Ok, I'm not sure why I didn't check in, but it could have been because I was in my element and caught off guard from all the wine and awesomeness this little wine cellar had to offer. As you walk down the little stairs, you have a selection of cigars and then its into a room with wall to wall wine bottles from pretty much all over the world along with Champagne. We LOVED this place. We got lucky finding this gem when we visited Waynesville. In the very back of the wine room, there are some little sitting areas spread all around for you to sit and enjoy either a glass/bottle of wine, champagne, or heck, even a cold beer. They also have a little menu if you need a snack. On some nights they have live music. We didn't get the chance to experience that, but as we were leaving, they were getting set up for it. Bummer. We could have spent hours in this place checking out all of the bottles of wine. I wish we could have tried them all too! I am not sure that you will not find a wine that will not suit you. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Waynesville. We have already recommended this place to several people that were going to be in the Asheville area to come and check it out. read more

What a treasure. Wonderful selection of wines, including a collectors section. They keep the store in Cellar like temps to keep the wine well. It is also a cute small plates venue (cheese with your wine??) and some evenings they have live music. It's a great place in a adorable downtown. Came in for a light dinner and live music on a Saturday night. Our server, Tracy, was solo serving the whole house and def. got her cardio in while still keeping up with everything and remained so pleasant the entire time. She really did a superb job and even suggested a peach Moscato that I fell in love with! To eat, we got the bruschetta app, Margherita flatbread, and capresi panini with added prociutto. It was all really good and the piano player/ singer was fun. I'm really glad we found this place and would def recommend for a cool night out! read more

They have an incredible selection of wines from around the world, with a wide variety of price points to suit nearly every budget. There's even a small room dedicated entirely to port! If you're looking for an extra-special wine, be sure to check out the reserve section in the very back. Here, you'll find well-aged wines... lots of reds from California. The dust on the bottles speaks for itself. I felt like I'd been transported into a magical, Harry Potteresque shop... but with wines instead of wands. My husband and I went for New Years Eve, and to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were very excited about the menu, and really looking forward to dinner. The app, and the soup were good. For our main, we chose the Beef Wellington. It is one of our favorites and I actually make it myself for special occasion. This Wellington, was NOT good. First, we weren't asked the temperature we wanted, it was just presented to us. It wasn't wrapped in a puff pastry, it was sitting on a pastry square with a triangle puff resting on top. It was extremely over cooked to the point, it tasted like pot roast instead of filet. Also, wellington is not served with corned beef, it should have been wrapped in prosciutto. The desserts were also disappointing, gelato is not the same as sorbet. We have no problem paying for a good meal, this was not that, and it was still a $300 night. Very disappointed! read more

We had the best experience here. The live music playing The Beatles was great and the food was excellent! I loved being in a true wine cellar underground. I ordered the Braised Lamb and it was the best lamb I've ever had. The red wine sauce gave it an amazing flavor. We also ordered the Margarita Flatbread which was good (kind of bland), the Spinach Dip was very good, and the award-winning Mushroom Bisque was very good. The Cheesecake was also great. Wine was temped as it should be and great. Will definitely be back! read more

This is a small, high-end wine shop. They specialize in reserve and aged bottles. They also seem to specialize in old world wines and California wines. If you're looking for a special occasion wine that's a few years old, you'll be overwhelmed with options. They have a small, decent craft beer selection. They do carry a few of my favorites, including Rogue Brewery limited releases and wine from Justin Vinyards in California. I don't find the store layout to be very easy to navigate nor the wine display to be very good. The owner is happy to help you, but this isn't the kind of store where you're going to get a wine 101 introduction and lots of printed descriptions of the wines that are available. read more

My wife and I were looking for a nice meal where we wouldn't have to dress up too fancy and we found it. We didn't plan to take home any wine, but their selection is excellent and we took home several bottles and had one with our meal. The $7 corking fee seems a little high for a bottle purchased on-site, but they did make us aware of the price before we bought. Their Port and Vintage selections are well worth the trip. Our waitress knew the menu and was friendly and helpful without intruding on our romantic meal. The lamb and potato gnocci was amazing!!! Nice looking place and was really looking forward to drinks, dinner and music after our white water rafting event during the day. Good wine and beer selection and a good piano player and singer. Then came dinner, my g/f who never complains, softly whispered that her meal was barely above room temperature. I ordered the steak marsala and it also was barely warm. I got our waitress and she offered to have it "reheated", my g/f asked how and was told they would microwave it. I asked for the owner and she had two new dishes prepared and they were on the table in less that 5 mins. They were properly heated at least. The portion sizes were incredibly small, you could have placed the entire meal in the palm of your hand. Very bland with very little if any seasoning. No bread was offered with the meal. The owner never came back to ask if she could do anything to make it right after such a disappointing experience. I would actually compare the meal to a Healthy Choice microwavable dish in quality but with less quantity. I let her know of my disappointment as I left but it was too late and she offered no reasonable excuse for such poor quality and service. My advice would be to have a wine or brew but skip dinner and save yourself the disappointment and money. Our ham sandwich left over from the day of rafting saved the evening. read more

I ate here with my boyfriend during a short weekend getaway back in April and we still talk about this place! We go to a lot of restaurants, but this one really stands out. The wine selection is fantastic, servers are knowledgeable, food is really, really good, and the atmosphere is fantastic. When we went, there was a couple singing folk music. We made reservations weeksll in advance for a birthday celebration and we were told we would have a private area but we ended up sitting in the front of the restaurant. Then the owner/manager was SO RUDE when we told him we had one extra party member. He made a huge scene about it then he goes outside and grabs a plastic garden chair. Our food came out all separately like 30 minutes in between. When I finally got my food it was cold. This was a large party of 16. They could've made a ton of money off of us instead treated us like complete crap. At the end of the night the owner then tried to take a chair from our table while a party member was out smoking. The owner then got into a confrontation with our party when we tried to explain that they were returning and would need the chair just telling us we could find our own chair! The birthday girl ended up leaving in tears the owner was so RUDE!!! What horrible service it was and so uncalled for how the owner treated us!!
