My new workout place. Conveniently located and short driving distance from my home. The facility has a wide variety of weight machines, free weights. Exercise bikes and treadmills. Very good membership prices. Weekday morning staff (Jon and Vicki) are friendly and always greet me when I come in. Facility is clean and well kept. It does have its busy times of day. Opening to 0700 is a good time to go if you want to avoid the busy times. Recommend this place for weight training and fitness. When there is a small crowd in the facility you can typically get your workout done in a good period of time. read more

I have been a onelife member for a few years, my membership allows me to use multiple locations Brambelton is one of those . It's been maybe a year since I last visited ,I was then impressed with its cleanliness , but not today . today was a different experience I found the men's locker room was fowl and disgusting . I also other areas of the gym floor dirty and large stains of the upper turf . I decided it was best not do any work out here today. On my out , I stated my concerns with the manager on duty, he stated that they don't have weekend cleaning staff during the day like during normal hours, and on sunday it's nonexistent . Needless to say,I will not be returning the location again. read more

Been noticing a pattern with the cleanliness of the locker room and showers. As the gym has gained popularity the locker room has become dirty, smelly, and just a place I want to avoid. I was in the shower today and noticed black little lines squirming on the floor. Come to realize they are worms. When I calmly addressed the front desk, the 16-18 year old kid didn't seem to care too much and disregarded me. The worms (fly larvae) are a sign of damp, dirty places. Really can't imagine myself coming back here as I enter the new year. Needs locker room renovations and attention to cleaning. read more

I've been a long time gym "hopper" in search for the perfect mix of decent equipment, classes, convenience (and obviously the energy and cleanliness that everyone else is looking for too) at any price point honestly. Onelife is by far the best gym in Northern Virginia that checks every box and more. It's beyond affordable for what it offers and has so many amenities I can't imagine it not being perfect for the average person and families but also exceeding standards for the pickier gym goer like me. My child comes with me and loves it so much too. I see people my parents age swimming in their salt water pools, regular people in their 30's like me taking classes, and serious lifters and there is plenty of availability and access to whatever you'd want from a gym. I have done their cute H20 classes with my 12 year old, he did their teen training and I've done their recover room and everything is so cute and high quality. Also their locker rooms are not gross which is a huge dealbreaker for me so I shower and get ready for work here too. I will argue with anyone about this gym and have before and will again. I've done CrossFit, orange theory, all the higher end gyms that are 5 times more per month, private gyms, bootcamps, sport and health, anything you can think of. This is the best option hands down. I am a member of the bull run location and I work in brambleton so I wanted to do both and Juli their manager added me with zero issues and brambleton is the better of the two (less crowded/bigger) but I love that I can go to both. She is so great and so kind, 10/10 goes above and beyond. If you care about staff (I don't normally) I feel like you'd not be disappointed. I will never ever go to another gym and I try to convince everyone I know to join the one closest to them! People know I'm serious because before this gym I had not one gym I'd recommend to anyone and I'd be switch the second a contract was up. I highly, highly recommend brambleton and I'm going to drag all my friends and family to see Juli because I know they'll love her and actually enjoy working out because I know more a gym space is everything and so hard to find. read more

Update: The gym has completed a $1.7M expansion and the result is amazing. The best gym in NOVA just got a lot better. Not just more equipment but more space so you are not working out on top of others. But that is not all. They added a "recovery room" that has massage and cryotherapy chairs, red light booths, massage guns, and more. I use the message chairs after each workout and after a recent injury I started using a cryotherapy chair and I was surprised at how very helpful it was in my recovery. All of this for and additional ten bucks a month. This is a great deal. If you are not a member, or are a former member, and want a great place to work out, I highly recommend you check out the new and improved gym AND recovery room. read more

Actually 4 1/2 stars. I joined this gym in 2019 upon moving to Brambleton. It's conveniently located about 5 minutes from my home. It has all the cardio, weights/weight machines I need, so 5 stars for that. Lots of classes available. Nice pool and spinning room. Staff is very friendly and helpful, especially GM Terri. As others note, many teenage and younger members, so it can get a bit crowded in the summer months and late afternoon. Being retired, I usually go weekdays, late-morning to mid-afternoon, so it's not a problem for me. Overall, I'm very happy with this facility. read more

Almost everyone has bad gym etiquette. Every weekday from 4:30 to close there are just weights, bumpers, stretching pole, etc all around. People don't wipe down their sweat from the bars and benches. (Like sir, your booty cheek imprint is on the bench, I know you saw it when you got up. How can you make direct eye contact with it and just leave it?) From squatting in crocs to deadlifting in sandals, it's kinda ridiculous. The machines need a deep clean. The crevices got crusty dust particles. The floors are mopped often though. The gym doesn't have signs like 'put away your weights' at every mirror but maybe they should. I don't mind the hoard of high schoolers but this is not the gym that will get you inspired to actually go in and work out. You'll be looking around for weights someone left in the corner most of the time. I think this is really the end of me and Onelife. Toodalooo-- you've been informed. read more

I have been member of Onelife Fitness for many years. I've used Personal Training, the aqua classes and the fitness classes. I am currently preparing for a major surgery and must thank my personal trainer, Mike K, LaToria T. and Jennifer W. for helping me prepare for this surgery by focusing on strengthening my core and improving balance issues. My Cardiologist stated that the combination of Isometric work with Mike and the agua aerobics classes will make me an excellent patient to have a smooth recovery. I have worked with other trainers at OneLife and they were AMAZING, but Mike came into my life at a perfect time. His care and attention to understanding how make me have more confidence in myself, which has in turn allowed me to move along further to my goals, and has made a time that could have been scary, turn into something that has made me successful. I really wanted to like this gym given how close it was but it has been nothing short of disappointing. The gym is always busy and the machines feel rusty. The sign up process is tricky that there's a one year sign up and an early termination fee of 3 month's membership. There's way too many teenagers loitering around near the weights and machines, that it is impossible to find availability to squat or deadlift or use any machine beyond cardio. It's an average commercial gym. Loudoun county has some nicer fitness clubs but for the middle price range this is the best bang for your buck. All the equipment you need is there and functional condition. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and overall gym etiquette is lacking. While they have double digit staff members there every day I am not quite sure what they do. I have seen members re-organize the weights and re-rack weights more than any staff member. You have members using chalk and slamming weights weekly even though they ask you not to. But staff doesn't monitor so why would you listen? Packs of high schools gather around a piece of equipment for 15 minutes in crocs and flip flops. Overall it's a gym that gets the job done but doesn't doesn't do much else. You cannot get a workout in after work and evenings, the place is full of high school and middle school kids just taking up space with their faces buried in their phones instead of getting through their working out. I've been coming to this gym on and off for many years, even when it was called Sport and Health. It is a solid gym, with mostly everything you need to get a good, quality workout. They also have lots of classes available, with good instructors. There is a basketball court and two small swimming areas (one outside). The prices and contracts are reasonable and competitive with other gyms. The facilities are kept neat and reasonably clean, and they keep a steady supply of disinfectant wipes to wipe down equipment between use. The manager, Terrie Lentz, is very nice and responsive. I've had no issues with this gym. The reviews about lots of teenagers are somewhat true, although I'd wager they are much, much better behaved than most other parts of the country. I've personally never had a problem, although I'd recommend the management make more of an effort to emphasize not to camp out on equipment in between reps looking at your phone. Of course, this isn't just teenagers doing this! The only other thing I'd recommend is to make sure all TVs and equipment are working at all times. 99% of the time, all equipment is in good working order, and when broken, it is fixed in short order. However, there is one TV upstairs that has been out of service for more than a year. Since it is precisely one area where I work out the most, it would have been nice to have it work. Overall, I'd say you'll be happy with this gym, and if you have any issues, they'll be minor. read more

I'm not sure why there are any bad reviews about One Life. I love it. I go every morning to 8:30 am classes. They have awesome instructors and we all have a lot of fun. The staff is great! Terrie does such a good job trying to keep everyone happy. I feel like if there is a bad review it's because someone got mad they couldn't get in for free and aren't interested in joining. If I have ever had an issue with anything she always takes care of it right away. Jason is also awesome. Juli is the best. She listens to all the members and finds solutions. The App is awesome and easy to use. Classes are super fun and challenging. I don't do machines but it seems like anyone I know that does is happy. My friends bring their kids to the kids club and the kids love it. I recommend Brambleton One Life Fitness to everyone. i always feel happy walking in the front desk staff is always friendly and I feel happy walking out. I look forward to going every morning! We came over to Onelife when our Ashburn Gold's gym closed. The front desk staff at Onelife is always friendly and welcoming. I especially come for the classes, including Zumba (LaToria), Barre (Kim), Yoga stretch (Kim), and cycle strength (Lily). All the instructors are friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging. Each instructor changes up the exercises to keep it fresh. I would like to give a shout out to Lily for the cycle strength class on Thursdays. Her cycle class was the very first cycle class I have ever taken. I have been so intimidated to take a cycle class in the past. The first day she took the time to help me set up my bike and talked to me after class to answer my questions. She is very encouraging and challenges us but never makes anyone feel intimidated. I keep coming, and each time I progress a little more. I am very happy with the move to Onelife! read more

I have been in the industry for 20 years but joined OneLife initially as a member after a bad experience working in another fitness facility. I observed management, trainers, & members for quite awhile before I signed up to train with Rhys Gully, who brought me back to life as a runner. But it was after watching management enforce their family friendly policies on no cell phone use, swearing, and no sitting on the machines, that I considered applying. They are honest, never hiding or swindling money from the members, EVER (I have worked for other companies that did), & keep a clean, positive atmosphere. I was trying to use the bench at the free wright area. This kid was standing over me with his arm crossed staring. After my first set he was like "Are you done? Can I please use the bench now?" So I said ok and stop to move somewhere else. This is really not a gym for those whole's really looking to do some serious workout. It's more like an after school playground where kids can come and hangout with friends. Seem like there's no age restriction. Young girls wearing tights, knowing no shame. A lot of kids! Very hard to workout I had never been to a gym like this one. Really regret signing up but stuck with the 1-year contract. Only way I can really use this place is to go very early in the morning or during school hours! Lol!! This gym's hours does not make sense! During weekdays it closes at 10pm, which is fine. Kids working there have to go to school early in the morning right? Why does the gym opened late and closes so early during the weekends???those are the time when customers are off and wants to really use the gym, even til late at night. Went to above for personal training. met with Kristine Perry Kristine did not advise of the free training session clearly stated on their website. Instead within fifteen minutes she pulled out a contract and said sign here. She asked how many days I wanted, did not ask if I wanted 30 minutes or an hour so she filled in an hour . She knew I was going out of town so I was a week away from even starting but she charged my account $624 next day A week later I went to first session and had blood sugar issues as diabetic I advised I did not think could continue . Kristine was going to process refund but talked to fitness director Abigail Lenderman and the two conjured how they could keep funds I was never given the free training session offered on web site and was never afforded the 3 day right of recission afforded by consumer protection laws read more

Coming from lifetime, I'm already ruined. I went in tonight for a brief try after dropping 150$ monthly with LT, and rocky was nice, and the staff, but they're missing some necessary equipment I use every day. While this gym is one of the only others with a whirlpool in the area, I did not want to get burned as I was walking into the pool room as they were pouring the product into the water. The large amounts of paper towels overfilled trash bins, huge waste... with leaking squirt bottles, and my hands smelling like Windex we. You all could improve the quality considerably by having Clorox commercial wipes. The biggest turnoffs were a facility full of high schoolers. We all try to build community at the gym, but this place wasn't the right vibe for me. The final nail in the coffin was the membership prices not matching the websites with substantial one-time initiation fees, yearly maintenance fees, and a 12-month commitment with the threat of going to collections if I cut the card early; they did tell me they've overturned balances for people rejoining in the future with cancelation balances. I was done when he said, "the prices are only for a limited time!" Haha, "I'm a salesman too, I said. For me, the experience was much on the negative I cut my workout early and went to LT. I couldn't find bicep curls, pec flys or dip starts. The only thing I was able to find is cable crosses which is a high chance of injury for fly presses. I've been a member of this gym since I moved into the community almost 10 years. It's well managed with a good team of trainers and group class instructors. I've never had a bad class experience. Classes sometimes get large and crowded so I recently joined the Zone 4 add on- while it's a little bit more expensive I like the more focused attention. That works for me personally. Jason is always helpful and there a lot. Zone trainers Sarah and Kristine are amazing. They really are dedicated to your fitness goals. Can't get a better advocate. read more

We've been members for almost 7 years and have utilized all parts of the gym including Kids Club, classes, basketball, personal training, along with strength/cardio equipment. We've had a mostly great experience over our time there and have loved getting to know all the great people who work there along with other members. I will say that there have been a few things that have been frustrating as things have started to get back to normal. Specifically with Kids Club, we love the morning ladies who work there but they definitely need more help. There have been days where only one person is working and there will be a lot of little kids in there- it is just way too much for one person to handle. Not to mention, if there is an emergency and she needs to go get a parent or call them or even go to the bathroom herself, it is nearly impossible for her to do any of those things. One day this week the one employee who was supposed to be there didn't show up in time and we ended up having to take our kids back home. That is unacceptable to me when we are paying extra for this service. Also, Kids Club now opens at 8:30. That has definitely become a problem because classes start at 8:30, and it is pretty much impossible to get to get to a class on time. I know that sometimes the ladies try to get there a few minutes early but it would be nice if it could at least officially open at 8:15. Pre Covid, Kids Club opened right at 8:00. Again, the people who work in there take good care of the kids and are very sweet, but they need more help and support. read more

This place is a dump and for the price they charge I wouldn't recommend. Sauna Is broke down 50% of the time. Don't try bringing anyone or they are going to try and charge $20 which is outrageous.
