    Molten strawberries with ice cream.

This was a great spot to get something sweet to drink and eat after the Festibull lights! It's quick and they are so friendly! We got the molten strawberry with hard ice cream instead of whipped cream. It was sweet and tangy! It's never too cold for icecream!

Perfect spot to grab a sweet treat just steps from the Durham Bulls stadium. They have tons of options to pick from including dairy and nondairy shakes, sundaes and molten chocolate cups. The inside is well lit and has plenty of seating for small or large groups. Super nice staff that greats you right when walk in!

The Milkshake Factory has awesome milkshakes- creamy, cold, and not too sweet! I walked here from a local venue and really appreciated the ambiance inside the store. It fits well with the surrounding shops. I ordered the mint chocolate chip milkshake and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'll be back!

This is a cute little place. The inside is bright and inviting. We were greeting upon entering. We wanted non-dairy and they had 4 options for milkshakes: chocolate, strawberry, cookies and cream, and peanut butter. I opted for the peanut butter add chocolate and it was delicious!!! We paid around $18 for two. Nice place to go during the warmer months.

Adorable store with lots to choose from. My son and I were visiting my other son at work and stopped in. I tried the banana cream pie milkshake, and it was amazing! My son got chocolate covered pretzels, which she loved and we got some chocolate bark to take home. Everybody was super friendly and I got to watch my milkshake being made by my kid which is extra special. Milkshake was made quickly!

Legit Milkshake shop in the tobacco road area. I had the cookie brownie fudge Milkshake which was delicious and well mixed (no straw clogging with huge cookie chunks). Seemed like a good place for dessert after a bulls game or DPAC show. They also have sundaes which i will probably get to share next time.

I was craving a milkshake, so what's better than a whole shop dedicated to one? The menu had a ton of different flavors to choose from, so it was difficult to just pick one (first world problems, I know). I settled on the campfire s'mores and it came with a giant s'mores pop. It was absolutely delicious! This place is conveniently located in downtown Durham right next to DPAC. Pro tip: if you're craving dessert after a show, grab a milkshake here to pass the time and let the rush of traffic empty out. I want to try another flavor, so I will be back!

I love milk milkshakes and this place is in a great location and open late. I got the strawberry dipped chocolate and having a chocolate covered strawberry on top was the cherry on top! My least favorite thing about the milkshake was the small choco chips that were a bit too waxy and too many. I would enjoy a smooth delicious treat so may need to try some of the other flavors!

I attended their official grand opening because I was interested to see new additions to the tobacco campus area and how that changes the dynamic of the food scene downtown. This place is a small franchise within a (slightly) larger chain originated out of Pittsburgh. Although relatively new (and certainly to the triangle) there is a fairly deep history written beneath Milkshake Factories incorporation which goes back to a family making chocolates since 1914. Ice cream is of a high quality but primarily this is a franchise that wants to be chocolate first, or at least chocolate equal with various types of chocolate bark, chocolate covered pretzels and others. They will give free chocolate samples if you are undecided. The milkshake selection is still impressive though with something for every member of your group including dairy free options that are legitimately thought out and dessert worthy instead of the typical afterthought dairy free options similar places can have I was told the cappuccino and dairy free was the only one to avoid. One of the signature milkshakes - Chocolate Dipped Strawberry is a great option for a flavor that doesn't get as much love as it should. They also offer several sundaes and a root beer float. All of these options elevate it into more dessert bar status instead of just Milkshakes like the name implies. Location is great for taking the kids over after a bulls game or stopping by after a show at the dpac. They are open late by the way, hours I got from the door at the time of me writing had them open until 12am on Friday and Saturday with 10pm every other day. Staff has been amazing so far and very helpful for people with questions about the menu or anything else. I have no reason to not recommend this to you when you are in downtown! I hope they have plenty of success.

The milkshake factory is a fun addition to downtown! The milkshakes are a little pricey compared to what I'm used to but definitely yummy. I really like their chocolate selection as well. I tried the mint cookies and cream milkshake and some of the different barks

    Heaven in a cup!

I had to give less than 5 stars on the whole. The shake was a 5. Excellent shake; however, I found the pricing to be less than desirable.

Good food choices but be ready for a wait!…read more I have been to Wheat twice and tried a variety of the vegetarian dishes. I had the Vegetable Lo Mein, Braised Tofu, Mapo Tofu, Fried Rice and Spring Rolls. The Braised Tofu is not very flavorful, so I would avoid that. The Mapo Tofu is absolutely delicious and has that perfect peppercorn kick. It is spicy, so get a sweet drink on the side if you are not a fan of spice. Vegetable Lo Mein is a large quantity with lots of vegetables. Ask for some sauces on the side because it is bland on its own. On the other hand, the Fried Rice is yummy on its own or with the Mapo Tofu. Spring Rolls are a little oily to my liking but are a good vegetarian appetizer option. I will say that this place is always packed, even on weekdays and sometimes the wait staff forgets about you. It took several rounds to get them to take our order, give the food or even get the check at the end. I will try it out next time at lunch time because maybe it is a little faster. I plan to be back for the Mapo Tofu and Fried Rice

For example, when my friend told him that she wanted to order the beef intestine soup, he straight up said "uh are you sure? I think it's bad, I don't like that dish" which we all thought was a very strange thing to say. A lot of their menu items looked really good and while initially I thought that I would want to come back sometime and try them, the attitude of the waiter was so off putting that I highly doubt I'll ever be back here.

And it all started way back when being sold from a bicycle that was converted to dispense coffee! My spouse had an Americano and I had the Amalgamation cold brew tea when I saw someone walk by with it. He said it was very tart, but I thought I'd try it anyway. It's Very Heavy on the hibiscus tea, which is all I could taste, in spite of lemongrass, peppermint, orange peel, and cacaco nibs being in it too. I had some honey added, but that wasn't enough to temper the tartness so added some sugar, which only had a little effect. It wasn't until I added some half and half that it became better. That's my taste buds. Anyone else's may be different, but with or without the cream, it's a very pretty drink. We brought the cinnamon roll home to have later, but it smells divine.
