I sent a message via Yelp on a Sunday night and they immediately scheduled our oven troubleshooting for Monday afternoon. Their front office staff is incredibly responsive! George (technician) arrived timely and was very thorough. He explained things to me every step of the way. He is approaching this very methodically - ok, so it's not the igniter, let's look at the next link in the chain... I saw George called out by name in other Yelp reviews, and I understand why he comes so highly recommended! He called the manufacturer to discuss his findings, but the manufacturer tech team wasn't available. He let me know he would be calling them again in the morning and that he would reach out to me with an update. I've had plenty of negative or so-so experiences with other service technicians from other companies. This experience with George / Astera is so positive that I'm posting my review even before the service is completed. Astera will be getting first crack at all of my appliance and HVAC service calls going forward.

Jimmy came and fixed my AC same-day this past summer and did great so I asked him to look into this heat issue once it started getting cold. Alan came today from Active and after troubleshooting the Furnace it was determined that the very loud buzzing noise was being created by too large of a filter, which was completely the wrong size and much too thick, which was causing the motor to overheat and causing the very loud buzzing. My neighbor installed the filter two weeks ago and installed the wrong size. Active Heating & Cooling solved the issue in 15 minutes today and did not even accept a service charge. The entire service call and solving the issue was done completely for free. They said they want long-term relationships and referrals and are not about making a quick buck.
