Upon calling for help Peter came within the hour and was able to safely restore power, advice and quote for permanent set up that old house electrical panel. By next afternoon all repair was finished. I am in forever debt for his professionalism, attention to detail and his exceptional knowledge. GSHA in Woodstock came out to quote me on a new furnace. Other quotes we're higher and they included a humidifier and cleaned my air ducts for less than my lowest quote. The furnace was installed looks great, good value for the money. They did have to come out to replace my thermostat which I could not program. Last March I had a Champion whole home generator installed. Piotr and his crew worked steadily and got the install done in only two days, and my install required base-leveling and finding somewhere to run a gas line. I am writing a response to the GSHA rebuttal of my review. As many of you know, when a company is trying to save face, they will use a mixture of partial truths, SELECTIVE omissions, and double speak. Let me include some parts that Peter SELECTIVELY left out. I did buy a complete furnace/AC/Thermostat from GSHA. In that package included a 10 year parts/labor and 5 years of maintenance. NOTHING was free. It was all included in the package price. Included in the package was a Lennox icomfort wifi smart thermostat. This thermostat required connection to wifi. Well, after a short period of time, it would drop connection. it did this every day. When a technician would conduct my maintenance, all they did was reconnect it, which I knew how to do myself. After a day it would lose connection. Other than programming the thermostat, it worked fine as long as I changed the temp and switched it on or off manually. So basically I had a $750 thermostat that operated like a $50 one you could buy at Home Depot. But as long as it worked manually, I was accepting. Then last December 2024, the screen started going in and out. Now I couldn't even change the temp or turn it on and off. So I called GSHA. They came, diagnosed and said I needed a new Lennox thermostat, with a price of around $800. According to the office manager Maria, it had to be a Lennox thermostat. When I researched the Lennox icomfort thermostats, I realized they are pretty bad products, with many people complaining about losing wifi connection. Obviously I was concerned about installing another $800 thermostat that wouldn't be any better than the old one. So I called GSHA and requested a call back from Peter at least 3 more times. I wanted to know: 1. Is this newer model $800 Lennox thermostat any better than the old one, and 2. Are there cheaper options? I think these were reasonable questions. As you recall, I was in a bind, I had an existing thermostat where I couldn't change the temp in the house. At least 3 times, Maria told me she would have Peter call me. Did he ever call me, NO. Even knowing I had a non functioning thermostat in winter, he couldn't find 5 minutes in close to a month to call me back. That will tell you what kind of customer support he provides. So at some point, I had no choice but to contact Lennox Corporate to find another local Premier Lennox Company to replace my thermostat. I called them, American Vintage Home, they came over and guess what? They installed a new non Lennox thermostat for about 1/4 of the price of GSHA. So I continued to use them for my yearly maintenance and cleaning. In my last inspection they noticed some repairs that were needed to my condenser. They called Lennox, and the parts were covered, but Lennox advised that the labor warranty was not Lennox but GSHA. Lennox Corporate advised using GSHA since there would be no charge to me. So I contacted GSHA 2 times by email, 2 times by phone, and once by certified letter asking them to complete the required repairs. Guess what happened? The great customer service of GSHA didn't even have the time to call me back. THEY TOTALLY IGNORED ME, JUST AS PETER DID A YEAR EARLIER. Why would he call me? There was no money to be made by him. Recurring theme here. No MONEY, NO PETER. So I completed the repairs with American Vintage Home, a far more reputable company than GSHA. Now in reading the contract I signed, it does say that yearly service needs to be conducted, NOT BY GSHA, but by a CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN, ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURERS REQUIREMENTS. American Vintage Home meets that requirement and is a Premier Lennox dealer. I got their name from Lennox Corporate. So in his rebuttal, Peter was using double speak, half truths, an omissions to try to justify the lack of response and support by his company. So fellow Yelpers, the bottom line is it is your money. You have a choice where to spend it. If you choose to spend it on GSHA, in my opinion you are making a huge mistake. And you will learn this the hard way, like I did, when they totally ignore you when you are in your biggest need. . read more

I had to replace my air conditioner around 10 days ago or so I thought. I had to get a couple quotes at least, even I am not to shop around for too long, especially in the 96 F weather with no cold air coming in. But since everything is around 25 years old, I would've gotten the works done - high efficiency 2-stage furnace, HVAC, humidifier, thermostat, clean the air ducks, run the PVC pipes .... . Got 3 quotes from the area businesses and these guys were priced very competitively, efficient and most importantly, I could sense the knowledge and precision. Peter came to the house the next morning after I placed a call at around 5pm. Explained everything in detail and gave several options. GSHA Services is a small shop and people who run it do pretty much everything themselves. That's how it used to be. Before Wal Mart, Costco and Amazon. So I have never mentioned the possibility of repairing the broken unit, because well, it is old, very old and so is the furnace and the humidifier. But coming myself from the solid engineering background and at least superficial knowledge of the subject, I couldn't help to dig a bit deeper into my original Carrier A/C while waiting for the quotes. Just couldn't. After going via a few not very safe, don't-try-it-at-home-type motions and experiments, I figured out the problem. That was the capacitor. The price was a couple hundred dollars, vs. well close several thousands. So I replaced the capacitor, but when the time will come to do the works, GSHA will be doing it. read more

I needed to upgrade my HVAC system in my condo. After researching the top rated choices for 2019, I contacted some local Rockford companies. None bothered to make a visit and only provided phone quotes. I contacted this company and got an immediate visit and a very detailed quote. They arrived on time, made a pro install, and cleaned the site when finished. I had a small issue with the existing humidifier working with the new system. They sent a tech out the same day to make everything work exactly as I wanted. Highly recommend this company. Oh...and they were $1500 cheaper than my local quotes! read more

we purchased a furnace from this company. it has a 10 yr warranty on parts. i contacted the manufacturer and was told that the installer will have to order the part with no charge to them and i would have to pay for installation. the owner and supervisor dj refused to order the part because i had my furnace cleaned by a company near my home that cost 30.00 less. i don't mind paying for installation of the part but, but to refuse to order it???? esp. when it's under warranty. i wish i had known this before paying 1900.00 for this furnace. read more

STAY AWAY !!! Let me tell you guys a little story about these guys "customer service". Over the summer it started raining. A lot. In my apartment. Yes, you read that correctly. My upstairs neighbor had recently had a new air conditioner installed above me and as this happened right after I reached out to him and he reached out to the esteemed geniuses at GSHA services. They assured me it had nothing to do with their installation! They sent people out TWICE to assure us nothing was installed incorrectly. I was flummoxed so I reached out to a masonry expert assuming the worst - that the block we had recently sealed was leaking. The masonry guy said everything was A OK. He showed me photos and clearly stated it was coming from the AC unit above me (thermal imaging, all the fancy stuff). I then reached back out to GSHA and they sent someone out AGAIN! Nope, in the clear, everything is perfect. This despite the fact that it only rained when the A/C was on. Hmmmmm... I then reached out to Oasis Heating and Cooling (they are incredible by the way). Who quickly identified that the incorrect AC unit had been installed backwards. Yup. The wrong unit, installed backwards. Three visits from these clown failed to identify this. Three visits. MONTHS. In the meantime, my drywall, my floors, my hallway. Destroyed. I paid out of pocket for this to be fixed. Once confronted with the clear documentation from OASIS they promised to pay me for my damages. Three phone calls later and they were going to get the money to me through their insurance claim. Then they didn't respond to my phone calls. If you want these guys to ruin your floors, generate a $7000 bill and then not respond to your phone calls feel GO AHEAD and work with them. If I were you, I'd just contact a lawyer and save yourself the middle man. read more

Extremely happy with the whole process. Installed a new furnace, air conditioner, air filter, and humidifier. Very nice people and are helpful in so many ways.. I would recommend this company to everyone I know. Their expertise in installing a new furnace and air conditioner unit was fascinating to see. Just before the 4th of July GSHA installed two Lennox heating & air-conditioning units in my building. Peter N. gave a great price, plus they are energy efficient.... The instalation took a little longer than expected, but done right. Very happy with the AC's, the apartment is more comfortable, and the condensers out side are not very loud. Love the new AC units, they are a big improvement from what was in the the building. read more
