And it is unbelievable how they keep coming up with new and different exercises. It is impossible to get bored working out here. Just couple days ago, we had 3 friends visiting from out of state, and they wanted to join our Bootcamp work out. Very flexible and accommodating, Joey(the owner) allowed us to bring our friends to work out with us(for a very modest fee) Gina was our trainer that morning and she was amazing. Me, and my wife love what she does, but our friends loved her too. They were beyond impressed! They want to come visiting more often now, just so they go to the gym with us. The studio is clean, with the right amount of fitness equipment, good vibes and background music. I really like the fact that I am not entertainment for the people on the cardio equipment, like in a gym atmostphere. Also there are not guys staring you while you are working out. I have not repeated the same exercise twice. It is a full body workout with an emphasis in core training that is fun and challenging. John stretches you before and after the workout and provides Myofascial release with a foam roller. Now I can say, I now feel energized after my workouts. I have had 5 other personal trainers in my past and, I have to say, never have I received results so quickly. I am not talking about the beefy, bulky muscles, but lean, long, sexy fit bod, which are my desired results. I have been training with Fitness Aspects for 7 weeks, twice a week and the rates are very reasonable. I decided to seek John's help due to an accumulation of various pains and wanted my 20 something year old butt back. I rarely feel my pain anymore and I am able to enjoy running with an increase vigor. John is so likeable and motivating, I really feel he cares about his clients. I so look forward to my workouts. At that point, I had persistent sciatica pain which, while not disabling, really impacted my day. As a psychotherapist, I sit all day for my job. I had started running at 48 and loved the way it made me feel--strong and "lighter"--but got a compression injury and had back surgery--which didn't help. Working with John has literally transformed my life. He is an expert trainer who is an expert in exercise physiology and nutrition. I realize now that I probably did not need surgery --the key to relieving my back pain was strengthening my core. I am now largely pain free and feel so much better. It's hard to sum up John's level of expertise in a brief post--he understands physiology, nutrition, and the body in a way no PT or orthopedic doctor seemed to. His classes are group classes but each exercise is tailored to each person's level of conditioning, strength, and injury profile. It is like having an individual trainer with the fun of a small group workout. I have learned how working out with incorrect form can cause injury. My body is strong, I have no back pain, and my overall health is improved. I worked with a trainer through Dehenzel twice a week for 18 months while I lost a significant amount of weight. And my experience with the trainer was excellent. He was responsive and knowledgeable and helped me reach a number of fitness goals. He was flexible with adjusting workouts to meet my needs on a given day, seemed excited about my progress and felt like a partner in my getting in shape. I was very pleased with the service the trainer provided and had no issues. If the trainer had any issues, I was not made aware of them. And then things went off the rails. Until last week, I was a federal employee in an agency that was hit early and very hard by DOGE. A couple months after the 2024 election, the trainer wore a t-shirt promoting Joe Rogan to a training session with me. This made me uncomfortable for a number of reasons. I view Joe Rogan as misogynistic and as supporting MAGA and especially Elon Musk. He was a voice for the "red pill" movement in early 2025. There were times the trainer and I were alone in my home and the support for Rogan made me uncomfortable. I was also under a great deal of stress at work due to DOGE and was using training sessions, in part, to help relive stress. Having a trainer promoting a MAGA influencer made that difficult. I was also uncomfortable because I took the Hatch Act limitations on my own speech and my own inability to wear political t-shirts seriously and expected people working with me in my home to do the same. I also took agency's bipartisan mission seriously. Now that I am no longer a federal employee, I feel that I can publicly express my opinion. I asked the trainer if he could refrain from wearing shirts with political messages (any political messages) in my home when he was training me. He had worn plain shirts for months during workouts and certainly had plenty in his wardrobe. The trainer argued with me, said Joe Rogan wasn't a political commentator, offensive or misogynistic and was just an interesting guy to listen to. He left after the session, and two days later, Dehenzel contacted me and said my trainer would no longer work with me and they were refunding my remaining sessions. They refused to provide a reason, or to schedule me with a different trainer and ghosted me. I am assuming that this is due to the above, because that was the last time I saw the trainer, no other explanation was offered and nothing else had changed. I had had something like 150 sessions and spent about $15,000 on training with Dehenzel without any issues until I asked my trainer not to wear political/ MAGA influencer/ red pill influencer t-shirts in my home, while training me. Then they dropped me, seemingly out of nowhere. It's hard to recommend a NOVA based company in the middle 100,000+ federal employees supporting the rights of their employees to insist on bringing MAGA into clients homes at the height of DOGE. I understand supporting your employees. But, even if the trainer (and I guess the owners given what transpired) where MAGA/Musk/DOGE supporters, they should understand how hard so many in this area have been hit by DOGE. Their willingness to ghost me as a client for what I view as a reasonable request under the circumstances to remain apolitical does not speak well to their professionalism or commitment to create a safe and comfortable atmosphere for their clients.

At first I was hesitant to make a commitment, but I eventually did and got my husband to sign up as well. The workout: It's 20 min. once a week. There are lots of naysayers out there.. but it does work, my husband was skeptical too but now he is a believer. With that little time commitment, how can you say No. That 20 mins however, is probably the most intense 20 min of your week. My results: Of course.. you cannot have a huge body transformation, if you do not get your diet in check.. but I knew that - We love food - the good and bad kinds too. So without dieting or even eating healthier, my results so far: 1. Strong- each week I get stronger and stronger. Very useful for carrying large laundry bins up and down the stairs 2. Endurance and energy- I'm not out of breath after 3 trips up and down the stairs 3. No more pain- I've had on and off upper and lower back aches, pain in my fore arms and elbows.. All supposedly from sitting and typing away. I can't even remember the last time I had these pains. 4. Despite not hitting that BMI chart ... I'm less jiggly! The best part is that despite not having a drastic body transformation, my results have been so positive without sacrificing so much time, I am encouraged to eat healthier and continue on. I thought to myself, "Are personal trainers worth the price?" My exercise history has included many methods either for fun or to lose weight and stay fit, but I had never paid for a one-on-one training session. Most recently, I had been running several times a week, but osteoarthritis in my foot led to surgery and now running is no longer a good option for me. I was reluctant to believe that only one 30 minute workout each week would change my body in a visible and measurable way and I was equally unsure if I could find a way to fit this expense into my monthly budget. I was commuting almost two hours a day and the thought of getting up at some ridiculously early time to do a workout at home or in the gym was not appealing at all. I decided I could exchange some discretionary expenses to cover the cost of a personal trainer and give the program three months to see if it was right for me. In January 2016 I started weekly sessions with Laura. I knew that the first couple months would be a slow start and I had to be patient to see results. By the time March came along, I could tell my clothes were fitting better and my husband even mentioned my muscle tone was more defined. The weekly workout was convenient and easy to manage around the rest of my life. Continuing with the sessions was an easy decision for me to make. Through the rest of 2016, I continued to increase my strength and tone of my muscles and I knew that I was on the right track. However, I still had some extra weight that would not come off without a serious change in my diet. January 2017 I changed my diet, reducing carbs and sugars while increasing vegetables and proteins. I also completed a Metagenics 28 day detox which I obtained through Inform Fitness. I have dropped over 20 pounds in four months. Now the muscle definition that is there from my weekly workouts is even more visible and my body is in the best condition and health it has been in since my early 20's. I'm not just skinny; but toned, strong and healthy. I cannot stress enough that this method works to strengthen and tone your muscles, but you also need to adjust your diet if you are looking to lose weight. The reason why I like working with Laura is her ability to communicate and motivate me and her knowledge of exercise physiology. That may sound simple but it really does make me push through even when I want to give up. She won't give up on you, and that is what a personal trainer should do, that is why it is worth the price.
