people would book and just cancel weeks before their trip, he wouldn't be able to rebook the room in time, and he would "lose too much money." I wanted to tell Jon that's exactly how other hotels and resorts conduct business. He went so far as to compare his business with airlines, in so much that they won't let you rebook unless you pay extra (but even then, you're not forfeiting what you've already paid). But I wasn't trying to cancel. I wanted to use our deposit for a later date. Specifically, in October. But since October is their "busiest month," they require a minimum of 4-days and jack up their rates. While I wasn't happy about it, that's business. Can't argue with that. Though it was not really in our budget, my partner and I decided to go ahead and book for October. We thought that we would at least be able to use the already charged $300 toward the new booking. Nope. It was not the owner's policy to allow such accommodation. Why? Jon argued, to me over the phone, that he would be "taking a risk." That he was losing money if he is unable to rebook the room for the August dates. But he was comfortable, after already taking $300, to tell us to just rebook and pay the full amount, which was going to be at least an additional $1200. But finally, he consented that he would be the "nice guy," though he made sure to tell me that he didn't have to, and promised to give us the $300 credit for a later booking IF he was able to rebook the room for the August dates with another guest. I didn't hear from the owner again. This week, out of curiosity, I checked to see if I could book a room at INNdulge for the same dates (this weekend) on their website. They were fully booked. I even had my friend call, and the front desk said they had no rooms available. So that's that, folks. That's how Jon Jackson, the owner of INNdulge, chooses to run his business. Hospitality is not on the menu. And he was totally comfortable with losing a returning customer. As he sees it, there are plenty of other customers who want to stay at INNdulge -- though just a few minutes previously on the phone he was going on and on about how unlikely he would be able to rebook the room in 3 weeks. There are plenty of other clothing-optional resorts, with better accommodations most likely, in Palm Springs. Don't give your money to a person who is this stingy. Who views their returning customers as utterly expendable and nothing more than monetary transactions. read more

I booked a stay here for what I thought was the first weekend of April. My dates weren't available but the website offered up alternative dates that I mistakenly thought were the dates I wanted. I booked and realized my mistake 2 days later. It was an honest mistake but the property absolutely refused any refund or rebooking. Stating their 42 day in advance cancellation policy. Setting aside how absolutely unreasonable a 42 day cancellation policy is, it's atrocious that the property absolutely refused to address an honest booking mistake after 2 days. Even United Airlines has worked with me to cancel a flight in that time period. My hearty congratulations to this property for taking $467 dollars from me. I hope it was worth it to keep that money and forever lose my future business. Well done. read more

My partner and I just booked our 4th and 5th visits to INNdulge, our favorite Palm Springs destination. Yes, it's a clothing optional resort...but during the day it's "flirty," not overly "active" like some other resorts in the area. Every time we stay there the clientele is the very definition of diverse: all ages, races, and body types stay here and we've never encountered any bad attitudes...lounging nude in the sun with a cocktail brings out the best in people! I really enjoyed this hotel and Palm Springs and it is going to be my new favorite. I live in Phoenix but go to Southern California often and drive through Palm Springs on a frequent basis. So glad I luckily found this diamond in the rough because it is top notch. The management team, especially, Jason, is very personable and the hotel is small and the rooms very tastefully appointed. It feels like a small boutique hotel like vibe, and the social happy hour in the evening is a great way to meet other guests. Breakfast is included and it was very well done, with a variety of choices. I liked the fact that the grounds were compact because it gave it more of a friendly vibe as well since people were more in one central area than other places I've stayed that are much larger and more spread out. Having stayed at many other gay and non gay resorts in the area, this one has finally emerged as the clear winner. You won't be disappointed with this choice. read more

AN EVOLUTION FROM INNdulge to possibly EXtinct. I don't normally write reviews of places my husband and I travel but on this occasion I have to. On Dec. 1st after 36 hours of what we had hoped was a virus my husband was rushed by ambulance to the ER at the closest hospital to our home. After several hours in surgery he was out of danger and was kept in the hospital for a week. Having stayed at the hospital for 24 hours in the ER, recovery room and in his room I finally had a chance to call INNdulge to cancel our upcoming trip. The surgeon had said there was no way he would be allowed to fly by the time our trip was to begin. Because of the type of procedure my husband had done, the doctor had placed a tube through his nostril down to his lower intestine making it not possible for him to talk on the phone. When I told the night clerk at INNdulge the circumstances and because I had called 10 days in advance he indicated we would be able to get our deposit back. The next morning I found an email in my inbox from Jon Jackson, the owner of INNdulge, stating that I would not be receiving our deposit back, he was sorry to hear about the circumstances, but because of their 42 day cancellation policy we would be losing the entire deposit of $629.67. At this point I was sitting beside my husband's hospital bed. Although he could not talk he could hear the entire conversation when I called INNdulge and Jon happened to answer the phone. I started off the conversation telling him who I was and that I had called the night before to cancel our reservation. Before I could even finish stating this Jon had already started rattling off his apparently canned speech about his 42 day cancellation policy and that they made no exceptions in a very hateful and nasty tone. When I could finally get a word in, I was trying to tell him that my husband is a top Trip Advisor reviewer, as soon as I said the word "Trip Advisor" Jon said " Oh, thanks for the threat" and hung up the phone on me. SERIOUSLY! I rarely use this term because I hate when anybody tries to put labels on any person in our LGBTQ community but Jon is the epitome of the term "Pissy Queen"! We will make a return trip to Palm Springs in the future but I can promise you it won't be to INNdulge. If it's still in business. read more

So. I gave this place 1 star for 1 single solitary reason... I was threatened with cops being called on me. I stayed there this past weekend, it was dark, all the rooms booked, around 9p at night. Me and friends had been drinking and were talking by the poolside. I had a speaker out playing adult contemporary music (was thanked for the music the next morning by guests saying they loved our choices). The night boy walks up to us and says "You all need to leave the pool or I'm calling the cops" WORD FOR WORD!!! I may have been drinking, but I wasn't drunk, wasn't slurring, wasn't loud and neither were any of my guests who I told the front desk when I got there (they even jotted down their names) would be coming by before we went out. We weren't given any option, just straight up harassment. I've never been so insulted in my life. Is that how you treat people?!?! By threatening them with being arrested instead of asking or talking to them?!?! The boy (using boy because he doesn't deserve to be called a man after acting like a child) really ruined that hotel experience. It was paradise, the room was beautiful, happy hour was a success for mingling and that man that walked me around and showed me to my room when I checked in was so nice. This was my first nude resort experience. Way to shame, embarrass, threaten us and follow me to my room after kicking us out as if we didn't belong. read more

Without question, this is Palm Springs (PS) premiere mens resort! We have stayed at other 'men's' resorts in PS but this is the best hands down! Rooms are very clean and well cared for, linens are plush, the breakfast options are quite good and the happy hour is a great time to socialize with others. Sandy certainly knows how make people feel welcomed and his good sense of humor makes socializing easier. We will be staying here from now on when we are in PS. Quite possibly the poorest accommodation I have ever encountered. My husband and I paid for the largest suite expecting a little more comfort, etc.. How disappointed we were to enter the basic and simply astoundingly sad accommodations. The owners should be hauled over the coals for daring to charge what they charge for the atrocious living environment. Firstly and foremost, the beds are the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in: they are like a rock, the sheets are rough and the overall comfort level is a zero. Then you have to contend with the noise from the all night hot tub parties practically outside your bedroom: It was abhorrent. As for the infrastructure, the cabinetry is falling apart, cheaper than IKEA and simply abysmal; all of the furniture is junk and more office like than suite like. I will never visit this "resort"( so laughable) ever again. Truly, do yourself a favor and run quickly in the opposite direction. read more

Another amazing stay! I came to visit local friends, and ended up making a few more. The pool and hot tub were great, the rooms clean, and the kitchenette well stocked with utensils, cookware and such. Breakfast there is my favorite, drinking coffee and swapping stories about the previous nights adventures, or reading a book and going back for a second helping of raisin toast. I stayed with a group at INNdulge for three nights, and I could not have enjoyed my stay more. From the continental breakfast and rotating daily lunch menus to the Sunday afternoon margaritas, from the refreshing pool to the relaxing hot tub, from the cooling misters to the comfortable bed, everything about my stay was excellent. On top of all that, the staff offers outstanding customer service, friendly and smiling. The property is clean and well-maintained, and our room was immaculately clean each day. The location is excellent as well: a cheap cab ride away from the heart of Palm Springs, and an equally cheap cab ride to the airport--no need for a rental car. With the high school and a park nearby, I was even able to go for a morning run without crossing too many streets. I'll be visiting Palm Springs again in a few months, and I wish I could stay here! As it is, I'm already looking forward to our group's visit next year. read more

Inndulge is in the heart of the Warm Sands area of Palm Springs, really close to Palm Canyon and Indian Canyon Roads (where most of the hangouts are in PS.) Yester-year: From 1958 until 1995, the hotel was known as Golden Palm Villa. It was the winter home for many repeat guests year after year, most of whom would stay for weeks at a time. In 1995, the property became InnDulge Palm Springs and began catering to a gay male clientele. Today: John and Jean-Guy, who bought InnDulge in 1995, were more than friendly (Jean-Guy was the more outgoing one, John a bit more reserved.) In their 28 year relationship, they have spent the last 14 years developing a book of repeat clients while trying their best to welcome newcomers. 2011 Update: Inndulge was successfully sold but I haven't visited since then. Here's hoping the new owners take this place to the next level. I'll update next time I visit. Inndulge Palm Springs still features Mid Century Modern architecture of the period, and is listed in the Historic Inns of Palm Springs guidebook. There are 24 poolside rooms of various sizes, with custom designed Southwestern decor surround a clothing optional heated (in winter) and cooled (in summer) pool and 12-man Jacuzzi, both open 24 hours for your enjoyment. Out & About has awarded Inndulge Palm Springs the Editor's Choice Award for eight consecutive years. A deluxe room (middle of the road accomodations) has a King sized bed, 1950s original kitchenette, dressing room, with walkin closet, and renovated bathroom. The kitchens are being removed within the next two years and replaced with storage/under cabinet fridge/more up to date fixtures. Although the room could use a bit more updated furnishings,paint and finishes, it was large, clean and more than comfortable. As noted above, the owners just recently added a pool-cooler, which greatly adds to the comfort of the pool water in the 117 degree heat of the Summer sun. Each morning at 7am, breakfast is served poolside. It's a great time to talk to new friends, relax and take advantage of the free WIFI service. Happy hour each evening ads a nice touch just before you "do the town". If you want to stay at a clean, well maintained, friendly and convenient Inn with options for the behaved (and not-so-behaved) traveler, then InnDulge is the place to go. I WILL return! read more

Ok first the good and then the not so good. We have been regular guests at Inndulge, beginning in 2005 and have seen lots of transitions and development in this period. One thing that has stayed constant, the love and the pride the owners take in their resort. When the former owners John and Jean Guy moved on to pastures new, they were always going to be a hard act to follow. But new owners Sandy and John have grabbed the mantle with both hands and continued the great traditions that John and Jean Guy implemented in their illustrious ownership. The nightly social, iced margerritas on a Sunday which now includes a great free barbecue. Sandy infuses the social events with his great enigmatic presence, with always a very warm welcome to all particularly those staying on their own. Right from regularly adding new beautiful foliage and flowers to just a simple tidy up, the passion and dedication is admirable. But now the not so good...In the last few years as the resort has grown in popularity so have standards begun to slip. Standard rooms are small like the one we stayed in, the pool is not appropriately heated and the in room coffee provided is diabolical. And it is simply overpriced now, other resorts offer far more for less. Starting at 195 dollars per night, the least you should expect is a decent coffee to wake you up in the morning. Continental breakfast should now encompass a cooked breakfast. Rooms should be of a higher standard, perhaps drop the smaller rooms and extend the existing and shock horror the gym with PC toilet and shower has now been dropped. This was always a popular chill out spot. Inndulge is striving to be a high end resort but still has a little way to go to achieve this. A bit of apathy on the owners part has sunk in, hey were really popular now, let's sneakily cut a few corners to earn a few more bucks. We had to check out in the end as the three of us were mistakenly put in a room for just two, I just couldn't deal with the fold up bed any longer. Nevertheless as a whole Inndulge offers a great product, but you have to cough up for the best of it. read more

First off.... This Theresa person who posted a review is crazy. Theresa, you must have brought the bed bugs yourself, cuz I just stayed there over the weekend, and this place is so clean! They actually have been remodeling all of the rooms. Also, this is a gay men's resort... So Theresa, did you really stay here? We just don't take your review seriously. Anyways, this place is amazing! My partner and I CANNOT wait to come back. Actually, I'm looking at flights for our next visit! All of the staff are so friendly,as the resort guest. We made lots of friends here. The landscaping is very nice as well. I don't think there is anything I would ask them to change. They have everything anyone would want during your stay. My partner and I were looking for a relaxing vacation in Palm Springs. After reading many reviews for multiple clothing optional places in Palm Springs we settled on indulge and we were not disappointed. The owner Sandy showed up to the resort every day at 5pm for a social hour with all the guest. He took the time out to ask questions and give suggestions for the area. Which I must say we loved every one of his suggestions. There was a feeling of home in this location. Many of the guest there are repeat guests. The staff was always friendly and hospitable. This gay resort is fantastic. The wonderful hosts John and Jean Guy make this place friendly and classy. The rooms are very comfortable, and very clean. The pool is delicious for an afternoon swim and warm enough for late night fun. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about what's to do in Palm Springs. An evening social hour where you, bring your own cocktails helps contribute to good friends being made, friendships that continue long after you have returned home to colder climates. read more
