It's near the college and medical centers so I'm not sure how the parking is. For us, we walked. Location is clean, and the staff was nice. Experience: cookies are super expensive! They literally had menu items - 6 cookies for $26 plus tax! To me, that was disgusting. On top of it, all the cookies were nasty except for the confetti one which was delicious! I am not sure why companies are cutting corners with flavor and keeping the price sky high -but that's what the cookies are giving. For that, I have to give it 3 stars. I can make my own delicious tasting cookies at home so I will do that going forward! read more

The cookies itself are a 5-star. It's reputation speaks for itself. White Chocolate Macadamia Nut is my favorite. I'm not a fan of chocolate, but the Double Chocolate Chunk is pretty good too. What I'm rating as a 3-star is the service and lack of available parking spots. Not sure why Insomnia Cookies can't carve out a spot for the patrons. Went here hoping for a quick dessert after dinner. We show up and we wanted 6 deluxe cookies. We were informed that any deluxe cookie would be a 25 min wait. That kinda sucked but we got 6 basic cookies but even then they were out of the chocolate chunk. We ended up getting m&m, whitechocolate macadamia, peanut butter chip, and double chocolate chip. Stopped in to pick up some warm cookies. I have stopped by a couple of times now and each time I came back in it was an off-peak time and they always had a good variety of warm cookies available. I have tried the following varieties: -chocolate chip -sugar -M&M -deluxe confetti (bigger size) -deluxe salted caramel (bigger size) - vegan gluten free chocolate chip Every flavor tasted excellent. For the vegan gluten free cookie, they did ask if there was an allergy concern and would put it in a separate box which I appreciated the effort. I also ordered the "cookie 'wich" which is their ice cream sandwich with 2 cookies. They had at least 6 flavors of ice cream to choose from. Due to covid, they packed it all separately and I constructed the cookie ice cream sandwich myself when I got home. Everyone working there is always friendly and nice. There is some counter seating where you can look out the window as you enjoy your warm cookie. However, the parking there is tough since there isn't any for several blocks so I put my hazards on, parked in front of the place, ran in to pick of cookies, and drove off to enjoy them down the street where I found some on-street parking. read more

Highly recommend the snickerdoodle cookie with a side of coffee ice cream! No parking at this location, you'll need to park across the street or around the corner and walk up. Do you want a fresh, warm, melt in your mouth cookie? Then this is the place. The prices are steep but for the quality listed in the first sentence, I get it. This would be a once a month or two type treat. Because of Covid, they do not make the cookie sandwiches in store. They give you everything to make it yourself when you leave. It's amount of ice cream was more than plenty. The ice cream, was also very tasty. I could just go inside the establishment to smell the air and fix my cookie cravings! They do have some random good deals like 6 cookies FREE for teachers went on for a little bit. They also advertise for cookie cakes! Who doesn't love a cookie cake? The location is downtown Bull City so parking is a little tough. They have room for one or two cars to pull right in front for the curbside pickup! We had to wait in a long line, it took about 10 minutes to get to the front. They looked up the order and agreed it wasn't on the counter for pick up. The cookies were warm and nicely packaged when I arrived, and curbside pickup is super quick and easy here (minus the lack of parking spaces). Up until recently we'd had no issues with this Insomnia Cookies location (other than the fact that their ice cream pints were less than half full) BUT we made an order last night, the cookie tracker said it was delivered to the door (IT WASN'T) we tried calling the number multiple times,, tried different extensions and YOU CANNOT REACH A REAL PERSON! Every time we tried we were shuffled onto a long hold only eventually to be given the same voicemail box and then the voicemail is full! For the SECOND time this week I placed an online order to the Main Street Durham Store only to end up with nothing. The first night we placed an order and about 15 minutes later got a call saying "we don't have anymore cookies e are closing early." So we were given the option of a refund out to pick up later that day.
