The machines are on the older side, but still in working condition and well maintained. The lobby is oddly large, almost wasted space, not sure if there's a reason for this. The locker room is large and well maintained. They offer different classes which is always a plus. Plenty of parking available, shared by neighboring businesses.

They are always just sitting or standing behind desks and never look up or acknowledge anyone. I actually tried signing up here a couple years ago and sat in the waiting area for 20 minutes but no one would come talk to me so I gave myself a tour. That led me to go elsewhere. However, I recently joined the new OneLife in Ashburn so I have access to this location and have tried it a few times. Walking into this OneLife is like going into an alternate universe. I have been to four other locations in Virginia and Maryland, all of which are spacious, clean and have modern equipment. However, this Sterling location is cramped, messy, and the equipment is so worn out. Many machines have handles falling off of them, or benches are tough to adjust, that kind of thing. Personally, I will only go here if I have another reason to be next to it, and otherwise will just go to the Ashburn location.

Location: Sterling where the old Champs used to be in the corner of towncenter plaza right off Route 7 and Dranesville. It's an easy to get to and convenient location for parking and close to lots of restaurants and even a grocery store. It's way bigger inside than it seems it would be given it's actually 2.5 floors with a basement sort of level. 5/5 Cleanliness & Maintenance: This place is a WRECK. Very dirty, broken doors off lockers, stuff strewn about the locker rooms everywhere, lots of puddles and stuff, and just very dark and dingy inside. 1/5 Equipment Availability & Condition: Good range of stuff and everything seemed to be in working order. I didn't have to wait long on many machines. 4/5 Staff & Customer Service: Front desk guy was very friendly and was helpful in quickly accessing amenities. 5/5 Atmosphere & Crowd Levels: Moderately packed; mostly a diverse and younger crowd. "TL;DR"? BODY20 is the real deal. Truth in Advertising…read more Longer version: having learned of their existence in 2023, after I'd already gotten in the pipeline for gastric sleeve surgery, I held off on setting foot in their Sterling/Potomac Falls location. A week after the procedure (Feb 19, 2024), so Feb 26, I contacted BODY20 expressing my interest in trying them out, once I exited certain post-operation "phases" and could engage in more intense exercise again. I was immediately struck by their enthusiasm, almost frustrated that at the time, I couldn't match it. Fast forward a little further to late April and hitting my halfway point in terms of desired weight loss. I made an appointment and set foot in their location May 6. Kevin rolled out the red carpet and showed me everything that would be involved if I signed up, from their high-end InBody scale and all its measurements, to the real focus, the proprietary "suit" to deliver the electrical muscle stimulation and all the promises attached to it. Now I walked in plenty skeptical, as the chain makes some tall claims about getting "1-2 hours" of traditional exercise in a 20 minute window. What can I tell anyone other than, despite how seemingly unrealistic that claim may initially sound - they underpromise and overdeliver?! I'll never know what my highest body fat percentage was, as only my weight and BMI were measured during the pre-surgery process. I can say with no fear of contradiction, that in the nearly 9 months since I set foot in the Potomac Falls location: I am down an additional 60 lbs overall, and *all* of that is fat, as measured by the InBody scale. Body fat percentage has dropped from 46 to 30%. Visceral fat, that most life-threatening form, is down from 24 to 11, well within the healthy range. All this has been accomplished while maintaining muscle mass to within 2 lbs of where I started - a minor miracle in itself, given the limited calorie intake necessary to the gastric sleeve recovery process. As I've shared with the staff at different times, with the role that muscle mass plays in avoiding "regain" down the road after this sleeve process, BODY20 is proving to be a great insurance policy to help make certain that my success is not reversed down the line. Their monthly membership is like a premium I pay to help increase my likelihood of success. From Lisa to Seth to Fahmida and Kevin, everyone I've dealt with to date at the Potomac Falls location has been equal parts knowledgeable and informative, they know what they're doing and they know how to get the best out of you, so long as you show up and do your part. I can't recommend them highly enough so if you're on the fence - get off, make an appointment, and try them for yourself. I wasn't sure they'd be able to deliver on their promises, but they've gone from being something I intended to use "in the background" of my other fitness endeavors, to being the backbone of the latter, and I work my other efforts around them!

Over the years, I've been a member of many gyms, but after joining Body20 just over a year ago, I can honestly say I've never felt better. I've trimmed fat, built muscle, and even like to joke that I have a "4-pack" for my abs. If you're after a workout that actually delivers results, look no further! The intensity of the Body20 workout is no joke. While you might not feel sore the next day, trust me--the day after, you'll definitely feel the burn. It's the kind of workout that leaves you feeling accomplished and empowered. Even better, the results come fast and are incredibly noticeable. What truly makes Body20 stand out, though, is the staff. They're patient, encouraging, and always know how to push you just a little further. Kevin, the owner, is amazing--he treats his employees with respect and is always available to answer any questions you might have. His commitment to both his team and customers is evident and adds a lot to the overall experience. If you're curious about Body20, Kevin offers free demo sessions, so there's no financial commitment to try it out. It's the perfect chance to see if this workout works for you. Living in the DMV area can be stressful, and maintaining my health has been essential for staying balanced and positive. Instead of letting stress get the best of me, I head to Body20, where I can burn it all off and get into the best shape of my life. I highly recommend Body20 to anyone looking for a real change. You will definitely see results!

I've been a member at VIDA Fitness for about a year now, and my mom is actually a founding member,…read moreso I've seen the gym from both a long-term and more recent perspective. When I first joined, the experience felt aligned with the "luxury" brand they promote. The classes are still a highlight because they're engaging, well-run, and one of the main reasons I've stayed. I also genuinely like the bar area, and most of the food I've had has been solid. That said, the biggest issue for me, and it's a major one... is cleanliness. It's honestly disturbing to see the same stains on the gym floors day after day. I understand the flooring is a neutral color, but that's not an excuse for it to look visibly dirty all the time. The areas near the windows and equipment are especially bad. At $200/month, I expect a consistently clean facility, and that standard is not being met. The bathrooms are no better. The floors often look stained and unclean, and there are almost never toilet seat covers available in the women's restroom. It feels like basic upkeep is being missed regularly. The cold plunge has also been an issue!! I've gone to use it before and noticed a visible film, which made it completely unusable. That shouldn't happen in a facility marketed as high-end. On top of that, the staff isn't particularly welcoming or attentive, which adds to the overall disconnect between the brand and the actual experience. To be fair, not all of this falls solely on the gym.. many members don't wipe down equipment after using it. But that's exactly why there needs to be stronger oversight and more consistent cleaning protocols in place. During the summer, the rooftop pool gets extremely crowded. The pool itself is nice, but it's clear they need more staffing during peak months. Service becomes very slow, which takes away from what could otherwise be a great amenity. As someone who works in facilities and understands operations, this feels like a management issue. There needs to be more attention to daily maintenance, cleaning standards, and overall quality control. Right now, it simply does not reflect the luxury experience being advertised. I'm willing to give it a little more time to improve, but based on my experience so far, I would rate it a 2.5 out of 5

The Reston VIDA is such a vibe. Overall, it's super clean and usually pretty dead (which is nice)…read more I've taken two heated yoga classes with Stefania and really enjoyed them. She gives a variety of posture options so that you can practice at your level. The music is very regular but given the location and demographic, I get it . Lol Every staff member I've interacted with has been pretty nice. They offer courtesy locks at the front desk if you forget yours. They also offer validation, but if you move too quickly past the front desk, you probably won't notice the little scanner that allows you to just scan your thing. Unfortunately, I paid for parking my first time here because I didn't know and nobody told me, but it's all good. I will say, this location is very different from all other Vida locations I have been to. This one definitely gives a more luxurious feel and can honestly be treated quite a bit like a spa. My main complaints are as follows: the actual restroom section of the locker rooms need work. There is absolutely no reason that every time I have been there, I struggle to find a stall with toilet seat covers. Usually, there is only one stall that is stocked with toilet seat covers. And several of the other stalls are usually full of unflushed feces and urine. Also, I do not know what the small towel situation is here. The first time I came, they had literally no towels. I even asked the front desk and they informed me that they did not have any at that time. Very weird because locations like the one on U St. always have a ton. The next time I came, their towel offerings looked very sad. They had like two or three in each little shelf section of the towel shelf. Again, not what I'm used to from Vida. Important notes: -the steam room and sauna are both co-ed. You've been warned. I was a little shocked the first time I went in there and saw that it was full of men. Some of them were literally just wrapped in a towel from the waist down. No thank you. -they have an ice bath, which is amazing. I enjoy my time in there. You are supposed to make reservations through the app. However, I have been walked in on multiple times despite having the door closed while being there. I also see people just walk in randomly to use it and when I check the app, there are still reservations for that timeslot, so it seems like people just use it whenever they want. I do not like that. Overall, it's a really nice location. You can tell it's newer and they are still working out some kinks. But please get some toilet seat covers.

There was a guy actively mopping the locker rooms and wiping stuff down, and I saw other staff proactively wiping equipment down. 5/5 Equipment Availability & Condition: Good range of weights and equipment, though some cables seem to be 2:1 ratio and kettlebells, EZ bars, etc., don't go up very high. They had at least 4 machines out of order including a couple leg machines that caused me loooong waits for leg day while teenagers looked at their phones on the machines forever. 2/5 Staff & Customer Service: Very friendly and helpful staff who seemed to be doing a lot around the gym other than just standing behind the desk. 5/5 Atmosphere & Crowd Levels: Moderately packed; mostly a diverse and late teens to mid-30s crowd; this location is so large the crowd size is not a huge issue though, if they'd fix the broken equipment. 3/5 Amenities: No available hydromassage beds or chairs between what was being used and several being out of order. The lady at the desk told me "we only have one working unit" in a way that seemed like that was just normal and they never maintain them? Feel like that part of the black card advertising is a scam because PF does not seem to maintain them at all. They had a coin-operated massage chair limited to 10 minutes, however, it doesn't even recline at this location. 1/5

I didn't - I felt empowered! I worried that I wouldn't be able to execute any of the exercises in my first program. I could - I had no idea how strong I could be! There are a million reasons I love this place, but a few of the standout differentiators for me are these: Personalized approach - programs that are tailored just for me, and only for me, to challenge me each and every time I come in based on MY goals, MY strengths, and MY limitations The coaches!!! - the most knowledgeable, professional, approachable, and encouraging coaches - every single one of them. Since coming back (I was a member years ago before moving out of the area), I'm in a happy place... Workouts are fun, I love that each program is like its own mini-challenge to push through, and I can see progress every time I read my sheet (even if it's small changes in weights lifted going up). I'm no longer bored or writing off workouts because there's that feeling of "whatever, I can do it later, it's just the gym". The community is unreal. I've never been in one place with so many people that are allies and champions for each other, coming from so many different places with so many different goals. And of course, the coaches are awesome and help build a supportive environment that's incredibly welcoming and realistic.
