Cool brewery with good service! Food truck has great food. We will be back for another long neck!

Going out lately means more beer flights and i definitely got that here. Close to the airport while waiting for my delayed flight stopped here for some flights. Took a seat by the bar but they also have regular seating and outdoor seating as well. Cold a refreshing just like I like my beer and plenty to choose from. Seasonal options and permanent ones. And to wash down the beer they also have food. Games if you get bored. Great stop on my craft beer tour. read more

An unassuming little bar on the highway into Cherokee. Order at the bar. The bartender was super personable and remembered everyone's name. Unfortunately they were not serving any Angry Elk beer when I visited and the tap list was out of date, but I enjoyed the beer I ended up with anyway. A food truck out front provides burgers, wings, and other dishes. I had the chicken quesadilla. It was good. The dining room is cozy, seemingly frequented by the locals. Plenty of tables as well as bar seating. read more

Food was okay, but doesn't seem like it's actually a brewery. They had other beers on tap, but nothing they brewed

Would give zero if could. We were told the bartender would come to us if we didn't order at the bar - yet we sat 15 minutes at a table and didn't even get an introduction from the bartender, or anyone else. Very disappointed, considering the reviews from here. read more

We stoped here thinking we were going to get some food however we waited patiently and we didn't get any service We asked if we order at the bar and the lady said yes but never took our order. She proceeded to take 2 other drink orders for customers that arrived after us. We didn't feel welcome here at all. We finally left without receiving service. read more

They now offer food from a couple of food trucks that looked and smelled really good. The interior bar stools had been nicely upgraded the bartenders were friendly. There was an odd smell within the bar and the bathrooms are open to anyone and the toilets are unstable. Nice place for locals. read more

Honestly was a bit disappointed in the selection of beers available. They were all light, and they didn't have too many local beers there. They were out of multiple of the beers we wanted. I will say, the wings were really good. The ambience was a bit... rough and they were out of soap in both bathrooms :( Overall, I was a bit disappointed and would like to see some improvement. Angry elk is no longer brewing beer. It's more of a tap room but we were able to find beers we enjoyed. The bartender, Angel was friendly and personable. The women's bathroom toilet was unstable and the bathroom needed a good cleaning. I had a steak quesadilla-it was good. My husband had the smoked naked chicken wings-also good. Pluses and minuses but overall, an enjoyable meal. read more

Really bad experience. Should have never come here. - This "brewery" doesn't serve their own beers. - The place looks a trailer park trashy location. - Beers were overpriced ($7.50 is a lot, even these days). - Their burgers was one of the worst I have ever eaten. Shoe leather. - Worst of all, they ignore the tip I wrote on the check, adjusted it and charge my card the wrong amount. Essentially turning $24 check into $44 check. I called to complaint and they lied through their teeth about it. I ended up doing a charge back and canceling my credit card. Skip this place, for your own sake. read more

Right after the fourth of July and decided to come back a second time. WOW what a difference a year makes. It has now turned from a mom and pops brewery to a full fledged liquor dive bar. Most of the original in house brews are not there, I doubt if they even brew anymore. Owner lets his personal dog up on the tables, feet and all. I am stunned...I used to like this place, but not anymore. If you are doing a brewery tour, you should skip this one. The former Angry Elk is nothing but a memory. The only two star redeeming grace is they are pet friendly. read more

Don't waste your money if you're expecting a brewery. They were out of their own beers and had a limited selection of local rotating taps, several of which were 99% head. Too many other local options to waste your time at this place. No excuses from the ownership will bring me back. read more

We finally got a chance to visit this mom & pop brewery outside of Cherokee while on our way to a concert at the casino. There is a large covered patio as well as a spacious taproom and bar area. We ordered the hazy IPA & jalapeño pale ale. Both were tasty and cold. One of the proprietors was behind the bar and was friendly and engaging in conversation while we were there. No food truck was there but I understand there usually is on the weekends We will definitely be back as our cabin is only 30 minutes down the road and we like to support small locally owned businesses on our travels. read more

Bartender had a great Peru and churned out your order quickly despite being the only one there. Roomy as far as table spacing and very easy access off of 74 on 441 northbound towards Cherokee. It was Sangria Saturday so that was our intention but they forgot to make it ... ????...Strawberry cider was delicious and took some home but draft I ordered with blueberries infused was not palatable. My fault. Should've asked for a sample. Unsure if they offer that. Please know they don't have any food and rely on food trucks, although one was there that day, we've passed the place multiple times since then and there aren't consistently food trucks there. You may need to BYOF if you plan to stay awhile. read more

Seriously, the worst experience I've ever had, anywhere, ever. The bartender completely ignored us while she flirted with a guy sitting at the bar. Then after finally acknowledging us, she was completely clueless. We asked if they served flights or half pours and she seemed like she had no idea what we were talking about. She then walked away and left us waiting again. After finally returning, we ordered two beers. A kolsch and a lager. The glasses looked dirty but we sucked it up anyways because we drove 30 minutes to check out this brewery. The lager was awful and the kolsch tasted like an IPA. She could have poured the wrong beer, who knows. It must have been her first day. The entire interaction was honestly painful. We said we were just going to close out and she took our card and continued to flirt with the guy at the bar while she took her sweet, sweet time running our card. After we paid, we saw some gentleman come behind the bar and he started "hand washing" the pint glasses in the sink. I almost immediately threw up. He quickly dipped the glass into the soapy water, quickly dipped it in the fresh water and then quickly dipped it into the sanitizer for half a second. I've worked in restaurants, bars and breweries before. This is not proper hand washing for glassware. Absolutely disgusting. Between the rude, clueless, distracted bartender, the terrible beer and witnessing how they washed their pint glasses, I can't even wrap my head around how they are still in business, let alone have good reviews online! After we paid and tipped, we ended up leaving our FULL beers and walking out. Worst experience of my life. What a joke this brewery is. So disappointing we drove an hour round trip for this "brewery". And for the record, this review was written VERY kindly. read more

I am reviewing this as a bar/brewery and not a restaurant. So here is the disclaimer I searched local restaurants and this one popped up. They serve alcohol not food. A food truck was supposed to open however they were late and never was able to try the food. Just know that the brewery itself only has a few bags of chips. Let's talk about the beer. The owners / bar keeps are very friendly and you can tell this place has been a labor of love. They have a fun little bar where there seemed to be a nice mix of locals and tourist. There was a great outside sitting area and very pet friendly. We tried the strawberry cider and chocolate porter. Both had an excellent depth of flavor. I could easily see myself stopping by each time I go through town. read more
