I can't help but suspect some of the reviews might be staged. Ralph seems like a genuinely nice guy but not dependable. Upon first opportunity to confirm existing appointment Ralph reached out and asked to reschedule. I agreed if it would help him. On the day scheduled I reached out to confirm and was told by Ralph we were good. Come appointment time, no call no show. I reached out to clarify and was told he had texted somebody else. So, we rescheduled again. Come the appointment time, no call, no show. During the day I called and texted with no response. I had informed Ralph how my wife and now I had rescheduled weeks ahead in order to make this appointment..... Anybody not mature enough to keep you informed even when it's bad news or respects your time enough to schedule appropriately is not likely worth the risk if you are dependent on him keeping his word. read more

I was having trouble with compatibility going from my Honeywell to a Nest Thermostat. Contacted Nest support and though everyone was VERY friendly and very patient they were unable to diagnose the problem. I had very popular Honeywell thermostats and when wiring the nest, followed all directions. The heat would come on when it was supposed to be cooling. Nest techs had me trying to switch some wires around but to no avail. They suggested I either return the Nests or call for a pro to come out. I don't give up that easy so I went on their sight and searched for a "Pro" near me, then checked all the reviews for the different contractors. I found Innovative Air and after reading the reviews on Ralph I felt I found the right guy. I was RIGHT! Ralph, over the phone, walked me through the wiring for the Honeywell to Nest. He knew exactly what to do and waited until I tested it. When it still didn't work he asked if the Nest techs had me change any programing for the O/B wire. I told him they did and he walked me through re-programming in about 5 seconds. Turned it ON and we had COLD AIR! He never charged me, never came out and fixed what the techs that WORK for Nest couldn't do! I don't know Ralph but he is a very knowledgeable A/C tech but even more so, a Smart businessman. I really thought Ralph was different from the rest of the service people out there. Had him install a new heating-a/c unit a year back, as well as Nests in my house and casita. Well, today he sank to the bottom of the list, as he was to be here to service my a/c units (3) at 9 a.m. Texted him about 10:20 a.m. and he said he thought our appt was next week-interesting as I was leaving for the season that day. He then texted me at 12:24 to say he was about an hour away-it is now 2:55 and he still isn't here and I expect he won't be coming. Wasted an entire day for nothing. I just bought a new home in the Phoenix area and consider myself to be pretty handy, there are 3 thermostats in the house and 2 were simple enough to replace based on standard instructions. The 3rd one was a little more complicated with some wires in u1, s1, etc. I called the folks who did the original install of the system and got a really terrible response of sorry we can't help you unless we come out and charge you a service fee. I went straight to the Nest Pro installer request site and got a call within an hour and he explained what the extra wires were and what i needed to do. Now my Nest thermostats are good to go! All talk, no action. I called on a Saturday to see about getting a bid @ my house for camera installation (they are listed as Elite Nest Pro installers for thermostats and video cams and such). They said they would get back to me before Monday to set up a time to come over on Monday. Monday morning came, I texted to see if they had a time in mind. They stated Wednesday between noon and 2pm. On Tuesday afternoon, I text them to confirm the appointment. they confirm. On Wednesday, 20 minutes after 2, I check in on their status, as they are 20 minutes past their window at this point. They state by 4pm. At 5pm I check in on their status, as they are 60 minutes past their 2nd commitment. This time, they don't answer back. If your time is valuable to you as a customer like mine is, I would not recommend them. Based on this interaction, you can not rely on their commitments. I wasted half of my week waiting on them, only to have to move on to another company. read more

I cannot say enough about Ralph at Innovative Air. It was a hot August Sunday here in Phoenix when I called Ralph. Our AC wasn't working, and I thought it was an issue w/ our Nest Thermostat. Ralph started asking questions and troubleshooting over the phone. He asked me to text him some photos of our air handler to help him determine the issue. Within 15 minutes, he had us up and running again! He was able to determine the issue from the photos I sent, and he walked me through the solution which was a fairly simple one.
