There is preferred parking near the entrance for zero or low emission vehicles. Unfortunately, the electric vehicle charging ports are no longer in this location. The parking staff said the chargers are in a remote parking area. Never did find them, but fortunately did not need them. We arrived on Sunday around 1 pm and there was no wait. They do activate a waiting list when needed that you can get on as you drive there. Very few reservations are available. Maybe for large groups. But don't worry, they have a lot of seating and the tables turn over readily.

As we waited for our food , we went to do a self tour of the brewery and that was great to see the history of Sierra Nevada and the different rooms that the processing occurred in. After our food we cashed out and took the remainder of our beers to their outdoor area . Once you pass by their amphitheater you went down this trail towards a little river and we went farther still and there was this whole field of yard games and tables that you could sit and enjoy right next to the rushing river (French Broad River) . All the staff that we encountered with was very nice and knowledgeable. Just a really fun atmosphere to be in where even the staff looked like they were enjoying themselves . I've never walked away from that much liquid, ever. I only chose from the "hoppy" section of the menu. I didn't like any of them. They were all light, barely any body, and in most cases, downright undrinkable...to me. I wanted to have a look around Cullowhee, and Innovation had opened a spot near (on) campus. This time I decided to head over to the dark side. The Black Balsam Porter was on special, so, I went for a taste. It's solid. It's got a slight bitterness on the backend, but the rich maltiness more than makes up for it. Honestly, it's almost rich enough to qualify as a stout. Service was super-friendly, the spot is small inside but they use the space well with a decent size bar, picnic tables, some high tops, and still some room for a foosball table. I sat outside on an awesome fall day. Parking challenges aside (and it's a serious challenge, although there is a small pay lot across the street), this is a great spot for a beer when visiting campus.
