Don't come here, you'll just be frustrated and treated like you don't matter. This is not a customer friendly establishent $63 admission x 9 (7adults/teens 2 kids) $150 concessions (popcorn, snacks and drinks x 9 The staff got our kitchen order mixed up and missed 2 of 3 orders. I missed the first 20mins of the movie working patiently with them and the kids to figure it out. We actually were just missing only 1 order, but the cook refused to make it because they "were sure they made it and sent it out to us." So, I gave up and being a mom I just re-ordered and paid for the $10 item again. It's not fun being treated like a liar. It's not fun missing out on the fun with your group. We didn't sneak food/drinks in. We didn't complain or argue. I just wanted my husband, kids, and their friends to have fun and enjoy this local small business drive in movie experience. Pro tip: Make the drive up to Blue Fox Drive in. Much better venue and more professional staff. read more

Great Friday summer night treat after a long week of work. Crowd is an eclectic mix of families with kids, teen & silver-haired couples, and everything in between. On beautiful nights like this evening, some patrons sit outside with their lawn chairs. It's a fun vibe. The concession has a decent selection of snacks and fast food. All reasonably priced. This place isn't fancy at all. In fact, it's run down, all the gravel and dried grass is a little depressing, but this place is still great for nothing else than it's a drive in. The food is greasy (and what I mean by that is that the fries tasted like old oil and the onion rings were a little mushy because they weren't thoroughly fried), the staff is checked out, and the mosquitoes come out at night, but it's still glorious. I went to the concession stand and they had a nice mix of foods and a full condiment bar. They sell posters for previously screened movies for $5, so go ahead and sift through the box. They rent FM radios for $5 and you have to leave your ID, but that's fair if you don't want to run your battery down watching the double feature. There are a few tables around the concession stand which was perfect for us and most tables weren't used anyway because people preferred to eat in their cars. Visiting family with the wee one and we decided to take her and her little cousin to the drive-in theater for Inside Out 2 / Despicable Me 4. This was their first drive-in theater experience. At home the nearest two drive-in theaters is easily over an hour drive, dealing with traffic, so as a family we have not been to one in some 15 years. I was looking forward to this for the novelty of it, as well as the more important aspect of the kids. The price for entry was fantastic, compared to the average brick & mortar theater, especially in SoCal. I purchased them on-line; easy peasy. I appreciated the method for parking, with smaller vehicles to the front and trucks and larger SUVs towards the rear. Although we were to the rear, near the snack bar, the sight lines and viewing turned out to be okay. They open the snack bar upon opening the gates and by the time we set up the kids bedding / seating area in the back of the truck the line was pretty long. This snack bar has stations as you move along, to purchase various food/snack items, with the cashier at the end of the counter. I purchased drinks, popcorn, candies, pretzels and a single kid's hot dog meal. I was provide with a buzzer to return for the hot dog and curly fries, which never went off. I returned after about 20+ minutes to inquire and it was waiting for me in the back. Both items were cold, with the curly fries droopy, but the wee one did not seem to mind (I did, but oh well I suppose). When I paid for the above noted items I did not think twice about the overall price, as everything is reasonably priced as far as I am concerned. However, upon preparing to write this review I discovered I was over-charged by $8. So be it. The snack bar CLOSED mid way through the first movie, which I thought was BS for anyone wanting to purchase items. So be it. Based on the above my/our overall experience was okay. Shelton is fortunate to have a place like this. I recommend this drive-in and would return on our next visit if the movies are little kid friendly. read more

Since we started going here a few weeks ago, we have really enjoyed ourselves. The staff are extremely friendly, the concessions are well done, and fairly priced. For a business that probably makes more of its revenue on food sales right now, the prices are still lower than a mainstream theater. On our last visit, we purchased an XL popcorn and a pizza for $15. I was impressed, and honestly would have paid more. The popcorn was fresh and very well done. The pizza wasn't anything special, but was hand done, absolute hit the spot, and was satisfying. I would highly recommend a visit to Skyline. Right now, they are doing rereleases of some great movies. We have seen, Back to the future, the mummy, Beetlejuice, and Willy Wonka. The picture quality is good, and the radio reception for the audio is really good. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained also. read more

A trip down memory lane. I don't believe I've been to a drive-in theatre since I was 5 years old. I wish the comeback would be stronger, especially during this quarantine time! We always wished for one in Alaska since half the year it would stay so dark, but we were lucky to find Skyline here in Washington! Though it's about an hour from our house, the perks they offer are worth the drive. Tickets are cheap and the vouchers they offer for the snack bar basically cover your cost. The parking system is great and the movies they offer are fantastic! Definitely a wide range of options. I enjoy that they do double-feature nights, and they make it fairly easy if you only want to attend one or the other. Overall, the environment that they create provides a relaxing and private experience. Cars are parked at a sizeable difference so you're not bothered by anyone else's lack of etiquette. They are currently enforcing masks rules for those that our outside of the car and roaming about. Pups are allowed! which was a huge plus. Their snack bar options were vast, some priced better than others, some overpriced for what they were. The website could use some updating and modern care. I will say if you plan on going to see the first movie, and you are more time conscience, be prepared to have some fluidity. The website states the first film would start when the sun goes down, which is currently 10 after 9p. The first movie didn't start that night until 10p. Just a minor inconvenience since we have the commute, but if we had been better prepped for the starting time, we could accommodate better. But overall, we'll be back! They rip you off. Don't use your card here. They deliberatly don't tell you they automatically charge for the driver, sit back and let you over pay. When you tell staff you overpaid at at the drive in location they say this happens all the time, the owners are aware of this and they won't do anything. But "feel free to email them" then they send you to the Facebook page to get the owners email in which the owners conveniently don't respond. I emailed them twice over the series of weeks. If they are going to steal people's money they can atleast put it into their ran down establishment.. but they don't even do that! read more

WOW!!! This place is an absolute gem!!! Had an amazing time last night. Almost don't even want to talk about this business so it won't get mobbed. We saw the new Wonder Woman at Skyline last night, our first time there. Even though the movie was awful, this business is absolutely one of the best in Mason! We went in dead December in freezing pouring rain for an awful movie and had one of the best times in recent memory! The theater is easy to find being right off the free-way. The pricing actually works out cheaper for Skyline than going to a regular theater. And you can sit in your car, talk as much as you want with your car mates and have a much much more fun time than going to a regular theater. The kids working there couldn't have been friendlier and Skyline is like stepping into a time machine in the best of ways. There's only one screen and it's a relatively small place. However it is well laid out. The snack bar was awesome! The popcorn was top notch theater popcorn we all enjoyed and complimented. The pizza was homemade and exceeded what we thought we'd get. And we got a couple other items that were all excellent. We ransacked their snack bar for about $35 and with $8 a head tickets for the movie, this was a relatively inexpensive and very fun unique date night. Although this would have been an absolute riot with a bunch of friends too. They beam the audio out over a radio signal. It sounds awesome on your car stereo and you can absolutely blast it. But you will want to think about if your car battery can take that. You may want to bring a handheld radio just do you don't run down your car battery. You also will want to bring some blankets and some towels if it's raining. But all in all, this is one of the most fun businesses in Mason. After how much fun we had for our first time last night, we're down to go practically any time now. 6/5, go support these guys. They're amazing. PLEASE RUN SOME CLASSIC FILM NIGHTS!!! read more

Man, it's been a long time... We came out and saw ET and Jaws a couple nights ago and it was pretty relaxing. My kids have never been, so my wife and I packed them up with blankets and pillows, backed the SUV in, and posted up. We hit the consession stand for some much needed junk food. Picked up a couple cheese burgers and fries, a couple Pepperoni pizzas, some Dots and Hot Tamales, and some drinks. We headed back to the SUV just in time for the movie to start. Food was pretty good for what it was. Then the whole family cuddled up in the back with blankets and pillows for the movies. The whole night was just really cool. Definately coming back... read more

As a drive in we have never had issues but we just left the "Holiday Laser Light Show" and I would not recommend it. So many people were leaving early because of how bad the show was. The audio kept going in and out, the lasers going over the top of the cars were not visible, the lasers on the screen looked like you were watching a reel to reel movie just blinking over and over (hope you are not epileptic), and the squiggly line "show" was not entertaining... we like going to the drive in movies but the laser show is 10 out 10 would not recommend read more

I have been coming here since I was a kid and it's one of my very favorite places. I have the coordinates tattooed on my shoulder we rent a speaker every time and they used to be great, I think they need to be replaced due to age the quality is pretty poor. The audio for the movies is really negatively affected. That's my only thing I can think of that they could do better. I am so grateful that they found a way to stay open and move digital a few years ago. read more

There is just something so classic and American about a drive in. I'm so happy this drive in is about 20 minutes from Lacey. I went on a Sunday night and it wasn't way busy. The weather was perfect and there was a meteor shower as well , so two shows for the price of one. Now, as someone already mentioned $7 for two movies is just......rediculously good. Sometimes they have triple feature nights and you get 3 shows for the price. $2 for kids 6 to 11, and free for those under 6. I don't have kids, but I know parents complain about not being able to go to the movies without paying a fortune but for a family of four that's just $20 unless your kids are under 6. Of course they have a very nice concession stand where the prices are pretty reasonable. The bathrooms are nice as well. I expected some smelly two stall, one urinal deal, but there are like 5 urinals and 4 or 5 stalls....it looks so small from the outside! Anyway, what I also though was cool is that the movies they play are very recent. If you've ever been to a dollar or cheap movie theatre, you know how they have movies that are like 3-4 months old? Well it's not the case at Skyline. I saw the new Batman and part of the new Spiderman movie. I left slightly after midnight, part way into Spiderman. So it's a great late night getaway. People back into their spots and open up the tailgate or back window and lay down in their trucks or SUV or whatever and enjoy the feature films. It's really nice watching a movie under the stars. You listen to the soundtrack/audio on you FM radio station which is cool too. Not too many bugs, but you might want to put some bug spray on and bring a sweater or cardigan or blanket because the temperature does go down quite a bit. Please check this place out at least once. Some friends and I drove down to Skyline on Easter 2018. Coming from spanaway the drive was about an hour without traffic. At the theaters it was very easy to find good parking in center of the screen. The snack shack was pretty reasonable on pricing I got a hot dog and an XL drink for $7. The movie that was playing was Black Panther and Star Wars after. As they say the movie did start at dawn but the movie didn't get clearer until it got darker. Overall it was a good experience for our first time drive-in movie. I will definitely be returning. read more

Very family friendly drive-in theater, staff was very polite and courteous! We appreciate the time and effort the staff put in to ensure all COVID measures were in place to keep it safe and healthy. Restrooms and surrounding area was very clean and tidy. The movie was Kong vs. Godzilla on the big screen, the audio was great through the FM radio in your car, the kids had an amazing time, great to enjoy the outdoors. The layout in terms of parking was easy to maneuver around and was even a bit elevated to where there was a bit of height in the ground for better viewing. You can either pull forward or pull in reverse to watch the movie. The snack bar was classic, a great experience to watch a movie with the family in your own little space with all the typical treats at a drive in theater, homemade pizza, burgers, nachos and sweets! All in all a great place to enjoy some movie entertainment, oh plenty of stars to look up at too! read more

Yes, I am a fan. i do love the Skyline Drive-In but they need to SERIOUSLY reevaluate their staff. Ticket booth and people who walk around checking on cars are great but their concession staff is terrible! They have recently installed a cattle drive like railing that wraps around their concession stand. This thing can not be taken down when it is not busy and is completly ridiculous when you are the only one in line on a Wednesday night. Next, I could swear the staff doesn't even know what they sell nor are they aware of what their specials are. They now have this system where you enter the cattle pen and continue on to 4 different stations to order hot food, drinks, popcorn, and then cady. WTF!? A few weeks ago they even gave me guff about ordering my candy at station 2 rather than 4 WHEN I WAS THE ONLY ONE IN LINE!!!!!!! I understand they might need this system when it is busy but when it is not busy...why the hell is it there? Besides, the staff doesn't seem to understand how it works anyway so what is really is the point of this effin cattle drive? If you happen to park to the right of the screen in rows 2-5 then God help you. There is a street light just beond the screen to the left that is blinding. You can't focus on the movie at all....especially when the movie you are watching has night shots or something. IT IS THE WORST! All they have to do is build a bit of a wall (perhaps 10-12 feet) on the sides of the screen that go out about 10 or so feet to fix this problem. The closer you are the better but if you do get stuck on the right then perpare for a double feature of distractions. They also have a bad habit of playing the same movies for weeks at a time. They have informed people on their facebook that this is done to make sure people don't 'miss out' on a movie. I do understand this. They are trying to max their profits. However, gets a bit annoying when you want to go to the dirve but don't want to see X-Men for the entire month of July. But, one thing they do that is great is take requests on their facebook page. For instance, some fan requested a double feature of Deathly Hallows 1 and 2 as well as The Hangover 1 and 2. We had to wait 2 months for both but they did come through. They should really have thought about that a bit more in May when they were starting up again. Perhaps they could have done an online poll back in the spring on facebook to determine what movies would be shown on a "fan week' or something like that would be cool. They have great specials at their concession stand. This week for the Harry Potter double feautre they had A Wizard Combo and a Muggle Combo (Butterbeer, chocolate frogs, etc). Really great when they do creative things like that for an AWESOME price!!! $5 for two corn dogs, french fries and a drink!!!!!!! Getting closer to the community would really help this business and I think they are just starting to realize that. I gladdly support them and frequent them as often as I can but PLEASE STOP HIRING IDIOTS at your concession stand!!! read more

Over a the weekend before taxes were due I was taking a break from reviewing receipts and entering data on my computer. I glanced to see what was playing at the "nearest" drive-ins using the website http://www.drive-ins.com .I stumbled upon this one and saw that it was playing "300" *and* "Grindhouse. Ticket price? $6. That's it. Wow! I ignored the cost of gasoline (150 miles round trip) and went anyway. According to their website the sound was on the AM channel and gates would open at 7PM. I left around 5:15PM to make sure I could get a space. Initially I drove down Lynch avenue looking for the theater when you actually turn off 101 and then turn again onto that little road from there. When I did see the line there were only four cars or so (635PM or so). I let my car idle a little bit before shutting it off to save some gasoline. When they opened I pulled up, paid my $6 and noticed that the audio was now on FM 93.7. Oddly, they appeared to be rebroadcasting another station rather than playing their own music before the movies began. I chose my spot which was third row and off center. I drive a small car so I can choose any spot. Vans, trucks, and larger vehicles are supposed to park from the fifth row back. I brought a lawn chair but it was slowly getting colder than the sweatshirt I was wearing could handle so I nixed that idea. I wasn't sure if it was allowed or not. I hit the snack bar after I got my spot. I brought soda but my "rule" is that if they don't sell my brand then I drink mine. If they do sell it then I buy it. I got a large soda for $4 and nachos for $3. They have cashiers and you order like a fast food restaurant. I prefer the cafeteria style where you pick your food out of a warmer. Then your hungry lizard brain can bypass the menu. See hotdog. Get hotdog. Pay for hotdog. Eat hotdog. I returned to my car to enjoy my snacks. I glanced up to see three large vehicles park in the front row. A man that was standing off to my right in the lot walked over to them. Ooh busted ! They moved their vehicles. I also glanced back to see three kids setting up in lawn chairs. I didn't see anyone else do this so I conformed and left my chair in the trunk. He walked over to them and they put their chairs away. Generally I thought if you sat in front of your car you were ok. These kids were taking up a space meant for another car. I needed to hit the facilities as drinking a half gallon of soda and chomping salty snacks inspired me. The men's room was out of order so I had to use one of two porta potties. Wonderful. Minus 1/2 star. The ladies room (as far as I could tell) was still open. I came prepared for the theater this time. I brought a lawn chair, a walkman for the sound, sweatshirt, windex for the windshield, soda, and cash for the tickets and food. Only thing I forgot was a thicker coat and blanket. (And arguably a date I guess...) As you stare at the screen you face west and the sun ducks behind it and the mountains in the distance. The first movie started around 8:15 and it wasn't completely dark yet. After fiddling with my walkman I decided to simply use my car radio with the key in the proper ignition location so I didn't drain my battery. The FM sound was certainly better than AM but still monaural and I think they had the pre-amp up too loud or unbalanced (DJ remixing / sound nerd skillz coming into play here) so quiet voices of the characters slightly approached the unintelligibilty of a fast food speaker. The music and sound effects did rumble in my car dramatically. Even though, I wasn't expecting THX 7.1 sound anyway I ding 1/2 a star. "300" was basically say something dramatic then kill a lot of people. Repeat. It was entertaining but I was distracted by the ridiculously impractical shorts and cape outfits of the Spartans. I kept thinking that the heavy metal band 'Manowar' and their devoted fans were fighting the Persians. In one of the battle scenes the music was emphasized by heavy guitar riffing so it wasn't that much of a stretch. After this movie was over and the credits rolled I dashed to the men's room again. (Gallon of soda...) I also wanted more snacks. I got the bowl of chili $2.25 and a corn dog $2. I was given a number and they cook up the food like a regular grill. Seemed like forever before my number was called. I got back to my car just in time for the real movie previews and "fake previews" of Grindhouse. There probably isn't a more perfect movie for the drive-in. Blood, guts, action, inside jokes, and interesting dialogue. Plus intentional lines, scratches, and film 'damage'. This weekend we went to the Skyline to watch the double featrure of Batman and Spiderman. It was a blast from the past. I remember how much I loved the drive-in back when I was a kid. Taking my one year old to her first drive-in just reminded me how much I appreciate the family quality time a drive-in can provide. The facilities were clean. The movie screen was crisp and clear. I was worried tha ta dark movie like Batman could be tough to see at night. We had no problem watching the movie- even at a distance. The Skyline has tons of food options- burger, popcorn, pretzels, candy, nachos. . . hot chocolate. . . ice cream, pizza. . . endless! And, all at a reasonable price. Fun!!! I'd never been to a drive-in theater before, so when an old friend of mine said that there was one out near her parents' new home in Shelton, I thought it was worth a weekend trip. We stocked up her SUV with loads of blankets and pillows and maybe even sneaked in some edible/drinkable goodies, too (though they do discourage this and have a sign at the entrance saying they reserve the right to search vehicles... the family in the truck next to us had bags of home-popped popcorn, though, so I guess they don't enforce it TOO strictly!). They do sell their own popcorn, nachos, and other snacks there. For just $6 each - CASH ONLY - we got to see a double feature. Can't beat that! It was a beautiful evening after a 90+ degree day, but we were really glad we had those blankets because it got chilly once the sun set. I was expecting some little speaker thing that you stick on the car window, but they actually broadcast on the FM radio station... so either be prepared to leave your car battery running the radio, or bring one from home. They also rent radios for $2, but the concessions line was ridiculously long and it turns out you have to leave them a credit card or something which you get back upon return of the radio. Sounds like a big hassle. The SUV ahead of his had a hatch that raised well above the level of the car's roof, and that blocked a bit of the lower portion of the screen for us, but in all we could see pretty well. Smaller cars can park closer to the screen; we were up in row 6 or 7, but it wasn't too far away to enjoy the movie. I would definitely go back here all the time in the summer if I lived closer! read more

I loved Skyline growing up. I remember warm summer popcorn filled 90's movies with my grandparents. As a teen my friends and I would don pajamas and cram into a tiny hatchback to kill the boredom of a week night. Now we move to the present: Skyline has made their transition to digital! They continue to be a fantastic drive in. I am more than willing to drive to Shelton to see a Double Feature and the Triple Feature during Labor Day. The prices are fantastic and keep me from going broke. I love going to movies and would definitely go every other day. Skyline's double features are a nice once a week trip. They have kid movies, PG 13 movies and R rated films. I can't guarantee both movies will be fantastic, but both are usually good. Great for fun, dates, kids, or as something to do when your teething baby won't go to sleep. read more

Amazing experience. This drive in has a great screen, I don't see why people even bother going to the movie theaters! This was my first drive in experience and I'm super bummed it had to happen only now. My boyfriend and I will definitely be back soon. Go skyline! I really could not be more excited. Plus you get to watch the movie in the comfort of your own car with pillows and comfy blankets. Movie theaters have dirty seats and sticky floors. This is my new preferred way to watch a movie. Nostalgic fun for the family. However the concession lines took forever and would of been worse if we hadn't grabbed before the movie started. I wasn't a fan of the amount of smoking going on. To each their own, but I prefer to not have to smell or inhale it as well. We followed the rules, but many people still brought in outside food, so it's not regulated at all. Likely because they wouldn't be able to ha see the volume if everyone ordered popcorn and food. Overall we had fun, but I've ordered a projector to have our own summer movies next season. read more

This is not the classic junk drive through theater. They have made serious investments. They recently did a Kickstarter campaign & updated their projector to a digital style. Firstly let me say that I love the idea of drive-in cinemas, and am deeply saddened that my children will probably never get to experience one. Living in this area my entire life Skyline has been a big part of the culture of my childhood, and I'm superbly grateful for it's existence. With that being said, I do have a few bones to pick... The last time I was there me and my fiance had a pretty terrible experience. We got there maybe 30 minutes early, realized no one was there yet, parked and waited in line. We figured we probably looked like dorks but whatever, we were just chatting and playing some vidya gaems. About 15 minutes before gates a woman in a van, who I can only assume is owner/manager, rolled up beside us and looked at us like we were freaks. As if it was a ridiculous occurrence that we would show up 15 minutes early. I know it's not really a big deal, but it definitely wasn't my idea of great service. Finally, about 5 minutes before the gates were to open, there was a decent line forming behind us. We saw a few workers open up the ticket booth and get ready to open up the gate, and (I assume) start letting people in. At this point I started up my engine and the guy working looked at me like I was an idiot and yelled "NO! Jesus Christ you people..." Terribly rude service, imo. On the good side of things, I've found that the workers at the concession stands are usually friendly, the prices are a bit expensive but that's to be expected. I'm also a fan of their recent use of social media to promote events, showtimes, meal deals, etc. So in the end it's not all bad, but until someone explains why we were treated so terribly that day I'm not certain I can really support this place outside of the occasional movie. read more

Well it was an experience.... One...the concessions were over priced and garbage...all food was cold including the nacho cheese...how do you get cold nacho cheese?... Two...no clear exit sign...ended up leaving through the entrance... Three...good price for a movie and new releases but overall experience was just...meh read more
