Dr. Jennifer is an outstanding chiropractor. I came to her with severe shoulder pain and long-standing tennis elbow. At my first visit, I had very limited range of motion in my shoulders and the pain was keeping me up at night. I feared I had frozen shoulder. During that first appointment, she quickly identified the problem areas and provided noticeable relief right away. I slept better that night, and my mobility has continued to improve with each visit. What really sets her apart is how thoroughly she treats the whole body. Along with her precise adjustments, she uses modern equipment, including a specialized table that gently rotates the body as she performs Active Release Technique (A.R.T.) Her understanding of muscular and skeletal systems is exceptional--she always knows exactly where to work. This was my first time visiting a chiropractor and to be honest, I was scared to death before arriving. People that I have talked to that have had these visits warned me that it would be extremely painful, but after going to Dr. Jen, I think a lot of the "pain" depends on the doctor that is performing the exam. I purchased the living social deal that covered a full hour of the doctor's time, starting with a foot scan then the chiropractic exam, ending with a 20 minute active release massage. What i really liked was that Dr. Jen talked me through the entire process, explaining what she was doing and why. She was really easy to talk to and we were able to have conversations about our backgrounds and I found out that she has worked with 8 olympians-impressive! The foot scan targeted 16 points in my foot and shows me what areas of my foot are weaker. If i ever want to order custom orthopedics, all the information is saved and they can get those to me within a week, which is awesome. The massage was really great-although it was only 20 minutes, I got more out of it than I would from a full hour's worth. I was put on a table that moves side to side and up and down while Dr. Jen massaged the muscles that needed loosening. She also had me do exercises such as crossing my arms in front of me while she worked out the kinks in my neck and shoulder. Some of it did hurt but only for a second and I noticed that I felt looser right away. The only complaint I have is that I wish the exam/massage was more private. I moved back and forth from a couple of rooms and the door was open at all times and one of the rooms is actually a part of the main lobby area where anyone walking in could have seen me getting my massage. I started going to Dr. Jen 2/2014 for Achilles problems in both feet. Surgery was recommended. Dr. Jen was able to do her magic and saved me from surgery. After about 3 months going 1 to 2 times a week, I was walking without a limp. In November I am able to walk 2 to 3 miles without issues. I am now visiting once a month for tuneup on my whole body. Pros: Great chiropractor skills. She has helped me with many upper and lower back problems. Cons: Has difficulty navigating insurance plans. Yes they are complex but ultimately she makes little effort to understand the process and you could end up paying more than you should. Also, she has issues with the patient/doctor relationship: Shares TMI, gives unwarranted advice and likes to constantly correct what you say (probably threatened by patients who are health care professionals). Dr. Jennifer provided a complimentary foot scan and discussed what benefits the wellness program would provide. I've been seeing her monthly ever since and really enjoy my treatments. The pins and needles and the ripping and tearing I felt on the bottoms of my feet led me to Dr.Jen Forster. It hurt to put my feet on the ground. I woke up every morning with deep aches in both calves and both ankles burning. Plantar fasciitis was the diagnosis. After 6 weeks of physical therapy and wearing a night boot for months it had only slightly improved. Jen knew exactly what to do! She worked on the muscles of my feet for 6 weeks and changed everything! She worked on my feet in such a way that the ripping and tearing are nearly gone. I have been searching for what feels like forever to find the right chiropractor. Dr. Jen was very informative and made me feel confident that she could help me. I was having severe pain in my chest and it was freaking me out. I went to see her and she was able to put my mind at ease and went straight to work. I went through three sessions with her over a week period to adjust my ribs that she informed me were out and she also helped adjust my neck and hips too! I really needed it and she took her time and made me feel cared about. I felt a significant amount better even by the first session. Dr. Jen is unlike any other chiropractor. Her technique is hard to find and I will continue to see her. Thanks to Dr. Jen I feel so much better! Wonderful Dr. Jen. Been going to Dr. Jen off and on for at least 10 years. She always delivers the most healing treatments. Her sidekick massage therapist is great, too. Dr. Jen is particularly good with senior citizen aging aches and pains. This is a specialty of hers on top of treating sports and stress injuries. She takes the time with her patients to help them rehab so they can better take care of themselves. Dr. Jen also is committed to voluntarily mentoring chiropractic interns. Dr. Jennifer Forster has been a blessing in my life. Many years ago I had a bad wakeboarding accident and my back has never been the same since. I've also had headache and neck issues from time to time. Nothing seemed to help much, so I thought chiropractic help may be worth a try. I never really had issues with my health and never thought I would need any other help besides my normal doctor, but I'm sure glad I found Dr. Forster. She is very knowledgeable, a great listener, and just gives off a great sense of caring that makes you feel like she truly wants to help wherever she can to get you feeling better. My back has felt much better over the last year of regular visits and I do not get the headaches I was getting. She also introduced me to the wonderful pillow I know use every night and has helped me sleep better and wake up without pain in my neck. I definitely recommmend her. read more

I happened to mention to my massage therapist that I was experiencing some foot problems. Since she too had issues with her feet and was receiving treatment from Dr. Jen at Insight Chiropractic, she suggested that I have a consultation with her (Dr. Jen). I'm glad I did. The health of my feet has improved greatly, thanks to Dr. Jen's treatments. I now visit her for chiropractic maintenance care and occasional acute needs. I appreciate the time -- typically twenty to even thirty minutes -- that she takes to address the needs I bring to her attention. I never fear that she'll rush me out the door so she can adjust her next patient, then the next, then the next in succession. (Three-minute adjustments, typical at many chiropractic offices, are major turn-offs for me.) I recommend Dr. Jen for general chiropractic care, in addition to treatment of foot issues, which are her specialty. read more

I had a pinched nerve on my left shoulder which also numbed my left thumb. Dr. Jen worked on me for a couple of visits and it gradually improved my condition. Not only that, the treatment is also helping me with my migraine issues. With a hereditary migraine problem and scoliosis, the chiropractic treatment is obviously helping my body heal itself naturally. I truly believe that Insight Chiropractic's Dr. Forster is one of the best chiropractor's in the San Jose area. I have been treated by several in the past and she is the first to be able to make a huge difference in neck and back pain. Her approach to chiropractic medicine is completely innovative and unique to that of other chiropractors. By incorporating her total body approach she provides treatment that deals with the entire body. She has an amazing ability to be completely in tune with exactly what part of your body is bothering you and comes up with direct solutions.
