I would not recommend referring friends or family to this office. In our experience, follow-up care was significantly delayed and extremely difficult to obtain. My family member had to call the office 10-15 times before anyone answered. Communication was poor, and concerns were not addressed in a timely manner. Due to the lack of responsiveness and what we believe to be negligent follow-up, I will be filing a formal complaint with the California Medical Board. Wait time can vary. I'm a new patient and my appt was at 11:15 but it was hard to find the entrance so I was walking around for a bit and came a little late. However the person in front of me was still waiting to be seen. So I got my vitals taken around 12:20 and left around 1:05 for my new patient appointment. This is typical clinic environment which I work in so I expected it, so try to plan ahead! I was talking to a resident I think and basically went over my health history with him and then Dr Nguyen came after and we talked briefly and what she recommended based on the problems I talked about. I got a paper to take to quest diagnostics for blood test and I got prescribed medications. Dr Nguyen was very pleasant to talk to and gave me a nice explanation of my test results and what to look out for in the future. All the bad reviews about Dr. Trang Jaqueline D Nguyen are absolutely true! The staff is the rudest I've ever experienced. A woman, named Ashley Kleefman, who claims to be "medical assistant and office manager", told me I was talking "nonsense" when I asked her why she didn't call me back as she promised two days ago. Then she disappeared in the middle of scheduling an appointment. Her rudeness exceeds my imagination. She should not work in a medical environment, or any environment demanding interactions with human beings. The worst of worst! Some say the doctor is nice, but if the doctor really cares about her patients and her reputation she would not allow her staff to treat her patients like this for so many years! I don't know what kind of patients they are dealing with, healthy people I think, because first you will spend a few days keeping calling them, and on a lucky day somebody may pick up the phone and let you wait for the doctor to review the message and then wait a few more days for confirmation. If the date and time work for you, great, if not, you need to do it all over again. Terrible enough just to schedule an appointment. Would you feel safe in such people's hands? I absolutely don't. FOLLOWUP: I called the office 10 times, all calls were unanswered, except one time, Ashley recognized my voice and hung up the phone. Then I complained to the insurance about all the frustration and the bad attitude. Within an hour, she called me back, trying to explain why she did not reply to my call. I've been trying to make an appointment for at least two months and I call every other day at least 20 times every single time and I get no replies. if I do get someone to pick me up they're incredibly rude and they put me on hold within two seconds. every single receptionist here is incredibly rude I've never been in a clinic where the doctor cares but none of her employees do.... i cant even see my doctor when i need to because of the way they work... i am disgusted at the health care system nowadays. incredibly disappointed because i just wanted some help after my car accident .... they dont care or even want to help. the fact that the way they speak to me can put my in a depressive episode is saying a lot. i cant believe that Dr.Nguyen wouldn't think to hire decent human beings. read more

Receptionist is really rude. I made an appointment and was called to change because the doctor has a meeting which I understand. We changed to 2 weeks later than original appointment and I got another call to say I had no appointment because the new appointment was for the same name patient with a different birthday. I asked for that appointment since the other patient never made the appointment so would not be possibly coming but was rudely told no and that if I come, I'll have to wait. Go here if you want to see your doctor 30 minutes late and be rushed out before you can explain why you came in: I have been to see Dr. Jacqueline 4 times this year and 3 out of the 4 times, I had to wait at least 30 minutes PAST my appointment time before I got to see her. I confronted the doctor today about it and she said she aims for 15 minutes for each patient, but "some patients are more sick and need more time". Your reasoning implies that patients like me do not have pressing concerns and that you can just gloss over our problems, take our money, and rush us out. Go here if you want your doctor to ignore what you say and go off based on her assumptions of your appearance: She asked if I regularly exercise and I said "Yes." Her response to that was to explain to me that when I increase intensity and frequency too quickly I am likely to get injuries. I already knew that. Please don't assume that I don't know anything. I tried to explain but she kept talking. Go here if you are good at arguing your way in a conversation: I always feel like I'm arguing with her to get a word in!!! Don't go to her if you want a doctor that listens to you for 3 minutes, makes assumptions based on that and then rushes you out of the session by talking really fast. Dr. J Nguyen is friendly, but when it comes to standard of care, she needs improvement. I have had multiple physicals by various physicians (PCPs or from my past work's in-house Physician, or change of providers). With my new insurance, I was assigned Dr. Nguyen. During my physical, she barely assessed me. She placed the stethoscope ontop of my clothing (the MAs did not offer a gown), she did not wash her hands on front of me (or even use the hand sanitizer) she did not properly exam me. I was not asked any of the traditional or standard questions I've been asked by other Physicians. Given that I'm a new patient, I would expect a more through health history assessment or more questions to be asked- they are lacking OR they simply don't care. There is an abundance of plants in the lobby area, some are dying- not well taken care of. The magazines in the waiting area are old and outdated. The fish tank in the lobby area needs to be cleaned. First impression yells out "sloppy and unattended". There are stacks of PAPER chart in the back as they have not gone electronic. By 2018, I believe there is a law to be electronic for medical records, at least that is what is expected in a SNF, acute, and assisted living. Maybe clinics are an exception? Either way, they are clearly behind in their charting and the clinic is in dire need of TLC. The chairs are torn, the floor needs sweeping and so much more. As for the exam room- it feels like a dirty closet. The area to draw your blood is dark, cold, and cluttered. I wish I was assigned another provider so I will be looking to change providers to someone who actually takes the time to get a better health background. Also, the doctor went on vacation so the one in her replacement would not take new patients. Therefore, you would not only have to wait until she returns, but she would be completely booked when she did return. Overall, I've had multiple providers, as my insurance changes, therefore so does my provider. This place would be at last place. read more

I chose Dr. Trang Nguyen for my sister's family care physician, and we both are very disappointed. Our phone calls often got no answers, so each visit requires us to contact the doctor's office several times; and when my sister is lucky enough to have an appointment with Dr. Nguyen, I have to help my sister to well prepare for the visit. Patients got to have everything ready, and talk continuously or he/she will be kicked out; as Dr. Nguyen is always in hurry mood. I wonder if there is anyone lucky enough to have Dr. Nguyen spending more time on them. My sister recently became quite ill, but she could not obtain the proper treatments from this doctor, only general and very vague advices. I don't think we can stay long with this doctor. read more

Dr. Nguyen is a really nice person, but her ability to find good help is non existent. My father and I have had her as a doctor for a few years and it has never changed. The staff is nasty to anyone, they literally sit behind the front desk chatting with each other and ignore you when you come in, they are completely unhelpful when you need to get your medical records and charge stupid prices for your medical records, which is ILLEGAL. Its really just a shitshow in a basket over there, so glad I moved, but its impossible to get my records from them. This place doesnt even USE EMAIL. I chose Dr. Nguyen as my PCP because of the rave yelp reviews. It is very very difficult to believe these 4 to 5 stars are real. Of those 4-5 star reviews, Dr. Nguyen doesn't really seem to spend time with her patients. I think most of my appointments have lasted less than 5 minutes. Things I did not like: -Rude staff who have blank faces when you come to the front desk. They do not know anything about insurance when they deal with those things all day long...Immunizations are preventative health and I know and researched that flu vaccines are covered under most insurance plans including mine. Yet she said vaccines are not preventative health when VACCINES PREVENT, yes PREVENT, you from getting ill to that particular virus. Time for someone to get some CE (continuing education). -Outside may not look too terrible but the inside is quite ugly. Everything is severely outdated. Nasty old waiting chairs - didn't even want to sit down but was forced due to excessively long waiting time. -EXTREMELY LONG WAITING TIMES - ****warning = expect to wait AN HOUR after your scheduled appt time to even see go into your exam room.. then wait some more while she is busy tending to other patients. Why? Dr. Nguyen clearly overbooks patients. -There's a yelp review from someone, who was expressing pain, waiting a long time when she already told them that she needed to go pick up her kids. The front desk was really rude and was literally laughing at the poor patient who was IN PAIN...Unprofessional! -Paper charts.. We are in 2014, get on with the electronic health records. It will soon be enforced and there is barely any computers in this office. An old laptop was what the receptionist was using... -I believe Dr. Nguyen's office is a site for externships for CNAs or some sort of nursing program (definitely no RN's). I needed bloodwork done and she tried 3 times before I told her to stop. My blood vessels weren't even hard to find. I opted to go to Quest after being stabbed several times without success and the phlebotomist said, after seeing my punctures, that wow, she was very inexperienced. -THIS PLACE IS NOT CLEAN AT ALL!! In the room where they take your blood, you sit in a elementary school desk (....weird right?) and you are given this nasty unhygienic pillow to put your arm on where there are BLOOD STAINS from others. Not only that, while this girl was attempting to draw blood, my blood squirted on the table and she only wiped it with a paper towel..no alcohol or Cavicide (medical disinfectant). If I were you, I'd be skeptical about those great raves about Dr. Nguyen. I can't wait to switch PCPs to find somewhere else. read more

The waiting room is not very clean with old furniture. That I could overlook if I had to but I had been going to this doctor for a couple years and she wasn't bad. She offered practical solutions. My problem is that I had to come in because I had been sick for way too long and my cough wasn't going away. I was able to get in as her 2nd appointment for the day. I called on my way in explaining that I didn't have time to wait today because I had to go to work and was behind on my work duties from being out sick. They said I was her 2nd appointment everything should be fine. I get there at 9:30 For a 9:45 appointment and learn I'm the 1st patient, I guess the other person didn't show. I update my insurance info then go to the back to get weighed and blood pressure. I'm waiting patiently but by about 10:40 I'm not understanding how if I'm the first patient what am I waiting so long for. That's when I learned she wasn't even there. Her staff was apologetic but I was livid. It's one thing to wait if she's looking at charts or whatever but she was not even there!!! No one let me know she was running late. I would have been fine to go and get my nails done next door but sitting in a cold sterile environment for an hour for no reason except the doctor decided not to show up to work? That's so inconsiderate. She called to apologize but I was at work and gave the office staff my email. Her email said; "Sorry for your inconvenience on Tuesday 12/5/17 due to an emergency, Dr. Nguyen was not on time for your appointment. Please be aware we have refunded you co payment." Wow, it sounds like she felt terrible about my "inconvenience". So I replied; "That apology is too short, insincere and quite frankly rude. I dont care the reason, emergency or not, you could have informed your staff and they, therefore, could have informed me. I understand things happen. Being late is not what I take issue with, it's the fact that my appointment was at 9:45 I learned nearly an hour later you were not even there. I took time off work to be there and it put me in bad position as I had a lot of work to catch up on.  Anything less than simply informing your staff to inform your patients is unprofessional and blantantly disresprectful to your patients and your staff who then have to respond to such things. I was not going to give you a bad review because I was told you did feel bad however this message is incongruent with that information, it is cold and dismissive adding insult to injury and therefore not good enough. I will now post a public review so if anyone is considering you for a doctor they can be informed. read more

I have been to Dr. Nguyen 3 times. The first two times I went was about 2 years ago. At that time, I noticed that the office was extremely dingy and dirty--dust on shelves, floors that needed to be mopped/swept, etc. I also notices that patient files were kept in huge bins in the hallway. It would not have been difficult to open any of them and get confidential information from them. My visit the first few times with Dr. Nguyen went ok, but only because I knew what was going on and it was easy to diagnose. I went again recently and found the office to be even dirtier than before. I had to wait 10 minutes after my appointment time to even be taken back to my room. Once I was in my room, I saw that the sharps container was filled to overflowing. Disgusting! There is a line on those that you aren't supposed to fill past, this one was spilling out. The bio-hazard trash can was dirty looking as well. After waiting for 30 minutes (yes, 30!) in my room Dr. Nguyen finally came in. I did not feel listened to at all, and could barely get a word in edge-wise. I am wary of doctors that talk over their patients, but I am eve n ore concerned about doctors that keep offices in such filthy and unsanitary conditions. Will not be going back. read more

Doctor Jacqueline is probably the nicest doctor. However, I can feel that she is not very passionate about her job. She does not care to check up on her patient when it come to getting lab tests. She said her office will call me when the test arrive however they never give me a call. I have to call in multiples times to deal with her rude office managers. Very unprofessional, how can you keep your job for that long when you act like you're still on high school. When I come to the office to pick up my lab test. The door was unlock but there was no one in the front desk. I tried screaming multiple times and I think they just ignored me until I officially called in the phone. My boyfriend was injured in a bike accident and called Dr. Nguyen's office for an appointment. He was immediately denied by the receptionist or whoever answered the phone...saying that they were overbooked and proceeded to hang up on him with not a care in the world. My boyfriend ended up going to the hospital instead. He then had to schedule a follow up with Dr. Nguyen. Luckily that appointment was ok and started on time. Dr. Nguyen told him to do another follow up or to call to get a note to excuse him for work. She insisted that he wait until after the weekend instead of giving him the note right after the visit. Well, after the weekend we called a total of 4 times to see when the note would be ready for pick up. The staff who answered the calls told us not to come in the pick up the note until it was ready. By the 4th call, the staff member said that she'll fax us the note. She never did. The office closed for the day and my boyfriend still didn't have a note for work. The staff at this facility are completely unprofessional and unreliable. read more

Dr. Jacqueline Nguyen is awesome and as well as her staff! Over the memorial weekend, my husband couldn't walk on left foot. I was able to call and get in same day appointment for him and Dr. Nguyen was just amazing. She was able to diagnose him and do blood test. She is friendly and nice and made him comfortable.. I was really scared about my appointment for my yearly check up at this place because of the reviews. And I tried looking up other doctors/clinics around my area but this place seems to have the best ratings (3 stars but that's not even great!). I saw reviews saying how slow and dirty this place is and I got really scared. However, I decided to give it a try because like I said, it has the "best" ratings. The first time I came here, I arrived 30 minutes early to my appointment - I did have to wait an extra 5 minutes before they could take me in but that's not so bad compare to other reviews. They drew my blood at the clinic, which I thought was very convenient because I didn't have to go to another place to get my blood drawn then come in. The sanitary of the place is a bit questionable..I mean, they didn't change the mats and the pillows did look quite dirty..pretty much the place looked a bit too sketchy for my taste. Anyways, after they drew my blood everything else seems fine. Dr. Nguyen was really nice and friendly and I really like her. The second time I came, I arrived 25 minutes early and they took me in right away so that was nice. So basically I would rate the sanitation of the place a 3 and dr. Awwwwww, If there are a zero star, i definitely give it to this office. I have no complaint about Dr Nguyen, she isn't very good but still ok. But the terrible thing I can't stand it about the staffs. Dr Nguyen, if you have time and read the reviews on Yelp, you should improve your service, especially the receptionist department. The front desk is very very very bad, so rude. Whenever I call to make an appointment, they keep asking me a ton of times my name, date of birth, and the reason why I have to see the doctor. It seems that they don't want to let me see the doctor. I had a scar on my chest and asking the doctor request the authorization because the medicine is pretty expensive, so I hope the insurance coverage could help me a bit. She said that it's hard to get the authorization because it's not cheap but she will try. After that, the insurance company sent me a authorization letter for my medicine. I feel so lucky. But when I see Dr Nguyen, she told me the medicine ran out, so she had to order and I have to call back to make another appointment 2 weeks later. I said ok, and I don't know I will regret about that. After 2 weeks, I call the Dr Nguyen office and some ladies asked me many questions, but don't let me make an appointment because they said the medicine wasn't coming yet. They said they will give me a call when the medicine is available. I waited for another 2 weeks but nobody call me. When I call them, someone tell me the medicine still isn't available and when i said I want to talk to the doctor, they said she took a vacation. After a month, they still tell me the medicine isn't available. I got mad and they said they will ask doctor and call me back, but they never give me a call then. I'm so angry, so I call them 2 weeks later and then told them I want to see a doctor for check up and it's ok. I wonder do they only accept check up, no the other services ??? Finally, after almost 4 months from the first appointment, I could see the doctor. NO WAY!!! That's just what I think. They said that my insurance has some problem, I have to call the insurance company. I said I want to talk to doctor about my medicine, and they told me pay them $90 first. WTH? I tried to explain to them I just want to see the doctor about the authorization because Dr Nguyen didn't give me a treament yet althought I got a authorization letter 4 months ago. They don't even listen to me and keep asking me $90. My English isn't enough to argue with them, so I left that horrible office. They are so RUDE, MEAN and UNPROFESSIONAL. I wish I know more bad adjective to describe about them. So far she is one of the worst Dr's I have ever been to very impersonal and had no interest in what her patient tells her on how they feel and what may be the issue she makes her own decisions on what she thinks it may be and prescribes something, I only selected her because it is close to home and she had great reviews but thats not always good or maybe its because im Black because everything I requested she denied and all I wanted was to see an allergist, she never order any test except blood work I told her I had allergy issues she prescribed me sinus meds and had to make multiple requests for Xrays of my sinuses just to prove to her its not my sinuses after the Xrays came back clean she sent me a prescription for nasal spray when I have chronic allergies and major inflammation and swollen nasal passages then me wife called and she blew her off never returned her phone call, and she works for PAMF and has never had this type of issues ever I will be making a formal complaint with the proper departments because I was left in the dark and still have the same issues as I did when I began to see her, all I asked for was blood work to see exactly what im allergic to because my condition is getting worse and I was denied multiple times I don't know how things work but it seems like she makes more money prescribing medicine then she does making referrals and was very unprofessional the best thing about her office is the staff not her. read more
