This place was super duper bright with neon lights, and it felt like stepping back into my childhood era. The best way that I can describe it is like a more upscale Chuck E. Cheese -- but for adults too. There is so much to do here: tons of arcade games, prizes, and even axe throwing, which is an add-on I have never seen at other arcade spots. They also have a small restaurant that serves typical bar-pub food. I did not get to try the food this time, but the prices looked pretty reasonable. I did try the 21+ bar, and that alone was such a fun experience. I ordered a fishbowl alcoholic beverage, and watching it get made by robotic arms was worth the visit by itself. It is not something that I am used to seeing, and it made the drink feel unique and memorable. The staff was incredibly welcoming. They really took the time to get to know customers -- where you ate from, what you like to drink, and why you atre visiting this location. I told them I wanted a cute, girly, sweet drink that would still get me a little tipsy, and the one that they recommended was perfect. It did exactly what it needed to do. I also love that they offer weekday specials like bingo night, ladies' night, and karaoke night. There ate great bonding activities and they help keep the cost pretty low with these deals. I only stayed for about 4 hours and mostly hung out at the bar, but I can imagine that playing the games would make the experience even better. A quick note: If you plan on doing axe throwing, there is a limit of two drinks that you can have before for safety precautions. There is a sign at the entrance that explains this, so just keep it in mind. There are a ton of photo-op spots too -- little Super Mario characters everywhere -- and even the bathrooms are super duper clean and extremely spacious. I was overwhelmed because they are even bigger than what I have seen in arenas or stadiums. The Mario stickers on the mirrors really tied in the whole arcade look.

    Love the themed cocktails!

What a fun arcade! I loved the themed things such as the cocktails, milkshakes, and decor all around. We just played the games and didn't have the food and there's also an option for axe throwing sessions. There are many options of games including pinball, racing, shooting, ticket games. Not too many rhythm game options. I loved the Flynn nook of old school games like Tron, Jaust, Donkey Kong, etc - some of those games were free to play! It's no Round One but my group had a good time!

Ok, are you looking for fun? Are you looking for a cool place to take your friends? This is the place!! The video games are awesome, staff is lively and accomodating, and it's literally all ages! We had burgers which were cooked to perfection and the pour your own beer wall kept my husband from getting lost! Awesome place!!

Pros: Old school games (not the ones I'm looking for though)! Clean for an arcade. The staff is nice. Cons: Overpriced. Food is not good. Requests: Shinobi Double Dragon Roadblaster Spy Hunter Bad Dudes

Good fries and what is left of the burger. Delicious.

The hamburgers are perfect! The beer is cold. What else could one want? We stopped by here Sunday night for a group birthday party. The pizza was ok but I knew from the Lewis county location that the burgers were excellent. They are here too. The bacon cheddar stuffed burger was perfect. Char on the burger. Seasoned fries. Cold local IPA. It is a big arcade so you got to find the restaurant, and then bar. Nice bar. I recommend hitting this place up.

Booth in the eating area! Eat and play... husband would've been here all day!

Went for the first time right around opening on Sunday. Not super busy yet. This place is huge and has something for everyone. Axe throwing, arcade games, pinball machines, DDR, and prize games. We did see a few games down for maintenance/parts. To be expected at a place like that. Again, something for everyone. You can have birthday parties or work parties here too. We walked in and directly to the left is an ice cream place, and has a ton of specialty stuff like amazing looking delicious options and makes the whole place smell incredible! There's a desk area for any questions you have which is very helpful. Then there are a few electronic stations for new game cards, reloading and checking ticket balances and credits in the cards. Very easy. There was also another one of these machines in the gaming area but it was not working. The Bar, very impressive. They have a beer wall... a BEER WALL. They also have a robotic bar tender. The cocktail list is also very impressive. My only ONLY issue so far was the drinks. They are really expensive. We ordered x2 toxic waste drinks it was $32 they were very bland and very small. Not worth it in my opinion. Could just have been a bad drink, but for the price I expected to be blown away. That being said I ordered a fish bowl drink and that was flavorful and worth the price. I'll try not to be toooooo judgey when it comes to that. The food area, set up with small booths against the wall with TVs for gaming. And cafeteria style seating in the middle very good for large parties. Guys... the menu. There are SO many choices. Healthier options and fried yummies. Honestly I was shocked at how good the food was. Price was higher than I thought but good portions and above average taste. Also our food was delivered by a robot... top tier. Looks like they also have Ladies night, $10 game card with adult meal purchase night, karaoke night, trivia night. The vibe is awesome. I'd stay here all day, my husband would live here if he could. 4/5 stars just because I personally think they could grow more and I'm sure they will, this is a brand new location so I hope they continue to add more! We will absolutely be back! Kudos to the staff too everyone seemed to be happy and helpful!

Games at the tables, drinks, food, atmosphere, pinball, karaoke, t-shirts, ax throwing, prizes, weekly activities and some free to play standing arcade games. What more do you want? This place is an awesome addition to the community.

Omg. Way better than the Centralia location. Bigger, brighter and better!! There are so many rooms, a legit separate bar area, and just so much space! The bathrooms are huge (and fun), I think I counted 3 party rooms, and the family friendly dining area is like a full size cafeteria. This location also has Mario Kart and Mortal Kombat. So happy. :D Staff were friendly if you initiated contact. By the end of the night the bartender knew my name. Wasn't a big fan of the burgers in Centralia so tried the pizza this time. It was OK. Garlic fries were on point! I would come back. Probably never on a weekend. But Mondays are ladies night!

OBSESSED! I wish I could give 736353738 stars! First off, what a FUN crowd! We were there for NYE and had a blast! I love how organized they are from their pizza parlor, front desk, bar, arcade, and such a large space which is nice. For NYE I really appreciated it being adults only after a certain hour. They have a beer garden even! Robots brought you pizzas and even were making drinks. They have a good assortment of games. We will be back!

Such a fun place to experience! When you first walk in there is a merchandise store with cool game-related merch items for sale, and a Photo Booth. Toward a right hallway leads you to the food hall where each table has a game console to play while you wait for your food, or in between bites. You order food on your phone with a QR code or at the counter, and a cute robot brings you your food. Their sliders are delicious! I was shocked, and honestly expecting mid-level food since I assumed it was focused on the games. The sliders are worth ordering, and the mozzarella sticks and jalapeño poppers were fried to crispy perfection. They also have alcoholic drinks, and fun mocktails. The arcade area is down the hall outside the food area. There are so many games, new and old school! The pinball machines lined up against one wall gives a pleasing level of nostalgia. Make your way to the back for axe throwing, too! This place has it all. My friend and I spent several hours eating, gaming, and hanging out while having a blast. It's a perfect place for a night out with friends or family, and for parties and celebrations. In the back toward the restrooms there are three private rooms that I believe you can rent out for parties. This place is a great find!

I had never actually eaten inside a Black Bear Diner before, even though I've heard people rave…read moreabout it for years. The only other time I tried it was for takeout from a location in California, and honestly it was pretty underwhelming. After moving to Washington, though, I figured I'd give the Olympia location a fair shot and try it as a sit-down breakfast spot, though they do offer breakfast/lunch all day. My husband and I came by for a little breakfast date around 9 a.m. It wasn't busy yet, but the parking lot was starting to fill up and it looked like the morning rush was on its way. One thing I did notice right away is that the parking lot feels a bit compact when it starts getting busy, so it's probably a good idea to be mindful of your surroundings when pulling in or backing out. We were seated right away with no wait, although it did take a couple minutes for someone to bring us the paper menus. I will say the menu design was cute -- it's styled like a newspaper. I also liked the aesthetic of the restaurant itself. There were bear decorations and forest-themed designs throughout the place that gave it a rustic, oaky cabin-type vibe, which fit the theme really well. Once we decided what we wanted, our server (I believe her name was Amy) came over. She was an older lady and seemed nice enough throughout the meal. I ordered what I think was the Big Grizzly breakfast, which was about $20. It came with three eggs (I chose sunny side up), sausage, bacon, one side, sweet cream pancakes, and a country ham steak. Since I'm not a big pancake person, I substituted the pancakes for a Belgian waffle instead. The food itself tasted good, but I'll admit I expected the portions to be bigger for the price since I had heard Black Bear Diner was known for huge breakfasts, but they were more moderate than I anticipated. The country ham steak in particular surprised me because it was just a small square piece rather than a larger cut. Maybe that's how it's normally served and I just didn't notice on the menu, but it was a little disappointing considering the price point. One small mix-up happened when our food arrived -- the server accidentally swapped my plate with my husband's. We didn't say anything about it since she was very friendly and it wasn't a big deal to us; she realized later when she stopped by for refills and apologized. My husband ordered a burger (I can't remember which one), and he said it tasted okay. Nothing amazing, but not bad either. It was decent enough for him to finish his meal. I did like that they offered bottomless soda refills, which was nice since I could steal sips from my husband's Pepsi lol. I also liked that there were options for some pepper sauces and condiments already on the table, which made it easy to customize my food without having to request it from my server. Before we left I stopped by the restroom, which could have used a little more attention. The stall I used didn't have a toilet paper holder at all, so the roll was just sitting on the floor. That felt a little unsanitary, but I made do. When the bill came, we were told that card payments are handled at the table, while cash payments have to be taken up to the front register. I paid with card and Amy came back to run it for us without any issue. Including a 20% tip we chose to add, our bill totaled out to $57.71 for our food and one soda, yikes. By the time we were leaving, several families had gathered at the entrance waiting for tables, so it definitely seems like this place gets busy as the morning goes on, probably closer to the brunch crowd around 10 or 11. Overall, the experience was just okay for me. The food tasted fine and the service was friendly, but the portion sizes didn't quite match the price in my opinion. It's a decent breakfast option in the area, but personally I think I might just stick with IHOP next time when it comes to chain breakfast spots.

When I initially walked in, it wasn't too busy, but it filled up quickly while I was still figuring out how to order. They use a kiosk system where you choose dine-in or takeout, and it's nicr that each menu item had photos and ingredient descriptions so it made it way easier to decide, especially for our first visit. The space itself is small and quaint with a couple tables, but full of lovely art. There's lots of cute anime and Japanese-themed decor, including figurines, plushies, and artwork, giving the place such a cozy, cutesy aesthetic. I also noticed they might be hiring, based on the sign at the entrance. I came here because my cousin-in-law (who lives in upper Washington) mentioned the place, and I needed a redemption meal after being disappointed by another chicken spot recently. Katsu Burger definitely delivered! The burgers here aren't your typical American-style burgers. They don't taste as greasy and sub cabbage instead of lettuce, similar to garnish for a tonkatsu plate. And surprisingly, the photos on the kiosk actually match what you get (no false advertising here!). The employee behind the counter was super kind and helped guide us through the ordering process. I don't think they take cash so maybe that's why orders are placed through the kiosk. For food: My son ordered the Tokyo Tower burger as-is, and I tried the Umami Burger with light cabbage (not a huge fan of crunchy water veggies like lettuce/cabbage/etc.). Both were AMAZING. I have heard of tonkatsu but I had no idea what beef katsu was before this. Thought it was just a regular beef patty, but wow.. it was crispy, flavorful, and just overall delicious. We ordered takeout and didn't even get home for about 30 minutes, but the food was still warm enough to enjoy without reheating. Portion-wise, my burger was perfect: filling but manageable (i think i made the right choice with light cabbage). My son's Tokyo Tower was massive (almost too big for him to handle xD), but we both agreed everything tasted incredible. I was tempted to try a bento box, but I knew I wouldn't finish it if I was already ordering a katsu burger. Next time though! My son already has his eye on the enormous Mt. Fuji burger, so we'll definitely be back. Parking is decent, though it can get busy during the day since it's near a gym and other businesses. Overall, if you're in the Lacey area, you HAVE to try this Katsu Burger at least once. It looks like they have about 8 other locations too in the other towns so if you're not in Lacey, there still might be one nearby you. The burgers are absolutely the star of the show :) I'm already looking forward to our next visit!
