This review is long overdue - I am not the one to give 5 star reviews freely, but there is no one more deserving of this coveted spot than Ivan Martinez, owner of Innovation Cabinetry Installs. We found Ivan after searching for the right Ikea cabinet installation company for some time. He was showcased in a custom Ikea cabinet manufacturer page but what set him apart (and ultimately made us choose him vs. others) was the quality and attention to detail that was evident in the pictures from his previous jobs. Our installation consisted of various materials, standard Ikea Sektion boxes, custom acrylic upper doors (push to open), and custom white oak base and tall cabinets. When the job started, Ivan was quick to point out seemingly minor improvements to the original design that made a big difference: we were able to remove/relocate filler pieces that resulted in a cleaner installation. Which brings me to my second point. Whenever there was a decision to be made, however minor, Ivan took the time to stop and consult with us regarding how we wanted to proceed. This is a refreshing take as oftentimes contractors make their own choices without the client's input, resulting in costly changes down the road. Just like the pictures during our installer search, Ivan's work displayed a keen attention to detail. Ivan takes pride on his work and cares about the final product. For instance, after he installed the uppers, we felt that some of the gaps around a corner cabinet section were a bit bigger than the rest. Mind you, this was not a simple door adjustment, but Ivan took the time to remove previously installed side panels to make sure everything lined up precisely. I am so glad I found this company and will be using them again on our next install. This review is for installation of IKEA PAX closet system with custom doors from The Cabinet Face. I interviewed four others and after checking out his photos, and talking to him, could tell he has a real passion for his work and it really showed when he was here. I also have uneven flooring and a very uneven closet cavity that he was able to work with. Ivan did a series a complex cuts for the wood to fit so precisely. He cut a piece of trim to have waves and curves in it to align with the top wall! Also, he made sure to use cutting techniques that make the wood joints seamless. He really has crazy attention to detail. I am really happy how our closet turned out! Also his pricing was more reasonable, other contractors were trying to charge me for things I didnt need. I thought the work and attention to detail was so good I ended up adding more money to my payment. I just felt what we got was more than worth what he quoted me and I never do that. I def will use Innovation and Ivan's services again for another project and will be reccomending him to others. read more

Ivan is a rock star!! Our IKEA kitchen install required meticulous precision. Ivan literally had less than 1/4" of flexibility to work with given the large beam at the end of our kitchen. Ivan did the most beautiful job on my kitchen installation. I had ordered new cabinet doors, drawer fronts and panels to update my discontinued Ikea cabinets. I hired Ivan because he came highly recommended and offered me very valuable guidance during my design/ordering process with the manufacturer. Ivan's extensive knowledge saved my project on numerous occasions, solving issues as they came up during installation. He further enhanced my project with additional fixes beyond the call of duty. He also ordered and installed pull-out shelving, saving me another step. Regarding the cabinet knobs and pull hardware, he was very precise in drilling holes and the placement is perfect.
